Chapter 984: Resonance Guidebook

As the group dispersed and ultimately decided to explore on their own, elsewhere, two people were laughing sinisterly.

"Isn’t my plan fantastic, Guild Leader?" Carn snickered, her face donned in a mask.

"Indeed, it is." Xu Feng acknowledged her plan. In the underground market, there were nurous NPCs who hoped to conceal their identity. After all, an underground market tended to be more unlawful compared to the surface level.

Of course, that didn’t an it was lawless either. It was just that people could easily et their demise in such an environnt, but it cannot be done openly either.

Hence, to prevent themselves from being a target, most NPCs opted to wear a mask.

Where there was light, darkness would always be behind.

Even Resonance City would have its own darkness, where authorities purposely turn a blind eye to it. After all, such a market existed only because the higher-ups agreed to it. Otherwise, it would have been eradicated and cleansed out.

"Anyway, should we explore the underground market or head to the surface level?" Carn inquired. She didn’t appreciate the underground market much. It was too chaotic and hard to move around.

"We can head to the surface level."

Although there could be hidden gems in such an environnt, they would have been taken by the stronger NPCs anyway.

There was no need to risk their lives for so gambling elent. Instead, they could just head to the surface level and enjoy full protection.

With the points they have after combining, they could be said to be considered wealthy. If that were the case, then they might as well spend it where their items and lives were guaranteed.

Cases of NPCs robbing players were never sothing new in his past tiline.

Soti later, they erged to the surface level and removed their masks.

The first thing Nicholas warned them in the city was to never have a mask on. Having it on would provoke the guards into believing you’re an illegal immigrant or a criminal on the run.

"We have a total of 9,250 points. What should we prioritize?" Carn asked softly.

"Let’s search for so guidebooks of the city first." Xu Feng needed to understand the geography and market value of the Resonance City.

He had been to the city in the past tiline, but back then, it was already in the middle stages of the Divine World.

By then, most of the things in the city had changed, so he really didn’t have a clue about the current state.

Carn naturally agreed to whatever Xu Feng said. She simply nodded and followed along.

Soon, the two found a reputed shop and bought a guidebook. The guidebook was quite detailed and listed all the prominent ones.

Reading through them, Xu Feng eliminated blacksmiths and other things that were destined to be out of their league.

"I didn’t expect the Resonance City to offer so in-depth training." Carn furrowed her brows. Their town had a training hall, but she found it difficult to improve after receiving so lessons. It wasn’t that the training hall was ineffective, but the opponents she faced were far too low.

As for Brutus and Razor, the two NPC trainers were often busy with training other elite mbers of the guild. Therefore, she couldn’t spar with them frequently.

After all, those elite mbers were part of their reserve force, and their improvent only served to benefit the guild. She couldn’t possibly afford to be selfish and deny the guild from getting stronger as a whole.

"Seems like you’re interested in the in-depth training section." Xu Feng smiled and checked the pricing. Almost imdiately, his brain felt like it underwent an electrical short-circuit.

Honorary Resonance Training Hall

Basic Training Fee - 2,000 Resonance Points

Interdiate Training Fee - 4,500 Resonance Points

Advanced Training Fee - 9,500 Resonance Points

The outrageous pricing fee was too much. Their combined wealth only had 9,250 points, but the advanced training fee required a whopping 9,500 points.

Besides Xu Feng, even Carn was rendered speechless at the high cost.

"What kind of scam training hall is this?" She exclaid in a dumbfounded tone. Besides the pricing of the training fee, which listed basic, interdiate, and advanced, there was no more information.

In other words, they didn’t even know what kind of training would be offered to them if they were to pay for the service.

While Carn was ranting, Xu Feng didn’t hesitate to check for so utility items that could be used on a global scale.

Soon, his mouth was left agape as he ca to a sharp realization.

He was a poor bumpkin through and through.

’Damn this Elder Nicholas. What a great junior you’ve called .’ Xu Feng nearly wanted to curse the crap out of Nicholas for deceiving him.

The points he received appeared to be extravagant, given the comparison that CarnageBound received was only a asly 500 points. Yet it was only now that Xu Feng understood his points were still considered the bottom tier.

To prove his points, he had even checked the average price listing for the underground market.

In the end, after so calculations, it averaged around 2,670 points.

"I should have known it wouldn’t be this easy to gain a sharp advantage." Xu Feng lanted and realized that the ti he had spent on the trial might be wasted.

Carn held a complicated gaze. She was unsure of whether to speak her mind or not.

Thankfully, Xu Feng was perceptive enough to notice her abnormal behavior.

"What is it?" He asked softly.

"N-Nothing..." She shook her head hesitantly.

"Just say it. Why are you acting like we’re so strangers?"

"Fine, I want to say that we can both do the interdiate training. It costs 4,500 points, so multiply that by 2 and it’s 9,000 points. We can totally afford it."

"Yes, then what happened after our free 1-hour duration went by?"

Realizing her flaw, Carn covered her face with her hands. "Ah, forget about what I just said."

Amused, Xu Feng gently removed her hands and said, "You’ve just reminded

greatly. Why should we be in a rush to spend points? We should use the free 1-hour duration granted to us to gather more points."
