Chapter 705: Vantablack Side

While OneMandia was rather confused by Xu Feng's aning, the latter ignored him and simply called for Carn.

"Alright Lunar Wraith, that's enough. Retreat and give others a chance."

A second later, Carn clicked her tongue and damaged one more healer before retreating to Xu Feng's side.

"Didn't you say I can go all out?" She pouted and complained about his change of mind.

"I did, but why not give a chance to your subordinates. They need to combat similar levels of people for experience." Xu Feng pacified her, using his subordinates as shields.

Sure enough, it worked like a charm. Carn could only purse her lips in response and begrudgingly take a step back.

If she insisted on continuing, then it only demonstrated that she was selfish and greedy.

Without a doubt, being checkmated in such by her Guild Leader, naturally made her glare at him with an unfriendly look.

"Don't worry, once these people's levels drop below 20. You are free to test whatever combination of spells you want to." Xu Feng quickly whispered to her.

"You promised?" She held a coy look and asked sweetly, almost like a little kid who wanted so fluffy toy to take ho at an amusent park.

"Yes." Nodding, Xu Feng proceeded to command his subordinates and those who were recruited through the Adventure Association to advance.

"Do rember that your death won't be compensated. I have no intention of compensating for the death of losers." He warned loudly, reminding them not to go stupid and ignore their health points.

Only Carn rolled her eyes in response because she knew damn well that Xu Feng would secretly heal those who were low if the other healers failed to do so in ti.

'Why is he always so dishonest and nonchalant when he does care?' This question always baffled Carn's mind, but she never had the courage to ask about it. There was a boundary of the type of question she could inquire.

While Carn was baffled by his action, the rest of the Vanguard Guild mbers seed to have been on steroids.

They were extrely enthusiastic and frantic when rushing ahead to confront those from the MIST guild.

"Hmph, I don't know why you ordered your Summoner to retreat, but that will be your mistake." Tyler sneered coldly and quickly gathered up his people to form a rotational fight.

Without Xu Feng and Carn in the factor, the fight actually seed balanced at a glance.

However, it was a given that MIST's low number count was starting to take a toll.

They might have been easy to deal with those who had rely taken the quest from the Adventure Association but for the remaining 300 actual mbers of the Vanguard Guild. They didn't have an easy ti at all.

After all, Xu Feng was the biased type in a sense. He only provided his buff to his guild mbers whereas the others were left to fend for themselves.

They were already being paid for the quest and by that logic, they should also take care of themselves. Otherwise, what was the point of recruiting them when the condition was listed crystal clear that they won't receive any form of compensation if killed in battle.

"Tanks form a defensive line to defend all sides with my position as the center point. We must protect our healers and damage dealers. Assassins and swordsman class, find an opportunity to cut through MIST's formation!" The Berserker, VenomPulse, shouted loudly in command.

In response, the assassin NightFallX turned on stealth and hid himself from the battlefield whereas sorcerer CyberShade proceeded to launch aggressive spells in cover. It appeared that the three of them had worked together before and were able to follow through with VenomPulse's arrangent.

With VenomPulse subsequently taking the command, almost everyone decided to follow his arrangent and went to their respective positions based on their classes.

The only few who didn't were those confident in their abilities and people like Skyfire Mist, Lightning Blade, and FreeLancer. These three were experienced and knew where and when to take the advantage.

Thus, a strange scene occurred amidst the battle with a few skirmishes here and then in a split screen-like viewing.

"Guild Leader, I'm going to advance further to stream the battle better," OneMandia said and used his quick agility to dash ahead.

As the battlefield beca rather chaotic, smoke and dust also piled up, obscuring one's vision. Precisely because of this that prompted OneMandia to have no choice but to advance forward to get a clearer view.

"This wouldn't have happened if you just let

take over the battle," Carn said. She then summoned a big and large flying creature that ca from the void. It was of purple color with so blue lightning marks all around it and resembled the appearance of a Pyrite Drake— sothing that Xu Feng had destroyed in the past.

Afterward, she leaped on top of the creature and turned to Xu Feng.

"Are you going to jump and watch from above or stay on the ground?" She teased.

Clearly, her grudge still remained and was just like Xu Feng, who wouldn't miss any opportunity to pay back his opponent.

"I really regret showing you my dark side." Xu Feng shook his head, kicked the ground softly, and propelled himself to land at the flying creature.

"Dark side? Why are you underestimating yourself? You are clearly on the Vantablack side." Carn stuck her tongue out and said.

"Vantablack…" Speechless, Xu Feng found himself unable to deal with her.

To those unaware, Vantablack is a synthetic material that absorbs nearly 100% of the light that hits it, which makes it the darkest man-made substance in the world. Vantablack is not a color but from Carn's aning of speech, she ant that he was on a side darker than the term "dark".

Either way, it was not a good remark and goes to show just how far Carn would retaliate.

'She really got no rcy even for her guild leader.' Xu Feng sighed and blad it on MIST for causing him more headaches than necessary. 'As expected, if I don't eradicate these bunch, I won't feel good.'
