Chapter 902: Red Alert Zone
The Slaughter Chainsaw barreled forward like a berserker tank, its chanical shriek reverberating across the chamber.
The floor cracked beneath its weight, and every rev of its saw arm sent shockwaves of dread straight to the spine.
“Cast the Void Field imdiately,” Xu Feng’s voice quickly snapped Carn out of her daze.
In the blink of an eye, Carn unleashed her Void Field but was soon t with a notification from the system prompt.
[Enemy’s attributes are too powerful. Effects of the Void Field have been halved.]
A frown appeared on Carn’s face after finished reading the prompt. This was the first ti she had received a prompt regarding her Void Field being sowhat ineffective.
But then again, it only made sense because she was never the type to court death and challenge monsters at a level above her by two digits.
“Guild Leader,” Carn called out and quickly relayed the news to him.
Since she was the caster, the prompt was only visible to her and not to Xu Feng.
Thus, she was required to inform him of the news. Otherwise, he would have been kept in the dark and might make a mistake due to the miscalculation.
Much to her surprise though, Xu Feng simply nodded his head.
He wasn’t surprised that the Void Field was being reduced in its effect on the Slaughter Chainsaw.
The Void Field was a domain type, and the stronger the user was toward its opponent, the greater the domain would beco. However, if the opponent was stronger than the user, then the domain would naturally not be able to affect the opponent much.
The concept was similar to a level 30 player fighting a level 1 monster versus a level 35 monster. The forr would naturally be extrely easy as opposed to the latter.
“I’ll do my best to debuff the Slaughter Chainsaw. Carn, you can just focus on outputting your damage.” Xu Feng commanded and began to wield his staff.
Such a boss-level monster required him to heavily debuff and weaken their defenses.
Carn didn’t bother to reply as she cast her Void Field and summoned the voidlings. At the sa ti, she was about to use her ultimate skill, only to be interrupted by Xu Feng.
“Don’t use them yet.” Xu Feng warned, having detected a powerful sensation coming from Carn. “The Slaughter Chainsaw’s resistance is too high, so using your ultimate skill now would be a complete waste. It wouldn’t even make a dent in it.”
“Okay.” Carn nodded and switched to other low cooldown damage skills.
Because she had never faced monsters that were above her level by two digits, she didn’t know how much effect the resistance would have on her skills.
Naturally, this still stemd from the very fact that the Divine World was considered Carn’s first ti in the VRMMORPG, so it was only understandable she would lack quite a lot of fundantal knowledge.
Sure, she had learned and improved a lot, but when faced with a new variable, she would beco a newbie again.
However, once inford, Carn was quick to adapt.
As she cast nurous spells toward the Slaughter Chainsaw, Carn’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The damages looked great on the surface, but considering that the Slaughter Chainsaw had 30 million HP, this kind of damage was negligible.
For those lazy people who can’t do the math, the average of these three damage-dealing numbers was 18,015.
Based on that number alone, when divided by 30 million HP, it would be approximately 1,665. That was just on the calculation that the Slaughter Chainsaw couldn’t recover its health or just stood still to beco a punching bag.
“Guild Leader, we’re going to be running out of ti at this rate,” Carn exclaid, her eyes staring at the Tir which was now down to 45 minutes. She wanted to do more damage, but couldn’t do so.
After all, Xu Feng had already warned her to not use her ultimate skills unless he signaled for it.
“No need to rush.” Xu Feng’s serene voice echoed to her. “The Slaughter Chainsaw is slow and being delayed by the voidlings. Sooner or later, its attributes would be reduced. We just need to keep up our montum.”
“Alright…”
Soti later, the Slaughter Chainsaw proceeded to make a sweeping cleave action. A 10-ter arc AoE slash was dealt toward the voidlings.
Xu Feng was alard by the attack move and tried his best to heal the voidlings, only to no avail.
“Damn, the attack has grievous wounds.” He clicked his tongue and watched the voidlings collapse. The grievous wound’s effect was reduced healing, causing his healing to be insufficient and unable to save the voidlings.
The Chainsaw of the Boss was laced with poison as well, making them die to the poison tick, similar to a bleeding status ailnt.
Just when Xu Feng didn’t think things could get any worse, the Slaughter Chainsaw suddenly extended its other hand.
Soon, Xu Feng felt a powerful suction force, pulling him toward the Slaughter Chainsaw.
‘Crap, it could do that?’ Astonished, Xu Feng didn’t expect the boss to have such a trick up its sleeve. Previously, all they did was run away, and not once did the Slaughter Chainsaw have such a moveset. It had always simply walked toward them once it detected their presence.
As Xu Feng was forcefully pulled closer, Carn noticed the situation. Alas, it was a little bit too late as the Slaughter Chainsaw snorted coldly.
WHOOSH!
In the blink of an eye, a Red Alert Zone was created from within the boss. It emitted a 15-ter radius field that applied Fear Pressure every 10 seconds, lowering movent speed and causing the chance of skill interruption to be as high as 10%.
“Guild Leader!” Carn cried out in alarm. She didn’t anticipate or expect Xu Feng, who was staying in the back, would suddenly be pulled near the lethal strike zone of the Slaughter Chainsaw.
Not to ntion her astonishnt, even Xu Feng was caught off-guard as he t with the Slaughter Chainsaw up close.
