Carn still held a glimr of hope that Xu Feng was just acting impulsively. After all, there was no information regarding the dungeon inside, so it was truly a risk to attempt it with just two people when they could have more.
Alas, her hope was thoroughly shattered when Xu Feng nodded with a solemn expression.
"The Divine World System is fair. If we join with the bare minimum, then adjustnt could be made." Xu Feng calmly explained.
He would rather gamble that so form of adjustnt would be made to be suitable for their player count. If it failed, then no harm was going to be done.
Either they get the loot or they don't get it.
He was not the type to be overly fixated that he must seek after all unique and above items for himself.
The Divine World was simply too big for one entity to completely monopolize them.
Not even the Super Guilds could behave like a monopolist and attempt to rule over the Divine World.
But naturally, there were so who had tried in the past tiline, only to be faced with nurous obstacles, followed by an apology statent as they retracted their decision.
It was beyond humiliation for them, but there was nothing they could have done. If they remained stubborn and refused to apologize, then they would have crumbled by the group of collective individual players from all areas.
Dominate one specific region and city?
Sure, that was possible and nobody would dare to go against you.
But trying to dominate everything?
Now that was where the lines were drawn and provoked everyone else to rise up to eradicate you.
Amidst Xu Feng's reminiscing of the past, he was snapped back to reality when Carn explained the abnormality.
"Guild Leader, there's no difficulty mode." She revealed with a skeptical and doubtful look.
"There's only the Testimony Of Will option and nothing else."
"That's normal."
Nodding, Xu Feng wasn't surprised that such a secret dungeon didn't have any categorization of a difficulty mode.
"Secret dungeons are called secret because they belong in a separate category. Think of it like how our classes are in the sa main branch but are split into a different branch of spells and mastery." He continued.
The two of them were both in the Mage Class branch, but Carn was branched into the Summoner Class whereas Xu Feng was branched into the Cleric Class. Although both shared the sa main branch, they ultimately operated in a different manner.
Having heard that kind of explanation, Carn ca to a realization and nodded.
"Alright, then I'll proceed to enter." She calmly said and pressed her finger on the "Yes" button.
As soon as it was pressed, a low hum resonated through the air. The ground beneath their feet pulsed with a faint glow as intricate runes lit up in succession, forming a perfect circle.
"Not again," Carn pursed her lips and held a bad premonition.
While Carn was thinking the transportation was going to be terrible, Xu Feng's eyes sharpened as the light beneath them intensified.
Soti later, they were consud by the light and the two vanished.
In the blink of an eye, the two erged in another environnt. They were free-falling from above and Carn clicked her tongue.
"Ugh, I know it's not going to be smooth." She furrowed her brows and attempted to cast Void Portal.
Unfortunately, a system warning prompt appeared, stating that usage of items and spells was temporarily disabled.
"W-We're dead…" She uttered, her eyes shifting to Xu Feng who seed rather relaxed.
"Harden your will and compose yourself, Carn." He suddenly advised her. "The dungeon is called Testimony Of Will, so it's ridiculous that they are trying to make us fall to our death."
After saying so, he tucked his arms close to his sides, and his legs straightened as he streamlined his descent. The wind howled past his ears, whipping his hair back as his eyes narrowed against the rushing force of air.
'Let's see if you really want to kill us.' He dared the dungeon to pull such a stunt. Similarly, he had received the system warning prompt, but unlike Carn who was caught off-guard by the unexpected mont. He read the whole thing and it stated that they were currently airborne, so their items and spells were temporarily disabled.
In other words, the mont he landed on the ground, his spells and items would be unlocked. By then, if he truly took fall damage and died, then he could easily self-resurrect himself.
This was why he chose to streamline his descent and wished to be the first to land on the ground.
As long as he died first, then he could still salvage the situation.
However, if Carn died first and then him, then it was really a ga-over mont.
As for his previous advice, it was honestly nonsensical.
Just because the dungeon's na was about that, he wouldn't dare to say it was connected to the content inside. Nas were more often or not, very deceiving.
Luckily though, the worst didn't co. Just as he was nearing the ground, he felt a sudden repellent force that nullified the impact, allowing him to safely land on the ground.
A few seconds later, Carn also appeared to be falling to her doom but ca to a sudden halt in a gentle manner. Her eyes widened in shock as she softly landed on the ground without any damage.
"That was… smooth," she muttered, feeling sowhat embarrassed by her previous behavior. To think that she was caught screaming and crying like a little girl caused her ears to turn red.
'He didn't see it clearly, right?' Carn wondered and shifted her gaze to him, only to realize he was already distracted by another event.
Following Xu Feng's gaze, she glanced up and noticed a large tir that showed 48:00:00.
"Is that a tir?" She raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Most likely." Xu Feng nodded, his eyes narrowed as a large system prompt appeared.
System Notification: You have entered the Testimony Of Will! You are granted 48 hours to escape the maze, and the tir will start once you leave the safe zone!
