Xu Feng knew that sooner or later, people would learn of the existence of Flint anyway.

So rather than concealing it any further, Xu Feng decided to co clean and indulge in Flint's desire to fight alongside his teammates.

On one hand, Flint could gain more fighting experience, and on the other hand, Xu Feng could lessen the load on his command and attention of the battle.

"You can go ahead and assist Lunar Wraith over there." Xu Feng pointed at Carn and explained, "She's one of my trusted comrades, so you must listen to her if I'm not available."

Chirping in a systematic manner, it appeared as if Flint was trying to explain to him that he had understood his intention and would oblige by it.

"Good, now go. I'll remain here for a while to recover my mana." Xu Feng instructed and sent Flint away. As Flint received the instruction and flew toward Carn, Xu Feng also wasted no ti in sending her a simple ssage, explaining to her that Flint was his pet.

Along with the ssage were a few of Flint's skill sets that she could pay attention to and how to deploy Flint in the battle to assist her effectively.

What Xu Feng wanted in this arrangent was not only to test Flint's compatibility with the team but also a test revolving around Carn's leadership.

Ever since he noticed that problem had started to arise when he went to rescue Iceheart alone, believing the rest could manage without his temporary assistance, he realized that he was wrong.

These elites weren't really elite, but rather a bunch of noobs believing they were experts after one achievent or so.

'I better start training Kai and Carn in leadership, especially the awareness of the terrain and map.' Xu Feng furrowed his brows, constructing nurous training plans in his mind.

The most important aspect that separated normal guilds from elite guilds was the managent level and capable commanders.

A normal guild might at best have 2 or 3 capable commanders, but an elite guild would have numbers doubled that— sotis even tripled if they were an extrely large-scale guild.

While Xu Feng took a backseat this ti to rest, Carn, who had been focused on the battle, received a ssage notification.

"Huh? Didn't I block off all ssages temporarily?" Dumbfounded, Carn was positive that she turned them all off to prevent herself from getting distracted in the raid. There was only one person that she hadn't blocked off, but then confusion arose from her.

Quickly opening her ssage, Carn was startled to see that it was really Xu Feng who sent her a ssage.

'Did sothing big happen?' Amidst her daze, she soon spotted a flying creature rushing toward her.

Alard and vigilant, Carn was about to launch an offensive spell at the flying creature, believing it to be an enemy.

However, the flying creature quickly ca to a pause soon after and chirped rrily at her.

But what made Carn pause was the fact that this flying creature resembled the Earthrender that she had encountered during the Abyssal Rift exploration.

"E-Earthrender?" She uttered in a disbelief tone.

Simultaneously, her eyes made a side glance at the ssage prompt and it described who the flying creature was. In front of her was the offspring of the Earthrender, nad Mini Earthrender, but Xu Feng had given it the nickna of Flint.

"You're Flint?" Turning her attention back to the flying creature, Carn inquired softly.

"Chirp Chirp!" Flint chirped and nodded its small head repeatedly.

"Hah, the Guild Leader sure knows how to give one a fright." Carn twitched her mouth and sighed softly. She had thought nothing else could surprise her from Xu Feng's conduct, but it appeared that she was wrong once again.

The surprise that her guild leader could bring was just unbelievable.

"Chirp?" Flint tilted their head, seemingly confused by the situation.

"Ah right, you're here to assist ." Carn snapped out of her dazed and smiled sweetly at Flint. As she tried to extend her hand to rub its small head, she suddenly paused, wondering if she could do so.

Though she didn't need to worry much, given that Flint happily flew a bit forward and rubbed his head against her palm. Since Xu Feng had heavily emphasized that she was a trusted comrade, Flint gladly enjoyed a head rub.

Pleased by the action, Carn stopped the mini conversation as her face turned solemn.

"Flint, the Warden on the left, is causing so problems by constantly advancing a bit. Shadow Blade is struggling to keep it detained in a fixed position, so go help him out." Carn exclaid and pointed at Zhao Kai, who was forced to retrieve his shield to hinder the Warden's movent.

Chirping in response, Flint's docile eyes turned fierce. He shifted his gaze to check at the person Carn was ntioning. Soon, he spotted an enemy similar to the one that had been bombarding his owner earlier.

With a fierce chirp, Flint's normally gentle deanor shifted into sothing far more nacing. His docile eyes blazed with anger.

Without hesitation, Flint dashed through the battlefield, his powerful wings beating furiously, kicking up dust and making it hard to track his swift motion as he honed in on the enemy threatening Zhao Kai.

The sudden burst of extre speed from Flint caught Carn completely off guard, her eyes widening in surprise.

For a mont, she had to blink to make sure she wasn't imagining things.

"Just how did the Guild Leader obtain Flint as his pet?" Carn murmured, her mouth left agape by the scene.

Flint, who had always been swift, was now moving at a velocity that nearly left a blur in his wake, the intensity of his motion almost too fast for her to track.

While Carn scrutinized Flint's flight speed, the latter had already arrived in front of the Warden, startling Zhao Kai.

"Huh? A pincer attack now?" Zhao Kai exclaid in shock, having mistaken Flint for another enemy. His face frowned and he wondered if his teammates were slacking off.

At least give him a damn warning of an incoming enemy!
