By now, the major event revolving around the Siege of the Colossus had co to a closing end.
However, that was just the start of the crisis for players.
Now that the players who lost their cities beca no different than refugees, those who managed to keep their cities intact beca even more fierce.
The re possibility of their progress being reset to zero had horrified them.
Thus, the grinding and player killings, especially those bounty tag players had increased exponentially in the neutral maps.
Veronica pursed her lips as she read the ssage sent by OneMandia.
OneMandia: The situation in the level 30 Garak Forest is chaotic.
More than 50% of the players had been killed and looted.
Our guild was also affected.
Having finished reading, Veronica’s frown deepened.
That was another compensation that must be paid out.
After all, the Garak Forest wasn’t just any neutral map.
It was a map that had a special NPC who offered missions and gave tokens in exchange.
These tokens could then be used for another NPC that offered a variety of items.
Items that could easily boost their strength and more.
The most popular of them was the qualification profession, which enabled a player to increase their desired profession’s experience.
As players began to level up and farm in high-level maps, they ca to notice the durability and other utilities lacking severely.
When they tried to recoup them through NPCs, they realized the charges had risen trendously.
It was then that players ca to notice that inflation also happened between NPCs.
Thanks to the Colossus overtaking many cities and the travel roads being extrely dangerous and unguarded, many raw materials had beco scarce.
That chain of reaction inevitably caused the NPCs to ultimately raise the prices for their services.
Such charges were still ndable to guilds and teams with hefty funds, but for those who were barely scraping by, it was impossible.
After the players racked their brains, so finally began to notice that it was better off to raise Profession Players themselves.
The raw materials were scarce, but it wasn’t impossible for the players to dig for them or gather them.
All they lacked was proficient Profession Players who could then use the raw materials to benefit them.
Hence, it ca to the situation where many sought Garak Forest as the fast solution to nurture their own Profession Players.
The Vanguard Guild was also no exception to this, granted they only had Crimson Heart as their valuable Profession Player.
“Damn it, these bunch of players are really not afraid of our retaliation.” Veronica clicked her tongue in frustration.
Although she had already sent the Neo and Hex Team to deal with the troublemakers, their manpower was limited.
The Neo Team consisted of VenomPulse, NightFallX, and CyberShade.
They were extrely efficient in player killing.
As for the Hex Team which consisted of Lightning Blade, Skyfire Mist, and FreeLancer, they were efficient in defending their fellow mbers.
The Neo Team was responsible for clearing the vicinity to ensure their guild had a better ti in farming, and the Hex Team was responsible for defending them if there were so rats who slipped past the Neo Team.
Both teams were equipped with the Forsaken Set and demonstrated to the best of their ability.
But even then, there were too many influxes of players swarming in and not caring about death.
To them, they were already wasted thanks to their achievent and progress being wiped out by losing their cities.
What more could they possibly lose?
Many guilds and adventure teams had already offered a high sum to purchase the so-called qualification profession items.
Besides the high sum, they even clamored that those who contributed the most would get to join their guild and receive the benefit of a mber imdiately, bypassing the Recruit and Junior mber rank.
Under such conditions, why would they be bothered about the Vanguard Guild’s retaliation?
The deterrence act that they perford held little to no value for them who had nothing to lose.
“Is this why they said manpower and funds are indispensable?” Veronica tapped her fingers repeatedly on the desk.
Having been granted quite a few privileges, she could check the guild fund and knew they couldn’t afford to do the sa as the other top guilds.
After all, those top guilds might lack in-ga currency, but they certainly do not lack real-world currency.
And to ordinary players, they valued real-world currency way more than in-ga currency.
“Ugh, competing with their wealth is just bleeding us dry.” She frowned and refused to use their guild’s fund to alleviate their dire situation.
They had just recruited a batch of Energy Force fighters in the real world.
Although they had yet to join because of their ti constraint in preparing to transition from their mindset of fighting to the Divine World, a large fund was definitely required for them.
Moreover, they were destined to beco a part of their elite teams, so Veronica couldn’t afford to neglect their growth.
‘Next ti when the Guild Leader asks
