Chapter 965: Rush To The Exit

Xu Feng knew Floral Witch had pulled so sche, but it was a sche that he would have done if their position were to be swapped. Hence, he didn’t hate Floral Witch for doing such an action.

However, it still left quite a bitter taste in his mouth. No one would willingly beco a pawn to be used by others.

Maybe if it had been the “past him” who had no advanced knowledge and was still the stubborn idiot, then he might compromise to beco a pawn to ascend. But such a scenario would never happen.

Additionally, his instinct was really shouting at him to disregard the monsters scattered in the field and search for the exit. The instinct was trivial at first, but as ti continued to pass, it began to intensify.

This was the main reason why he rejected Floral Witch’s invitation.

In fact, he had even stated it sowhat explicitly in which their brain could comprehend. But it was evident that Floral Witch didn’t think that way and left to avoid souring the relationship.

Thus, Xu Feng claid their current relationship was complicated.

Were they enemies?

That would be no.

But were they allies?

That would also be a no.

So were they in a neutral state?

It would also be a no, because Xu Feng still had business ties with them.

Aside from selling raw materials sourced from the Arcane Vein to Floral Witch at a high market price, Xu Feng would also require her funds to continue to develop Haven Wind Town.

A town’s developnt was never cheap. If one wanted to continue to improve it, money was definitely a must.

Moreover, Xu Feng didn’t simply want Haven Wind Town to remain as a town. Instead, he wanted to promote it to beco a city.

After all, the Twilight Glades contained a huge secret that would be unveiled soon at the third major update.

The third major update wasn’t far off, and Xu Feng reckoned the second major update was coming up soon. The Colossuses have developed substantially, and it was about ti for the mainstream players to be involved.

Currently, most mainstream players are reaching level 40s and above. The data alone was enough to trigger the system to act soon.

After all, no matter how popular a ga was, without any updates, it would turn bland and boring. More importantly, the Divine World was not just a ga.

“Guild Leader, should we start finding the exit?” Carn asked. She found him to be in a daze and wondered if he was worried about the relationship with Floral Witch.

‘Should I try to ask Veronica to step in and help fix the ill relationship?’ She thought to herself.

“Ah, we should start looking for it.” Xu Feng snapped out of his daze. He remained unaware that his thought process about the Divine World’s progression was misunderstood by Carn.

Without knowing Carn’s thoughts, Xu Feng continued to explain his plan, “We’re going to avoid confronting the monsters. So even if we encounter one, let’s not attack them.”

“Okay,” Carn nodded swiftly. She didn’t even bother to question why they should act in such a way.

She had already completely trusted Xu Feng’s judgnt blindly, even though she occasionally teased him for being incorrect. And unless she was curious about a certain subject, she would usually refrain from asking any questions.

Naturally, the premise was that she had already educated herself quite a lot in the library thanks to Librarian Griselda. She was no longer the completely green player who joined the Divine World without any knowledge.

Soti later, the two began their search for the exit. Along the way, they stumbled across so teams who were confronting a monster in the field.

When those teams spotted their arrival, they were hostile and even threatened them to not think about stealing the monster’s last hit.

In response to their aggression, Xu Feng and Carn simply laughed it off and walked away.

They were too lazy to even converse with such teams.

As for whether they will trigger their anger or not, Xu Feng and Carn even dared them to try to attack them.

“Those people from the Super Guilds are really arrogant.” Carn scoffed coldly.

Indeed, those who were hostile to them were mainly the Super Guild’s people. Only the teams made by external force players were sowhat wary of them, but didn’t say anything when they noticed the two of them were just walking by.

“It’s just the sa common attitude and behavior.” Contrary to Carn’s disdainful comnt, Xu Feng was used to such types already.

Carn was a bit taken aback, but when she recalled her first experience with the Reaver Guild. She realized that almost every guild was the sa, albeit with a different na and status.

“Wait, isn’t our guild the sa then?” She suddenly exclaid aloud.

The Vanguard Guild didn’t act as a bully or a tyrant toward others, but if one had a deep analysis of their guild, then it was hard to say that they were completely innocent either.

By being an Overlord at Star Falls City, the Vanguard Guild basically controlled the market and livelihood of many who wanted to have a place in the city.

Although they didn’t explicitly bully those unrelated to the Vanguard Guild, it was obvious that many advantages could only be obtained if they were affiliated with the guild. Just this difference alone showed the preferential treatnt.

“More or less the sa, albeit not that tyrannical.” Xu Feng waved his hand around, seemingly trying to find balance in it. “One could never develop or improve their guild without stepping on others. This is an undeniable fact that everyone must admit.”

He had taught such knowledge to OneMandia in the past, who sought to beco an honest dia person. However, such ideology and objective were destined to be a dead end.

OneMandia also ca to his senses and slowly accepted the cold, hard truth. He ca to a consensus with it, but still vowed to uphold integrity to his best ability.

And now, Xu Feng deduced it was ti for Carn to learn such knowledge.
