Chapter 781: Madn
After browsing through his inventory, Xu Feng retrieved 10 Tier 3 Offensive Scrolls.
These 10 were sothing that would cost at least 700 gold coins raw at the market price. If it were to be placed in an auction, then the value could easily soar to 1200 gold coins and more.
That was due to the scarcity of these scrolls which made it difficult to even obtain them again.
Of course, that was only for their current levels, but if players continued to level up. Then these scrolls would soon beco abundant and easily crafted.
While Xu Feng was ready to stack upon these offensive scrolls to penetrate a hole in the weak spot of the barrier, elsewhere, players in the Vanguard Guild beca frantic.
Red Forest City
At Red Forest City, the crisis was resolved and peace returned, but there were still so Vanguard Guild mbers who remained to oversee the situation.
They were precisely FreeLancer, Skyfire Mist, and Lightning Blade. The trio had arrived here for the guild's mission to earn more GMP.
As they patrolled the area, Lightning Blade's expression suddenly changed.
"Huh, what is this guild announcent? Red Alert?" Astonished, Lightning Blade hurriedly opened the announcent to read the full ssage.
The other two also did the sa as they read what was going on. After all, the one who posted it was Shadow Blade—their elusive Guild Commander.
—
Red Alert
All Vanguard Guild mbers are hereby ordered to drop whatever their mission was and to teleport to Winderre City.
Your goal is to rush over to Dawnshire City. Ensure to bring your 200% and kill those who dare to offend our guild. Guild Commander Lunar Wraith had been ambushed by the enemies from a different plane and was killed in battle.
GMP will be granted to those who contributed the most, and the accumulation of the earnings after calculation would then be quadrupled.
—
Despite the attractiveness of earning a ton of GMP, Lightning Blade, and the others were more focused on the second paragraph.
"Our Guild Commander was ambushed and killed?" Lightning Blade's eyes flared up when he read that part.
"I don't even care about the GMP, but the enemies must die." Skyfire Mist clenched his teeth tightly.
FreeLancer remained silent, but his expression alone was enough to tell that he was equally infuriated.
Not to ntion these three, even the others that were scattered across beca determined to make sure the enemies would never return to their plane alive.
…
Everglen City
"The two of you, stop what you're doing and get ready." VenomPulse, the Berserker and an elite mber of the Vanguard Guild said to his two companions.
Assassin NightFallX and Sorcerer CyberShade paused their killing of the monsters.
"What's the matter?" NightFallX asked.
"We're in the zone currently, so what are we getting ready for?" CyberShade inquired.
"The two of you should turn on the notification and check the guild's announcent." Knowing that these two had their notification off to prevent distraction, VenomPulse didn't bother to waste his saliva in explaining.
Sure enough, once the two went ahead and checked on the guild's announcent. Their expression turned cold and they soon exuded a powerful killing intent.
They were initially just regular mbers, but after their contribution to the war against MIST, they got promoted to Elite mbers. However, that promotion was rely a beginning.
Due to Lunar Wraith's recomndation, a team called Neo was created with VenomPulse taking the leadership. Neo consisted of three mbers including him.
Besides Neo, the other team was called Hex, which consisted of Lightning Blade's group. Their status literally soared within the guild because of Lunar Wraith.
And now that they had been enlightened that their very benefactor was ambushed and killed.
How could they remain still?
"Let's head to Winderre City now!" CyberShade shouted.
"No, we'll return to the guild residence first." NightFallX, however, had another mindset. "I'm going to use the GMP I earned so far and exchange it for so utility items."
As an Assassin class, he knew rushing in without much preparation was suicidal. Therefore, he wished to restock and gear up before slicing and dicing the enemies.
anwhile, VenomPulse, who was the leader of the Neo Team, agreed with NightFallX's suggestion. "Alright, we'll stock up and use all the GMPs. We can always earn GMP, but this debt of grudge cannot be delayed."
With that decision made, the Neo Team exited Everglen City.
Most of the Colossus had already been cleaned up thanks to the assistance of the debuff potions provided by the guild.
Therefore, one could spot the commotion within the Vanguard Guild.
Many returned to the guild residence and promptly made their way to the Teleport Platform. If anyone were blocking them, then they would receive a heavy thrash, followed by a threat of killing them and eliminating them.
Such aggression had never been seen from the Vanguard Guild. Despite their Overlord status, it was quite known that the Vanguard Guild never openly chose to be hostile to any players unless provoked first.
"What's going on with the Vanguard Guild?"
"They're all behaving like madn. I can just feel their killing intent from afar."
The unaware players were dumbfounded by the Vanguard Guild's behavior. So of them decided to take a few screenshots and post them in the Ga Forum.
It didn't take long before many players went to the Ga Forum and explained their side of the situation as well.
Players soon realized sothing drastic must have occurred for the Vanguard Guild to exude such a large killing intent. Speculations also began to appear with many wondering who provoked or offended the guild.
"Just who is it? Confess right now!"
"I swear if any one of you brainless people offends them at this ti. I'll fire you from the spot."
Many guilds, especially those who had a history with the Vanguard Guild beca wary and anxious by the situation. They all wondered if so of their ignorant subordinates had offended them completely.
After all, the current display was ten tis worse than the ti their guild had declared war on MIST.
