The final statent of Xu Feng was ambiguous, but Jessica didn't seem to mind about it.
After all, it was only right that one would wish to be granted a favor in the future upon doing one for them.
If the situation were to be reversed, then Jessica would expect the next ti she requested a favor, then she would at least be heard.
"Very well, the contract is established with the new terms and clauses." Jessica clasped her hands, feeling like a heavy boulder was lifted away from her shoulder.
"How fast can you accommodate them?" She then inquired.
"Why don't you make a potential list first?" Xu Feng chuckled softly.
"A potential list?" Confused, she raised an eyebrow. It took her a few monts to comprehend his aning.
The potential list was rely an indication of which types of immigrants deserved to be accommodated first. Not all immigrants were efficient or capable of giving them a big return.
"Ah, you're really shrewd." She grinned coldly and comnted.
"Well, aren't you the sa for understanding my intention?" Xu Feng returned the gesture.
As the two were laughing sinisterly, Veronica who was standing in the background from the beginning was left rendered speechless by them.
'Even an NPC can be as shrewd as the Guild Leader. Truly, one should never underestimate the Divine World NPCs and mistake them as so database.' Veronica thought to herself. She felt goosebumps all over her arms.
Soti later, Jessica agreed that she would draft the potential list to be sent over as soon as possible.
She then left the Guild Residence while skipping her legs joyously.
Once Jessica's presence was no more, Veronica stepped forward and stared at Xu Feng with a judgntal look.
"What's with that stare?" Xu Feng asked confusingly.
"Those immigrants lost their cities, but you and Jessica are looking at them like so market items." Veronica furrowed her brows. "Sotis, I wonder if you look at us the sa."
"Well, that's obvious."
"Huh?"
"A guild is functional due to competent mbers. If a guild who sought to earn profit and rise in ranks simply recruit any Tom, Dick, and Harry. Then they're destined to fail." Xu Feng explained.
Although he does sympathize with the NPCs who are now labeled as immigrants, that doesn't an he could save them all. That was just the harsh reality.
Even if he agreed to accommodate them, there was limited space. The immigrants numbered in tens of thousands, and the current stream of people in Star Falls City was rely the beginning.
There were bound to be many more immigrants flocking in soon. The only reason why they hadn't appeared was due to the distance between the cities.
Now that the Colossus had taken over a big chunk of land from humans, the shift in dynamics and economics had already comnced.
A large-scale war between humans and Colossus was already brewing behind the scenes.
If the players did not want to fall behind, then now was the ti to grind even harder and improve their strength. Otherwise, they wouldn't even be qualified to participate in the next upcoming major event.
anwhile, Veronica pursed her lips in response. She knew what Xu Feng said made complete sense, and that was precisely why she was frustrated.
"The immigrants are NPCs but they all behave and act like humans in the real world. It's hard to differentiate the Divine World from reality." She muttered softly.
To be helpless in such a situation was truly sowhat taking a toll on one's ntal state.
But then again, this was probably factoring that Veronica never had to deal with such a drastic situation before.
She was a citizen of a first-graded city, so there was no way she would experience such things before.
However, Xu Feng was soone who had gone through worse things.
Therefore, his ntal state had long been hardened.
He does sympathize with them, but that doesn't an he was going to undermine his priority to help them.
"We've already done them a favor by granting them an opportunity by opening the town to them." Xu Feng calmly said.
"The revenue that we could have gained from players is definitely going to be more than NPCs." He continued.
NPC might have more wealth than players, but the truth remains that their wealth wouldn't be factored in many calculations as opposed to players' wealth.
What Xu Feng wanted to earn was not the infinite money from the nurous NPCs, but players whose pockets needed to be emptied out and go through his pocket.
If he didn't earn the players' pocket, then how were they supposed to one-up them and continue to widen the gap?
After all, he needed to drain the players' pockets dry to prevent them from improving fast. Otherwise, he wouldn't have done his best to construct nurous critical buildings that were vital for players' growth and charge them a hefty price.
"Anyway, that's enough about the issues. Jessica will provide us the list once we're done, so we should get prepared and move to the town." Xu Feng instructed.
Nodding, Veronica made so last-minute changes to her To-Do list and followed Xu Feng to their guild's town.
Haven Wind Town
Two beams of light flashed by in the Teleport Platform.
"The mana density here…" Veronica's eyes widened in surprise at the density being enhanced by at least twofold the mont she arrived at the town.
The last ti she was here, she felt the powerful mana density. But when compared to the current state, the previous one was a joke.
"Surprised?" Amused, Xu Feng expected the mana density to be at least this powerful. He didn't spend a big fortune for naught.
"The town is already 80% complete." He continued, feeling proud of himself for arriving at this step. Now was the ti when he could finally exclaim that he had surpassed the foundation step.
While he was feeling proud, Veronica was already left in a daze when she noticed the nurous NPCs arriving in and out of the town's entrance.
"How did the town beco this prosperous?" She furrowed her brows. The docunt stated that the town had yet to be opened to the public.
