Shortly after driving Zhao Kai back to his ho, Xu Feng returned to the Apex Tower.
As he entered the condo, he noticed Erica had yet to return. In fact, it had been a few days since he t with Erica.

Initially, Xu Feng didn't plan on involving himself in such muddy water, but when he recalled how he got screwed over by them. He would be damned if he didn't do anything and allow them to escape safe and sound.

Within the information were "potential" spies in the city, but the truth was, Xu Feng was quite sure they were the most likely suspect to be protecting the perpetrators.

'I suppose it's ti to flex so muscle.' Xu Feng grinned coldly. Within the ssage from Carn was a compiled list of active guilds participating in the siege.
Since these guilds clearly valued profit over their life and foundation, then Xu Feng shall gladly comply with them.

anwhile, on the other side of the call, Carn was rendered speechless by Xu Feng's mysterious boss's command.
'Why would the mysterious boss assign the Guild Leader to do sothing like that now?' She was frustrated. Who didn't know the current Star Falls City was in a predicant?
Yet this supposedly mysterious boss remained nonchalant and continued to no show. As if that wasn't enough, they even sent away their leader who could possibly resolve the crisis.
At this mont, the impression Carn had of their supposed big boss had dropped to the negative.
"Guild Leader, can I speak with your boss?" Carn's eyes turned fierce and she requested to have an audience. She wasn't mad at Xu Feng, but rather at soone else who clearly didn't seem to understand the situation.
As for Xu Feng, when he felt her glare, he nearly shuddered in response.
Without a doubt, whenever Carn got furious, it was like he had witnessed the Demoness appearing.
Thankfully, Xu Feng had years of experience and dealt with many things. Thus, he managed to remain calm on the surface.

He faked a cough and said awkwardly, "I don't think you need to ask
for an audience with him. The boss told
that he will make an appearance today and I told him that he could trust you when he arrives."
Startled, Carn nearly lost her balance for a second.
"W-Wait a minute. Your mysterious boss is going to show up?" Carn took a deep breath, seemingly trying to calm down.
"Mhmm, he should be arriving soon. Oh, the code word for the greeting would be, Healers are the ones who knock!" Xu Feng explained.
"Healers are the ones who knock?" Carn repeated the phrase in a low but subtle tone. For so reason, she felt a sense of danger and mystery despite it being re words.
"Alright, you should wait for him at the Teleportation Platform. The boss told
he will be donned in a mask and dressed in full black." Xu Feng exclaid and ended the video call, not giving her ti to ponder over the situation.
Though the truth was that he now needed to rush back to the city after activating his Mirage Pendant. Nothing could be more exhausting than playing multiple characters without any tools.
As he donned the mask that was handcrafted by Fiona, Xu Feng exuded an otherworldly aura.
"Ti for these people to witness the might of Eclipse Nova." He murmured and activated a Return Scroll.
