??880: Fearless

880: Fearless

Ever since they had realized the key to solving the maze was to gather all 6 icons, Xu Feng used the Mana Resonance Talisman in each divergent path.

Unfortunately, not all paths lead to other portals.

So of the paths happened to have strong mana resonance.

It was either filled with monsters or just so items that could only be used in the maze.

Through many twists and turns, they managed to gather 5 out of the 6 icons with 8 hours left from the initial 40 hours.

Xu Feng swiftly retrieved so food from his inventory and shared it with Carn.

Carn accepted the food and asked, “Guild Leader, do you think the ti in the dungeon varied in the outside world?”

She didn’t an the real world, but the Divine World outside of the dungeon.

After all, this dungeon gave her a deja vu related to the Arcane Vein.

“It could be.” Xu Feng responded.

He was unsure of the possibility as well.

It was also a good thing that the ti didn’t collapse with the trial deal he made with Floral Witch.

Otherwise, that would be the most whoopsie mont ever.

The two then began eating their als to rejuvenate themselves, mainly because the experience of obtaining the 4 other icons was no less ridiculous than their first portal.

“What do you think will be the last obstacle?” Carn suddenly raised the question.

“Is it going to be another restriction of our class or another hide-and-seek while escaping?”

The hide-and-seek that Carn ntioned was equivalent to certain horror gas that required the players to stay absolutely quiet and hidden from the terrible monster.

That particular challenge was what stumped them most because Xu Feng was weak to horror.

Yes, it was him who always made mistakes and had Carn to carry him in that challenge.

Therefore, Xu Feng couldn’t help but smile bitterly when Carn subtly brought up that topic again.

“You’re doing this on purpose, right?” He narrowed his eyes.

“Hehe, you’ve caught

red-handed.” Without hesitation, Carn raised her hands up and stuck her tongue out.

She was truly enjoying that particular scene of Xu Feng screaming like a little girl and wrapping his arms around her to cover himself.

Had it been anyone else, then Carn might have suspected them of trying to take advantage of her.

However, if it was from Xu Feng, then she knew he was definitely frightened dearly.

Not once had he ever shown a lustful expression toward any beautiful woman.

And no, it wasn’t that he wasn’t interested in them.

But rather, he was more focused-orientated and refused to let himself be distracted.

“Let’s both keep the secret to our hearts, okay?” Xu Feng faked a cough and suggested.

“Soone did feel extrely down repeatedly and had nurous self-bla monts after all.” He continued, gently reminding Carn’s actions in their first obstacle.

Sure enough, Carn’s face turned pale when being reminded of her depressed mood-like behavior.

“Hmm, but if your incident was exposed, it would do more harm than mine,” Carn muttered, seemingly weighing the pros and cons.

In the end, she flashed a wicked grin as she stared at him.

“Go ahead and expose .

I’ll gladly endure it while explaining our Guild Leader’s weakness.”

“…”

For the first ti, Xu Feng seriously regretted his weak will.

How could he not resist and remain calm?

Why did he have to be afraid just because of the spooky-like environnt?

The maze they were in was also gloomy-like, but the atmosphere between this and that horror challenge was just overwhelmingly different.

Moreover, just what the hell was Carn’s ntality?

She appeared hesitant and even self-depreciated in the first challenge.

Yet when it ca to that horror challenge, she had taken on his role and was extrely decisive and fearless.

“There there, Guild Leader.” Carn suddenly wrapped her arm around his shoulder and smiled cheekily.

“I was just kidding.

Your secret is safe with .

No one else but

will know how you behave in the horror genre.”

Xu Feng clenched his fist tightly and felt extrely ashad of himself.

He was furious and wanted to slap his previous self to the next dinsion.

‘Damn it.

Those jump scares weren’t shit!’ He cursed silently.

He even wanted to redo that obstacle again, but then hesitated.

In the end, Xu Feng sulkingly consud his al and ignored the cheeky Carn for the ti being.

“Oh co on, my dearest and fearless Guild Leader.

You’re not really going to be petty toward your beloved Guild Commander, right?” Carn nudged his arm slightly and smiled.

“The food’s about to get cold.” He warned in response.

He was only slightly displeased, but he wasn’t petty enough to take revenge on Carn for this matter.

He was also certain that Carn was rely teasing him to lessen the tense and gloomy atmosphere.

After all, she wasn’t the type to gossip nor was she the type to reveal other people’s secrets.

Soti later, the two finished their al.

They got up and began their journey.

Thanks to earning 5 icons, most of the restrictions had been lifted slowly.

Thus, Carn was able to summon her creatures with ease to scout around the surroundings.

Although the sky limit remained in place, they were already grateful that they could use the summoned creatures to explore ahead of them.

Not only could they remain in their safe zone to pause the tir, but they could also save themselves from walking to a dead end and being forced to return.

The dust herbs that Xu Feng had scattered were almost used up, and he had no intention of wasting any more of them.

Half an hour later, Carn’s expression darkened as she discovered one particular summoned creature of hers had been running in a circle.

“Guild Leader, I’ve found sothing abnormal.” She quickly called out and began relaying the events to him.

After listening to the event, Xu Feng’s brows furrowed as he realized the abnormality.

“The summoned creature kept returning to the sa path huh.

Can you try to connect with your summoned creature to share the vision?”
