Chapter 925: Battlefield
With Steelshot wanting to take the bullet and be the lead, Xu Feng had no objection.
Instead, he turned his attention to the three elite mbers. These three mbers have recently been promoted and signed a contract, so they were technically the reserve force of the Vanguard Guild.
“Steelshot is a Gunner, so who among you want to spar with him.” He questioned.
Almost imdiately, the three of them stepped forward. It was clear that they wanted to be the first.
After all, this was a chance to show the result of their training to their Guild Leader, as well as earn his approval.
Who would be foolish enough to let this chance go?
Moreover, they could tell Steelshot wasn’t a challenge to them. Having endured the hellish training schedule designed by the NPC Razor and Brutus, all of them had improved by leaps.
Naturally, that also ant they developed so arrogance deep within their emotions.
anwhile, Gentle Wind frowned slightly when she saw how those three reacted complacently and treated Steelshot like so easy opponent.
“Ahem, the Silver Wind Guild has joined our guild’s chamber of comrce. You must respect them with due etiquette.” Xu Feng cleared his throat and reminded them.
Alas, his reminder appeared even more arrogant in Gentle Wind’s eyes. In the end, she sent a ssage to Steelshot to not hold anything back.
When Steelshot received the ssage, his lips curled upward.
“Guild Leader Lin Feng, let’s not waste any ti and just choose randomly,” Steelshot exclaid and retrieved his shiny golden pistols.
Before Xu Feng could say anything, Garrett suddenly intervened.
“Guild Leader, I might not be a Gunner, but I am a Gun Knight. Please allow
to spar with Steelshot.”
Jacob was a Swordsman and Nash was a Sorcerer, so it was indeed a bit hard to determine the spar if two different classes spar.
After all, only those in the sa classes could truly demonstrate the difference in terms of skill and combat experience.
Since Garrett was the closest to Steelshot’s class, Xu Feng found it appropriate to send him up first. “Alright then, the two of you will spar.”
Jacob and Nash could only smile bitterly in response. There was nothing they could do about their classes.
Soti later, the group walked toward the empty battle stage where Xu Feng made so modifications.
“Both of you would have your level restricted to level 30 and default equipnt.” Xu Feng said but turned his gaze to Steelshot. “Unless you don’t want the default equipnt and use your own.”
Given that Steelshot was flexing his two shiny pistols, he decided to let him choose whether to use their own equipnt or the default one to keep things fair.
However, Garrett had another idea in mind. “Guild Leader, since Steelshot is a guest and new to the battle stage. Please allow him to use whatever equipnt he wants and I’ll just use the default. This way, it would be fair.”
Although Garrett sounded like he wanted to be fair, it was obvious to everyone that he was taunting and saying he could defeat Steelshot regardless of the equipnt disparity.
“Truly like Guild Leader, like mber.” Gentle Wind comnted, clearly a bit displeased.
“Insolence!” Xu Feng spat out and reprimanded Garrett’s behavior. “Did you forget what I just said before? Save the taunt and disdain toward our enemies.”
“I apologize, Guild Leader.” Garrett lowered his head and admitted his fault.
He then turned to Steelshot and said, “Sorry, Steelshot. I didn’t an any disrespect.”
anwhile, Xu Feng turned to Gentle Wind and apologized for their behavior. “Garrett and the other two had participated in the massacre against Vegan Life, the guild war against MIST, and the most recent Garak Forest. It’s hard for them to adapt quickly now that they have beco a reserve force.”
By ntioning these three events and their participants, Gentle Wind’s expression softened up a bit. She understood where Xu Feng was coming from.
It was the equivalent of a military soldier who had been deployed in an active war zone for years and then returning ho to a normal civilian life. It would be extrely difficult for them to change their temperant and behavior as their mind would be constantly reminded of the battlefield.
“There’s no need to be overly concerned, Guild Leader Lin Feng.” Gentle Wind shook her head and realized that she was being a bit petty earlier.
Although she didn’t know why, it felt as if his pettiness was so sort of virus that could infect anyone nearby.
She was never that petty, much less affected by so casual taunting that didn’t an harm.
She shook her head and realized that things in the real world must have affected her instead. ‘I was probably just trying to use Lin Feng to shift the bla.’
Soti later, Gentle Wind managed to compose herself and watched as Steelshot and Garrett entered the battle stage.
“Rember, there’s no need to hold anything back. The battle stage does not affect your cooldown skills whatsoever once you exit the stage.” Xu Feng reminded them.
This was the main reason why the arena was so attractive to players. Without needing to worry about their skills being put on cooldown, followed by items that could be set up by the stages themselves, players were unrestrained and unrestricted to go all out.
As Steelshot entered the battle stage alongside Garrett, the two soon found their scenery changed.
The battlefield was chosen by Steelshot beforehand so he readily made a move. It was a forest battlefield with many trees and large grass that concealed one’s presence.
Of course, on the outside battle stage, it just appeared that Steelshot was ducking in the open space and Garrett was trying to search for him. The scene was quite comical, to say the least.
“It’s hard to be imrsive when we can’t see much.” Gentle Wind twitched her brows and comnted.
Iceheart nodded in agreent. The excitent wasn’t there when all they saw was Steelshot hiding in the open and Garrett overlooking him constantly.
