"I am alright," Dominic replied. In truth, he was anything but fine, but honestly, he didn’t want to get down and tell Luca about the anger and rage that his wolf felt toward him. Nor did he want to discuss the bla ga that was going on between him and his wolf. There was a very good chance that Luca might just agree with his wolf.
Since that was the case, what was the point in even discussing sothing that would eventually hurt him?
"Are you sure?" Lucas asked. His eyebrows were creased, and he clearly seed to be worried about him and yet Dominic couldn’t bear to bare his thoughts to his childhood friend. He knew that there was no point in doing it. Luca would never understand him.
Friends, they might be. Luca’s feelings might be just as explosive as his own when it ca to Inez.
"I am sure." Dominic straightened up. His gaze was unfocused, but he still straightened up his spine and looked around with a hint of a frown and frustration on his face. He said to Luca, "Go and call Tao. There is sothing that I want to speak to him about."
He didn’t have much trust in Evelyn and her lies, but that didn’t an he was just going to give up on looking for Inez. He was going to find her, and this ti, he was going to ask her why she had done that to Arabella. Why did she betray him and his sister?

"Achoo!" settled on the recliner with a book in her hands. Inez briefly looked away from the paperback as she grabbed her cup of coffee and took a sip from it. She had always adored reading books on architecture, and the ancient artefacts had always called out to her. But today, for so reason, even with her most fascinating book at hand, she just couldn’t keep her thoughts in control.
In the end, Inez could only throw the book to one side and head over to her bathing room, where she shed her clothes and buried her head under the water. Every ti Inez felt her head bursting with a myriad of thoughts, she liked staying under the water while holding her breath. The subtle force and pressure of the water over her body, along with the burning feeling in her lungs, helped to suppress the thoughts in her head.
Inez had recovered from the drugs by afternoon, and with her making a full recovery, Selene had taken her leave. It was a good thing that the woman had left, or else Inez was worried that the woman would certainly not allow her to swim under the water or stay low for so long, even if she was a water creature.
Though Inez was glad to have soone showing concern, what she liked more was having the lodge to herself. She had gotten calls, ssages and visits from the pack mbers all day long. Although she appreciated the concern, Inez hoped that they would give her so ti alone. Unfortunately, the alone ti that she had been craving didn’t help her calm down much, not with so many thoughts flooding her head.
It was as if her head was about to burst due to the pressure.
Inez opened her eyes, which had turned into slits and stared at the man who was standing next to the jacuzzi. She hated the little flip that her stomach did due to the excitent that she was feeling at the mont, due to the man’s presence. Her siren let out a seductive purr within her head when she noticed the heated gaze with which the man was looking at her.
She quickly boxed the excitent shut because Inez knew that this was not the ti. She swam out of the water and pulled the towel around her body. Wrapping it around, she turned to look at the man with a hint of reproach in her eyes. "Tell , how will you feel if I just barge into your shower when you are naked and busy doing ... your stuff?"
Leaning against the doorfra, he lifted his brows with a hint of a smug smile on his lips. "Well, you can if you want—do you think that letting you watch shower is going to bother ? You are forgetting that we are way ahead of that, Bubbles."
Well, he was right about that, but did he have to be so brazen about it?
His gaze slowly raked over her body, taking in her curves. Her pulse quickened under his intense and bold perusal. And did she feel sothing zap down her spine? Shit. She did. Didn’t she?
Her siren sat up straight like an idiot; clearly, she was enjoying the attention the man was giving her.
Inez ignored the way his gaze was following her. She tightened the towel around her body and asked, "So you are back from downtown? What did you find about Joannes and the witches who were working together with him?" She wanted to keep the tone of her voice perfectly civil because the last thing she wanted was to act all flustered due to the sexual tension that she was feeling at the mont.
His eyes snapped back up; he caught her eyes and nodded at her. "Yes," though he spoke in a perfectly polite voice that matched hers, she noticed that there was sothing twisted in his tone, sothing that made her stomach twist. "I didn’t know that you could breathe underwater. Is this sothing that you like to do or sothing?"
"Yes, it helps when my thoughts are running out of control," replied Inez. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at him. "I hope you ca here to tell what Joannes told you instead of peeping at like a Peeping Tom."
"Hmmm, are you hungry?" Instead of answering her question, he turned around on his feet and headed out of the room, leaving Inez to stare at his back in sheer confusion. "Hey!?"
