Chapter 803: Interrogation
"You're not sick, are you?" Carn attempted to touch his hand to check his temperature, given that he was still wearing a mask. She couldn't touch his forehead to check, so her only other option was his hand.
However, she couldn't feel or asure much of the temperature.
She wasn't a doctor, so she couldn't be like them and state out so random temperature number.
"You actually allow others to get the chance?" She raised an eyebrow and asked suspiciously. It was hard for her to believe he would allow others to get ahead of him and not do anything about it.
Despite her constant questioning though, Xu Feng remained silent and began walking toward the city's prison.
'Legendary item? They probably die before even touching such an item.' Xu Feng found the players' enthusiasm to be quite cute sotis.
As he entered the city's prison, the atmosphere quickly turned gloomy and eerily. It was like soone had snapped their fingers and changed the setting in the blink of an eye.
"Why do I feel a bit cold?" Carn rubbed her shoulders. "Prison is really terrible whether it's in a ga or the real world."
"Well, obviously. Prison might be a room, but it's the worst type of room." Xu Feng chuckled and walked down the aisle.
Along the way, they t multiple guards, who bowed their heads slightly as a form of greeting.
"Wow, we're like so kind of big shot." Amused, Carn didn't know how to react in such a situation.
"You were literally their savior. Why wouldn't they respect you?" Xu Feng nearly facepald. The guards they had encountered along the way were precisely the sa people who were guarding the City Hall.
Toward their savior, they naturally would hold a respectful gaze and deanor.
However, it beca evident that Carn never bothered to check their faces and was only focused on herself and the enemy. Not that he had any complaint about it either.
It was good to focus on oneself and the enemy to prevent being distracted.
But one should also be wary of their surroundings—just in case of a backstab. A pri example would be the Silver Legion, who suffered the heaviest casualties for having zero awareness and alertness.
While having such a thought, sowhere, Night Coin suddenly sneezed loudly.
"Crap, are the Vegan Life mbers cursing at ?" Night Coin brushed his nose and sneered coldly.
"Hmph, want to curse at ? Let
hunt you down a few more tis." He then stepped forward and announced loudly.
"Silver Legion mbers listen up. Forget about monopolizing the contribution. Make sure to announce each and every one of these bastard's locations in the Ga Forum. We need all the manpower we can to fuck these backstabbing bastards up!"
"Yes, Guild Leader!" Silver Legion mbers replied thunderously. Their eyes flared up and filled with killing intent.
Amongst them, an Arcane Mage suddenly exclaid. "Haha, soone just posted a Guild Captain rank in the Vegan Life with a team being spotted at Red Moon Forest."
"Red Moon Forest?" Filled with fervor, Night Coin's eyes glinted. "Then let's surround the Red Moon Forest and let them be buried under the soil and beco fertilizer for the forest!"
…
Back at the City's Prison, Xu Feng and Carn arrived at the prison cell of KaleSalad.
"Is he logged off?" Carn asked curiously, having noticed KaleSalad was perfectly still. He was motionless and matched the style of those who logged out forcibly, leaving only their avatar shell behind.
"Nah, he's still present," Xu Feng shook his head. "However, I bet he wanted this to be a dream."
Despite his words, KaleSalad remained motionless, almost as if he could not hear Xu Feng.
The worst thing about being imprisoned by NPCs is that the duration of the imprisonnt only counts when you're online. If a player chose to log off, then the duration countdown would also be paused.
They only got access to the Ga Forum and that was their form of entertainnt. After all, the system didn't want to break the ntality of the players completely.
KaleSalad's eyes had been fixated at one particular angle, overlooking the Ga Forum that was filled with players talking about Vegan Life mbers' locations.
The hunting beca so huge that a counter of the killed and slain Vegan Life mbers' posts were made. It was updated every few minutes, with the counter being increased.
There were over 10,000 players in Vegan Life, and that wasn't even counting the players from the other branches other than Dawnshire City.
However, that wasn't even the most horrifying nightmare. Instead, it was that the matter had gotten to the ears of Green Life Corp, the owner of Vegan Life.
KaleSalad had logged off a bit when he was transported to the city, only to notice every news dia that focused on Divine World were talking about Vegan Life's action.
Green Life Corp's official company's doorstep was also being sward by nurous reporters, asking how they catered to vegan life and turned into traitors of humanity.
That was the most ironic backlash a company that focused on greenery and promoted healthiness could ever face. Thank goodness his rank was so low to be noticed by those higher-ups, but Jackson was not that lucky.
His rank was high and essentially the person in charge of the operation. So without a doubt, Jackson's career was over and ruined forever.
No sane company would ever wish to recruit soone like him who could cause their stock market to drop by 20% in a single task.
Hell, the 20% dip was barely just the start, and KaleSalad promptly chose to log back in and remain in the Divine World to escape from reality.
A few minutes went by, and KaleSalad still held a lifeless expression.
"He's not even responding to us." Carn pursed her lips and found it pointless to remain in this prison any further.
"He's not responding because he's busy contemplating how it ended up like this." Xu Feng chuckled and stared at KaleSalad. "I'll give you a chance, KaleSalad. In this interrogation, you expose everything you know about the Malefic Order Guild and how you were being suppressed by them."
