Chapter 994: Where’s Xu Feng?
As Xu Feng’s body began to change and receive a trendous upgrade, back at the ascended platform, it finally stopped at one of the highest floors.
The door in front of them opened up a glamorous view.
"Welco, holders of the VIP Ticket." A server quickly greeted them and smiled politely. "The seniors and seeded candidates are waiting up ahead. Do keep in mind to understand the candidates might be focusing their mindset on the upcoming competition."
The crowd nodded their heads in understanding. Naturally, none of them were foolish enough to disturb the candidates.
They were only here to converse and greet the candidates’ seniors. Each senior was a reputable and influential figure whom even their family elders had to respect.
While they were being guided along by the server, the crowd was soon greeted by many other people who were holding glasses of champagne and chatting among others.
These people arrived even earlier without the need for a VIP ticket. This difference alone was enough to depict their standings.
"Hmm, where’s Xu Feng at?" Amidst soone at the front, a woman frowned upon not spotting a familiar figure.
"Uncle Alfred, are you sure you gave him a VIP ticket?" The woman was none other than Allison, who quickly darted her eyes at Alfred.
Alfred was also confused by the situation and turned his attention to Zhao Kai.
Upon feeling their intense gaze, Zhao Kai raised his hands up innocently. "Feng told
that he will co. I don’t know why he’s not up here."
After saying that, Zhao Kai took out his phone and wanted to call Xu Feng, only to end up going to voicemail.
"I told you that the design of this is crap." Allison glared at her uncle and said in annoyance. "If Xu Feng really made it to the exclusive lot, we wouldn’t know either because there are no services in that particular section."
Alfred flashed a bittersweet smile. How could he say that the exclusive lot was designed in such a manner to prevent any paparazzi or dia leakage?
"Let
go forward and ask a few of the newcors to see." Without a choice, Alfred stepped forward and inquired a few people.
When the newcors spotted Alfred approaching them, their emotions were agitated.
After all, Alfred was a renowned figure, and being able to be so close to him in such proximity was already a great honor to them.
"Have any of you t soone like this?" Alfred retrieved a photo of Xu Feng and asked.
The first few groups of people all shook their heads simultaneously. They were foreign to Xu Feng and were confused as to who the individual was to warrant Alfred to personally inquire.
Despite not getting the response he wanted, Alfred wasn’t disappointed and continued with others.
Soon, he stumbled across a trio and when the trio saw the picture in question, their expression turned awkward.
And in that instance, Alfred knew the trio must have t with Xu Feng before.
How could their micro expression escape his keen eyes?
"So was this person present at the exclusive lot?" Alfred asked once again, his tone slightly authoritative this ti.
Both Ren Ding and Shao Chen nearly fainted on the spot. They didn’t expect the absent-minded individual to actually have a relationship with Alfred.
Had they known beforehand, then they would have risked everything to inform the latter to hurry up to the platform.
Not only would they have done Xu Feng a great favor, but they would also be recognized for their good deed in Alfred’s eyes.
Seeing the two behaving like they had just missed a pot of gold, Alfred’s expression turned slightly cold.
Rather than questioning these two n, his attention soon shifted to the woman, Hua Lian.
Facing the gaze, Hua Lian swallowed a mouthful of saliva and explained the circumstance without concealing anything.
"That person asked us a question when he arrived at the exclusive lot. When we told him that there was a waiting ti, he returned to his vehicle to nap." Hua Lian said and continued, "The platform tir was counting down, so we didn’t go to wake him up and boarded the platform instead."
Upon hearing that, Alfred nodded his head.
"Thanks for the honesty." He calmly said and noted down Hua Lian’s na in his mind. As for the other two young n, Alfred was disappointed in them.
It was fine to secure your own future, but to attempt to conceal or stay silent about an incident proved that they weren’t the type to own their mistakes or take responsibility.
Such people were destined to always cower in fear and wouldn’t be able to reach a higher state.
With the information on hand, Alfred returned to Allison’s side and inford her of the matter.
Sure enough, Allison’s expression showed a baffled look.
"You an that he took a nap and missed the platform?" Even when asking that, Allison found it hard to believe Xu Feng would miss it.
Not to ntion Allison, even Zhao Kai was stupefied and wondered if the elder brought in so fake news.
’Feng has always been punctual unless he wanted to skip the event.’ He thought to himself. Back then, Xu Feng skipped the school competition and even inford him about it. However, this ti, Xu Feng had already declared his intention to spectate his match.
There was no way he would miss the descending platform then.
While they remained skeptical and doubtful of the information, back at the exclusive lot, a certain vehicle was shaking heavily.
"Detecting the Young Master’s condition to be spiraling out of control. Protocol activated, contacting the ergency unit for further assistance." Vera’s voice resounded upon sensing the changes in Xu Feng’s body.
Just when Vera was about to connect with the ergency unit and drive toward a nearby hospital, Xu Feng’s voice halted her.
"Disable the protocol, Vera." Xu Feng exhaled deeply and said sowhat in a daze. "I’m just practicing so technique. My body and health are fine."
Having said that, Xu Feng closed his eyes and realized his Energy Force had increased by leaps. He felt a bit light-headed in the beginning due to the sharp change, but he was now starting to adapt to it.
