Chapter 720: Assembled

By the ti Xu Feng tried to call out to stop her recklessness when crafting, it was already too late.

Carn's hands were too fast and she had already started the process of combination with just 5 Pure Mana Extract— the complete half of what was required to obtain Crystalized Mana Shard.

'Ugh, it's all going to be wasted now.' Feeling heartache, Xu Feng wanted to cry but couldn't. He had the dignity of a Guild Leader that needed to be upheld. He couldn't possibly cry at the loss of so resources.

As the equipnt began shaking intensely, Xu Feng was positive that the material was consud and was lacking a few more.

Yet in the next second, a beautiful Crystalized Mana Shard erged from the equipnt, completely taking Xu Feng by surprise.

"Oh, it succeeded," Carn exclaid and grabbed the shard without hesitation.

"Wait, you need to wait for it to solidify…"

Once again, Xu Feng realized his warning could be dumped into the trash when Carn already held the shard and the system prompt stated that it was perfect.

Her crafting was that great— to the point of skipping the part of waiting for the shard to finish solidifying itself.

"Eh, what needs to be solidified, Guild Leader?" Carn suddenly paused, turned to him, and asked what he was trying to say earlier.

"Nothing. I just ant the weather has solidified itself to be very clear." Xu Feng ca up with a random excuse.

Although confused by the statent, Carn simply nodded. She placed the shard down and stood up. "Anyway, here's the shard you need."

"Hah, do you want to try other craft?" Xu Feng restrained his frustration from being so subpar and asked if she wanted to try more. After all, she was definitely a prodigy, one that required zero work and effort to succeed in life.

Unfortunately, Carn was bored and even complained. "Nah, I had to spend a few minutes watching the equipnt finish its combination and purification. It's so boring when compared to slaying monsters."

Hearing her complain about spending a few minutes caused Xu Feng to take critical emotional damage.

If he was an actor in a script right now, he would be puking out blood from the shock.

'You only needed a few minutes, but I took almost more than an hour and wasted so much material.' The pain he felt was too intense to be described.

"Well, since you're done with your crafting. Can I leave the town and explore the area?" Carn suddenly requested.

"..."

Only now did Xu Feng understand why Carn even bothered attempting the crafting process? She wanted to explore Twilight Glades but had no legitimate excuse to do so.

However, now that she went along with his suggestion, he was obligated to respond in kind.

"Just go, but remain cautious. The monsters are all around your level and they aren't easy to deal with." Xu Feng waved his hands dismissively.

And with that said, Carn quickly clasped her hands and cheered.

Afterward, she rushed ahead in enthusiasm to leave the town to find so tough monsters to fight.

Looking at her silhouette slowly disappearing, Xu Feng lowered his head in defeat. Luck was really an intangible and unfair thing to exist in this world.

Ti quickly passed by, and Crimson Heart finally stood up from her seat.

She exclaid, "Finally, I got this glyph done."

"Oh, congrats." Xu Feng praised from the side, his tone filled with a defeated sound.

Naturally, Crimson Heart was confused and wondered what happened to him.

A few seconds later, Crimson Heart's expression also turned sour after she learned of Carn's action.

"You've got to be kidding , right?" She clicked her tongue.

"Why did I work so hard under the lunatic Yaren?" She continued, clearly feeling extre frustration.

"Alright, we should just move along. Her luck is just built different." Xu Feng shook his head and shifted back to the main topic.

Nodding in agreent, the two proceeded to move toward the empty plot reserved for the Oppressive Pillar.

As they started assembling the components, the atmosphere also began to change.

"Okay, now we just need to use the blueprint to activate it." Crimson Heart clasped her hands and said.

Xu Feng remained silent and calmly stepped forward. He retrieved the blueprint and a system prompt soon appeared.

System: Do you wish to activate the Mini Oppressive Pillar? Current Usage: 2/3

Since one of them was used at Star Falls City, there were only 2 usages left.

Nevertheless, Xu Feng didn't regret his actions.

Without wasting one usage, Star Falls City itself would have been in peril and that would have damaged his guild's foundation.

He clicked accept on the button, and in the very next mont, the Mini Oppressive Pillar activated and lood over the town.

The town instantly felt the intensity of its presence and nearby areas in the outskirts also had a trendous pressure imposed. No monsters hidden in the wild dare to step too close to the proximity.

Simultaneously, Xu Feng, Crimson Heart, and even Carn received a system achievent notification.

System: Congratulations on constructing a Mini Oppressive Pillar! It's a milestone. You are rewarded with 100 million experience points, 10 gold coins, and 20% experience in the Engineer and Blacksmith Profession.

Glancing at the system prompt, Crimson Heart was rendered speechless.

"Did you know about this in advance?" She turned to him and asked. What she ant was that Carn sohow got the achievent as well despite not putting in any actual work.

"The achievent isn't bad, and sharing it is only beneficial." Xu Feng lightly said, not denying that he secretly used the Crystalized Mana Shard in the assembly of the product. By doing so, Carn essentially partook in the construction and was thus given credit.

"You speak as if you were hurt by her luck, but in the end. You just cared about her achievent and wanted her to be rewarded as well." Crimson Heart rolled her eyes.

She could never trust what Xu Feng does on the surface. There were always layers of sches beneath his every action.
