Chapter 951: Posing
Carn never intended to reap anything in the trial. To be honest, she only wanted to join because she found her Guild Leader to be imnsely low.
She was afraid that sothing might happen to him even though she had confidence in his ability. However, being confident in him didn’t an she would be reassured.
Through her channel of information, she knew that the trial was taking place in the Northern Plane.
Just how many enemies had her Guild Leader made?
It was too many to count, but one thing was for certain. Her Guild Leader was destined to be targeted by many guilds in the Northern Plane.
What Xu Feng did was ultimately try to take a cut of a pie from soone else unrelated to him.
Who wouldn’t be furious?
This was also part of the reason why she didn’t seek revenge and hoped that her Guild Leader would take a step back as a form of apology.
Unfortunately, her desire was ultimately overshadowed because Xu Feng was overly protective. Ever since her demise at the hands of the Malefic Order Guild, Xu Feng had already condemned the guild to eternal damnation.
Her nurous attempts to change his mind were futile, so she ultimately decided to assist Xu Feng in the revenge. Either way, she was really furious at the Malefic Order Guild’s despicable ans.
“So just take the Resonance Shard, Guild Leader. I never cared for the reward.” Carn explained.
“Wait a second, so you wanted to join the trial because you thought I was going to be in danger?” Xu Feng raised his hand and asked in a sowhat dazed tone.
After all, he had always thought Carn wanted more adventure and thrills.
Why else would she catch wind of the trial information and then demand to be a part of it?
Carn didn’t bother to reply but her expression said it all. She had an aloof and almost nonchalant expression hanging on her face.
Why would she care for so trial reward if she had to deal with so politics between guilds and players?
If possible, Carn would rather continue monster grinding to level up and then wait for the guild to provide her with upgraded equipnt. There was no need for her to waste her ti in such a trial. She could easily improve with or without the trial reward.
At this mont, Xu Feng was completely at a loss of words. He was defeated thoroughly.
“Now are you going to accept it or leave my arm hanging?” Carn complained about being sore.
Seeing the situation, Xu Feng ultimately exhaled softly and accepted it. “Thanks, I’ll make sure to reimburse you with GMP when we return.”
“As you should!” She rolled her eyes and seriously wanted to give him a smack. He was really so calculative and stingy with everything.
Poor Xu Feng could only flash a bittersweet smile. Out of everyone he interacted with, he was truly helpless against Carn.
Naturally, part of the reason was because Xu Feng knew she was the future demoness who rained hell and nightmares on her enemies.
A terrifying demoness who could control everything was soone Xu Feng refused to go against. No matter what sches and tricks one might play, against the powerful demoness, it was all futile.
Only a foolish person would want to provoke her for no reason.
Xu Feng still cherished his life and second chance very dearly. Unless he was confident in sothing, he would never do sothing out of bounds.
“Alright, shall we start collecting so more Resonance Shard?” Carn stood up and suddenly suggested. “I’m sure there are other players who obtained so. We can just continue to pose as Malefic Order Guild and fra the cris to them.”
Since she had already planned on getting her revenge, then she might as well do it in a ruthless manner. The battle royale was the perfect opportunity to eliminate many people from Malefic Order Guild’s affiliations.
While she held such thoughts, she suddenly detected Xu Feng’s silence, almost as if he had been stunned by a spell.
“Guild Leader?” She waved her hand around his face a few tis. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’m alright.” Xu Feng snapped out of his daze and readily approved her suggestion. He was montarily dazed because he didn’t expect Carn to have such a mindset similar to his.
However, he should have anticipated her mindset because when he arrived here, Carn was posing as a Malefic Order Guild mber.
She had truly learned from him and beca very shrewd. Just so long as the shrewdness wasn’t used against him, Xu Feng would be grateful already.
“Alright, then let’s make a killing. Previously, I spotted a group of players hiding in this desert region, but I didn’t dare to go because they were a complete team with front and back cover.” Carn clasped her hands together.
“Hmm, are you certain they have Resonance Shard?” He inquired.
He wasn’t being cowardly, but he didn’t want to expend their strength and stamina just to eliminate a group of players for no reason.
After all, the players’ drop loot upon their death might not always be amazing. Moreover, eliminating them would cause the player count to drop.
If the player count happened to reach 50, then wouldn’t they have just beco tools for others to reap the rewards without doing anything?
He only eliminated players because they were his baits and cannon fodders toward the Swamp Alligator. But he would never eliminate players for charity and let others take advantage of his effort.
“Guild Leader, please. Do you think I wanted to target them for rewards?” Carn hissed coldly and pouted.
“I wanted to target them because I heard they are from Driftcore and they seed to be plotting sothing evil. I reckon that the Malefic Order Guild is trying to monopolize the trial’s rewards. So if we eliminate their hands and legs in advance, their goal would beco even harder to achieve.”
Honestly, Carn was not sure if that group had a Resonance Shard or not.
Hence, she used another reason to convince and persuade Xu Feng.
