After Xu Feng made the announcent, both Clara and Lightning Blade imdiately voiced their objection to the matter.

"I don't wish to advance ahead, Sir." Clara shook her head and flashed a resolute expression. It was clear that she didn't co all the way out to the wilderness for the Vanquishing of remnants Hideout.

"I don't even know what to search for, so I can't advance ahead either." Lightning Blade chid in, giving his excuse. But the truth was that he didn't want to advance ahead and lose his chance to redeem himself.

How could there be redemption if Xu Feng can't even see what he was doing?

Unfazed by their objections, Xu Feng glared intensely at Lightning Blade, causing the latter to shudder and lower his head.

Afterward, he shifted his gaze to Clara— this ti in a friendly manner.

"Clara, it's because I trust you that I wanted you to advance ahead with Blade. He's not perceptive enough but you are. Don't you want to eradicate the remnants of the insurgent as soon as possible?" He asked softly.

"But why must you stay behind?" Clara pursed her lips. "Isn't it more efficient to work together?"

"We can also work efficiently by separating the task. These insurgents have beco tricky ever since we caught them once, so they have split off the trails."

"Then why not us two team up and those two can team up?"

"I wanted to as well, but Eversoul is a Cleric like . With

teaming up with her, I can assist her better." Xu Feng consoled her and lightly patted her shoulder.

"I've assigned you with Blade because I know you are no longer the weak girl from back then. You are now a capable Tier 2 Mage, and the faster we find their Hideout, the quicker we can rescue the victims."

Hearing the word, victims, Clara's expression underwent so changes. mories of her being captivated alongside many flashed through her mind.

With her fist clenched, Clara nodded. "I understand, I will head to Willow Woods with Blade to search for clues."

"Good, if you find anything, just have Blade contact . Also, you don't have to be polite with

and treat Blade as you want. If he doesn't listen to you, feel free to kill him. He's immortal anyway."

"I will gladly comply with the request."

As their conversation went on, Lightning Blade realized his situation might go from bad to worse. After all, he had gotten a gist of who Clara was from browsing through the Ga Forum.

'I swear I will strangle that Thunder Sword when I log out.' He vowed silently once again for that damnable cousin of his who ruined his peaceful life.

While he was silently vowing, Clara's fierce and cold gaze consud him.

"Let's go, Blade. If you dare to delay or make a mistake, then don't bla

for not showing rcy." She declared solemnly.

Lightning Blade swallowed a mouthful of saliva before timidly nodded his head. "I will do my best."

"No, you won't. You are going to do your best, not will." Clara corrected and began walking to the right side path leading to Willow Woods.

Not daring to be slow, Lightning Blade quickly bid farewell to Xu Feng before following Clara, afraid of angering her.

Shortly after the two of them left, Allison pointed at the bound monsters who seed to be breaking out of their shackles soon.

"Eh, what about the monsters?" She asked, taking a few steps back.

Previously, she wasn't that afraid because she got Lightning Blade taking the aggro and a domineering NPC like Clara.

However, now there were just two Cleric left and she was a level 1. She had barely just created her character and was trying to understand the chanics so where did she have the ti to level up?

"Wow, can you be any more discriminating?" Watching her action, Xu Feng was baffled.

Realization quickly dawned upon Allison as she never forgot that he might be a Cleric, but he was a high level player.

"Right, you're at a high level since you can enter the city. So you can totally deal with them." She clasped her hands and sighed in relief.

Death was not the end since they would respawn in a nearby town, but who the hell wants to die from their first fight?

"Am I your bodyguard or sothing?" Contrary to her disbelief, Xu Feng imposed a cold deanor and shouted. "The monster is about to be unbound, so get moving and start fighting them. I won't assist you."

"What?" Startled by the sudden cold tone, Allison nearly thought he got possessed.

Much to her surprise though, within that short second she was startled, Xu Feng was no longer present in the scene.

"Wait, where did you go?" Allison beca alard, her eyes wandering everywhere, hoping to search for him. Unfortunately, she didn't even get much ti to look when the monsters finally beca unbound.

And the very first thing they did was locked eyes on Allison, who was not only weak, but also a Cleric.

"Haha, we can have a seat and talk things out, right?" She chuckled nervously and said sweetly.

GROWL!

What she got in response was an intense growling, followed by the swarming of the low hp monsters.

Since the dangerous people from earlier had all disappeared, these monsters' predator instinct kicked in effectively. Without hesitation, they started pouncing and advancing toward Allison at a quick speed.

"Ugh, to hell with it!" Knowing that it was either a do or die situation, Allison no longer cared and began wielding her staff.

One after another, the Sacred Fire launched in all sorts of directions.

The advancing monsters quickly halted and gazed at the Sacred Fire coming their way. Although most of them whiffed, so of the Sacred Fire was close enough to glaze the monsters, effectively killing them.

Therefore, despite Allison simply firing her Sacred Fire wantonly and randomly, the monsters were afraid of actually approaching too close to her.

The closer they approached the source of the firing, the higher the chance they would be hit and killed in one shot.

"Don't you dare co close to !" Allison shouted, her eyes shut tightly.
