When Xu Feng ntioned that she would regret her decision, Janet rely paused for a second before grinning coldly.
She didn’t even bother to respond and exited through the chanism door.
Following her exit, the guards along with Wendy, also left the room. They didn’t even care about telling them to leave the room. After all, with the negotiation clearly broken down, it was aningless for them to remain here.
Once the chanism door fully closed and camouflaged itself well with the decoration, Zhao Kai was the first to scratch his head.
"Ugh, what was that, Feng?" Zhao Kai turned to him and asked with a disbelief expression. "Was that even a negotiation? It sounded more like a threat or arrogance."
In a negotiation, the party who wanted to close the deal should have provided reasons to the other party about why they needed to accept the deal. Yet not only did Xu Feng fail to do any of that, he even went above and beyond by withholding every reason.
The worst part was that Xu Feng even subtly threatened Janet would regret her decision by not closing the deal.
It was the sa thing as going to a big company with nothing in hand and telling them that they needed to accept you, or they would go bankrupt.
As if any sensible and logical person would ever pay attention to such a lunatic!
"Kai, did you think I was being a lunatic through that negotiation as well?" Xu Feng mused.
"What did you think?" Zhao Kai rolled his eyes in response.
He even sighed and leaned back on the chair. "I even went and played the role of a perverted and hooligan man to land an advance eting. But you’re good. You just had to blow it away."
"Did I really blow it?" Amused, Xu Feng shook his head and grabbed a cup filled with alcohol.
He took a few sips and chuckled. "My goal has already been achieved though."

At this mont, Zhao Kai wondered if Xu Feng’s head had been hit before.
What kind of ridiculous goal was it to waste their ti in the eting?
"We’re probably going to be blacklisted soon." Zhao Kai pursed his lips and turned his attention to the windows that showed the people dancing around.
Truth be told, there were indeed many beautiful won who were quite his type. However, they seed to be getting further and further away from him.
Was he destined to be single his entire life?
A negotiation being broken down wasn’t any big deal, but the last statent made by Xu Feng definitely offended Janet.
"Probably, but they will regret it today." Xu Feng patted Zhao Kai’s shoulder and suggested they head down to have so last-minute fun.
Zhao Kai was clearly annoyed by the outco, but he no longer bothered to complain or rant at him.
What was done was done already. There was no point in crying over spilled milk. Thus, he might as well spend his limited ti flirting with a few lovely won to enjoy before getting booted out.
Just like that, Zhao Kai rushed ahead, not even waiting for Xu Feng, who walked at his usual pace.
As Xu Feng glanced at Zhao Kai’s frantic action to et up with the previous won who handed him their business cards, he adjusted his glasses.
’Kai, you don’t know it now, but to be valued heavily is when one is down and shows a miracle. Janet’s decision today would be a great lesson to you on not looking down at others even if it appears they’re on their last lifeline.’ He thought to himself.
Sooner or later, Zhao Kai was going to start managing the businesses of the Vanguard Guild. By then, he needed to have this experience to hone his skill in judging people.
His intention was definitely to get the sponsor from Janet, but not from the perspective that they were the desperate ones.
If a person was desperate for an item, then whoever possessed that item would technically beco the owner of it. The desperate person could only crawl and roll like a dog whenever commanded by the owner.
If one had to beco a dog to obtain that sponsor from Janet, then he would discard that sponsor in a heartbeat.
The negotiation and eting today were ant to let Janet know who they are and what they are capable of.
After all, with his last provocation made, there was no way Janet would sit still and ignore them.
’Just watch how you’re going to be the dog instead, Janet.’ Xu Feng can’t wait for that day to occur.
Soti later, Xu Feng made his way back to the table, only to end up being interrupted by an employee.
"Apologies Sir, but there’s a new guest here and I was hoping you could give up this table since we’re full at the mont." The employee sounded apologetic and held an amiable face, but Xu Feng knew the true aning.
Since the High Table Club just opened, they can’t blatantly kick him and Zhao Kai out. That would be the equivalent of disrespecting the people behind Zhao Kai.
Hence, to do it in a roundabout action, they wanted to take away their table.
Without a table, could they still remain here when no one would be serving them anything?
However, the employee miscalculated one thing— one that even caused Xu Feng to be surprised briefly.
"Huh, I didn’t expect you to be here." A voice ca from behind, startling Xu Feng.
"Eh, you are..." Xu Feng furrowed his brows, finding the person very familiar yet can’t recall on the spot.
After all, he had been dealing with too many things to rember every person he interacted with. This was especially so when the Origin Trial affected him the most, having made him imrsed very hard in the Interstellar Era.
"Do you know this person, Jingyi?" Another voice, sowhat rough, ca from behind as they looked tall and muscular.
"Ah yes, he’s supposed to be an acquaintance but it appears that he already forgot about . He’s one ungrateful person."
