Spatial rift crack was a terminology for an unexpected portal that could be linked to soplace else. One could say that it was the unauthorized and unsupervised version of a Teleport Platform.
However, the big difference between the two was that the Teleport Platform was constructed by experienced people whereas spatial rift crack was a natural occurrence.
To put the cherry on the topping, the coordinates where one would end up after stepping foot in it could be changed.
In other words, if lvin had co to Willowbrook Village through Point A, and tried to step back to the spatial rift crack, he could wind up in Point D, E, F, etc.
"Ah, so it was you." Now that lvin had a clearer look at Xu Feng, he realized his identity. "So you didn’t fall for Otis’ trick but rather used it against
to trace
back here."
"I’m afraid you’re mistaken." Amused, Xu Feng shook his head.
"My intention was never to trace you back here." He added, finding it humorous that villains like lvin always tend to think they were big brains.
He already got the best sniffer anyone could have asked for: Flint.
So long as he had Flint tracked the sll emitted by Otis, he would find their hideout sooner or later. However, that wasn’t his main objective. A spatial rift crack sounded impressive and mysterious on the surface. But the truth was that such a rift crack only led to traps and more unfortunate events.
Of course, that was his perspective and so might disagree with him, but so what?
"I see…" lvin suddenly nodded his head and smiled bitterly. "So you’ve caught . I surrender."
He then raised his hands up and dropped his weapon, clearly displaying the attitude of soone who had given up.
However, just when Xu Feng looked away and focused on the spatial rift crack, lvin’s eyes narrowed as he quickly cast a barrage of spells.
"Hah, you thought I was so Swordsman?" lvin laughed wickedly. His expertise was never in close combat, but in magic. The sword he used was rely a decoy and a distraction to catch his opponent off-guard.
Earlier, he had already tried to look at the place Xu Feng had co from and detected no one. Additionally, he also increased his perception to the maximum, having realized the enemies could be wearing a Stealth Cloak.
And to his surprise, Xu Feng was truly alone, which ant that so long as he killed Xu Feng here, no one would be able to discover his presence.
Alas, his happiness wasn’t for long when he realized Xu Feng was completely unhard. Continue your journey with .C??m
"Oh, my bad, were you trying to launch a sneak attack?" Xu Feng chuckled. "Or did you think that I ca here alone without any confidence?"
Unamused, lvin knew his sneak attack failed, but that didn’t an he would lose this fight. Without hesitation, lvin continued his onslaught, trying his best to eliminate Xu Feng.
It was just a pity for lvin though. Flint, who had been waiting on the underground, finally received the signal from Xu Feng.
Flint quickly erged from the ground, astonishing lvin in the process, and like the speed of light, lvin was detained on the spot, unable to move.
"Who are you and why are you targeting ?" lvin refused to believe the Willowbrook Village would suddenly luck out and brought in a strong helper.
He had done a thorough analysis of the people in the village and Xu Feng was never part of his radar.
anwhile, Xu Feng had no intention of answering lvin’s question.
"If you want to bla anyone for your demise, then bla it on yourself for being too greedy." Xu Feng coolly said and unleashed Nether Blast.
Dumbfounded, lvin could only watch the attack blast through him, his eyes still carried a hint of reluctance and regret.
As lvin closed his eyes, his body no longer lifeless, Xu Feng beca amused.
"Wow, those who didn’t know would really fall for it." He laughed, finding lvin’s behavior hilarious. Others might easily be misdirected that the job was done, but Xu Feng knew lvin was still alive.
Soul Possession— a Demon skill, which could allow the person to split their soul into another entity or individual and possess them.
Of course, such a skill resulted in a heavy backlash, given that they would beco very weak during the possession phase. Additionally, they could only put their soul one at a ti, aning once caught again, lvin would die once and for all.
"Flint, can you still sniff him out?" Xu Feng questioned.
Flint began sniffing with his nose before chirping happily. He flew upward and began breathing out toward the direction of the village.
Nodding, Xu Feng realized why this insurgent mission was still ongoing to this day.
’A Demon skill was involved… how complicated.’ He adjusted his glasses and realized the Demon Race had already begun their infiltration. Although it wasn’t that extre, it was still quite earlier than usual.
He wasn’t worried about the Demon Race, given that there were many more Races around the Divine World. And despite the ominous na for the race and the typical stereotype that Demons were evil, it wasn’t that type.
Demon Race was only one of the many Races who ca to the Divine World to get a foothold.
Just when Xu Feng was deep in thought, Flint suddenly tugged on his arm sleeves with his mouth.
Confused, Xu Feng turned to him. "What is it, Flint?"
Flint didn’t respond, but went directly at the spatial rift crack and breathed fire.
"Wait—" Xu Feng tried to call out to stop his action, but paused himself when he witnessed the next scene.
The spatial rift crack shattered into nurous pieces and a shard was left behind.
’A shard?’ Dumbfounded, Xu Feng carefully approached the shard. His eyes widened when he discovered the shard was actually a fragnt of an ancient relic.
"I was wrong…" He murmured, picking up the shard.
