Chapter 986: Resonance Arena
"Advanced training fee?" Carn’s brows raised up. She thought she heard him wrong, so she asked again.
"Do you an that we both will begin the advanced training fee?"
"No, just you." Xu Feng shook his head and clarified. "The ti spent in the trial is quite long, and I still have to attend a specific competition."
"You’re joining so competition?"

They were inside the Missionary Hall where violence was absolutely forbidden. She highly doubted Xu Feng had such a trouble halo that would cause anyone to find trouble against him.
Just like that, Carn left Xu Feng alone and began walking around the city.
As she continued to walk, she overheard NPCs chatting about many different types of topics.
"Seems like there’s a new batch of people arriving in the cities."
"It’s usually around this ti that the Resonance City opens up to qualified people. Even we needed to pass the trials to co here."
"I’ll say... shouldn’t we start encouraging the newcors to enter the arena for so points betting. They’re definitely arrogant at the mont."

’Arena? Points betting?’ Carn mused inwardly when she stumbled across a few people chatting about an interesting topic.
Although the NPCs were higher level than her, an arena was a special place.
One could easily modify the arena rules to ensure absolute fairness and balance. And she was confident enough to defeat those on the sa level as her.
’Let’s see where this arena is.’ She opened her map and specified her searches. Soon, she located it and realized she wasn’t that far from it.
Ti quickly went by, and Carn arrived at the Resonance Arena.
"A newcor?" Upon seeing Carn entering, an employee approached her and said.
"Yes, I’d like to register." Carn nodded. She was very familiar with the arena’s procedure. In the blink of an eye, she was registered with the Resonance Arena. The registration fee was 100 points, which she paid without hesitation.
The points she paid would soon be returned in full after she played the pig to eat the tiger.
To avoid being recognized as an expert or familiar with the arena, she purposely acted timidly and glanced around. Her appearance and behavior quickly attracted a few NPCs who stared at her like so easy prey.
"Are you a newcor to the Resonance City?" One male NPC suddenly approached her and asked calmly.
Seeing him, Carn nodded sowhat awkwardly. "Ah, yes, I was told that I need to co here to beco recognized fully as a citizen of the city."
Sure enough, the male NPC’s smile widened upon hearing her words.
Another fat sheep, ready to be butchered!
This was his thinking, and the other people’s mindset as well. They weren’t interested in Carn’s appearance whatsoever. She was beautiful, but they had seen all kinds of beauty already. They weren’t going to lose their mind and go horny mode.
"I see..." the male NPC nodded and introduced himself. "I’m called Derek, and a veteran in the arena. I’ll be generous and explain the situation to you."
Having said that, Derek didn’t even bother to wait for a response and began explaining the rules of the arena for newcors.
Essentially, Carn needed to bet a minimum of 100 points to participate and make a na for herself.
To make a na for themselves was relatively easy. One simply needed to win at least 3 matches. Additionally, the more points one bet, the greater the respect one would gain.
"If you bet big and won big, then not only will you gain points. But you will also gain a lot of connections. Many people here would be more than happy to assist you to navigate and help you get a lot of discounts in many stores." Derek explained.
"Connection and discounts?" Dumbfounded, Carn was taken aback by this information.
"Mhmm, many newcors arrive with zero connections. They probably will spend all their points at exorbitant prices. But if you gain a high reputation in the arena, those exorbitant prices would be eliminated."
