DeathLingers was dazed on the spot, his eyes fixated on the contract term.
It was no different than admitting defeat in a war and that they had to repay the war damages.
Of course, that was just an exaggeration, but DeathLingers knew signing such a contract was already above his authority. There was no way the higher-ups would agree to sign such a humiliating and ridiculous contract.
However, DeathLingers also knew if he refused to sign on the spot, then Xu Feng would unleash his retaliation without any hesitation.
"I know you're probably struggling about not having enough authority, but you can still send ssages to them. Have them understand what it ans to continue to side with the Reaver Guild and go against ." Xu Feng reminded him kindly.
DeathLingers bit his lips, feeling like he had been trapped in a cage with a ferocious tiger. His life and death hang in the mood of the ferocious tiger.
"This is going to damage the Eternal Guild's reputation." Finally, DeathLingers mustered up his courage to negotiate with this ferocious tiger.
"If we openly admit and repay you, then what will others think of the Eternal Guild? They will not commission us or even apply to join us anymore!"
"You're right, but that only remains true if you betray your contractor because you realize sothing else." Xu Feng chuckled and approached him.
Zhao Kai instinctively wanted to stop him from getting too close, only to be held back by Carn.
Upon being stared at by him, clearly wondering why she stopped him, Carn simply shook her head and mouthed 'trust him' only.
Amidst seeing her confidence in his buddy, Zhao Kai smiled bitterly and decided to let Xu Feng take the risk.
However, what he didn't know was that Carn wasn't a bit afraid of Xu Feng actually dying.
'Back when we first t and Feng helped
out, he was capable of self-revival without any item usage. He definitely has a unique skill.' Carn thought to herself.
Most of the players, when there are no clerics nearby, would either use revival items to respawn or choose to respawn to the nearest city after death.
There was no other option available, which ca to a shock for many who were used to respawning with so penalty or experience points loss.
Despite the initial shock, most soon ca up with the reasoning to prevent anyone from trying to use large numbers to grind. With the respawn thod being extrely tedious, players were forced to have a Cleric around.
Otherwise, they could only respawn at the closest city, and once the terrain expanded larger. The distance to travel back to their grinding spot would be unimaginable.
As Carn wasn't worried for Xu Feng, he already began whispering sothing to DeathLingers.
"I've already collected evidence from the Sky Hunters and Astral Guild that the Reaver Guild was scheming behind the scenes. Plus, I've got evidence of them being a tyrannical guild, so the Eternal Guild could simply co forward with a righteous mind, condemning their guild operation and treatnt of ordinary players."
Xu Feng's soft voice was like the devil's whisper to DeathLingers' ears. After all, his words were like the saving rope for his dilemma and predicant.
Essentially, what the Eternal Guild would gain was the reputation they desperately needed to retain their status as a first-rate guild.
By compensating the Vanguard Guild while condemning the Reaver Guild, not only would they not lose anything, but they would also gain a massive following.
This would stand true especially when Xu Feng practically said he got dirt on the Reaver Guild.
DeathLingers' expression changed multiple tis before he sighed and requested. "I'll need to send a ssage to my higher-ups regarding this first."
"Go ahead, but keep in mind, you only have three minutes." Xu Feng agreed to his request but gave him a ti limit.
After all, the one who should be concerned was not him, but the Eternal Guild's higher-ups.
If they can't even respond to an urgent ssage within three minutes, then they don't deserve to retain their first-rate status either. He might as well use them as a stepping stone for the Vanguard Guild.
Three minutes quickly went by, and DeathLingers breathed a sigh of relief.
He raised his chin and gazed at Xu Feng, "The higher-ups agreed under the condition that everything you said is true. Additionally, they hoped to have priority in buying a few of your Elental Warrior Sets."
Nodding, Xu Feng wasn't surprised by the condition.
With the appearance of the Elental Warrior Set, and the fact that only the Vanguard Guild had possession of it.
They would be dumb to antagonize them at the mont, which was the main reason why Xu Feng was daring enough to declare war with the Eternal Guild if needed.
DeathLingers thought he was being impulsive?
No, was he just too noob and low-ranked to be able to comprehend the decision that higher-ups would make?
They don't look at just one picture. They look at the big picture and consider everything before finalizing a decision.
"You can tell your higher-ups that after the raid, I'll announce an auction event of the sets. Those with an invitation can get priority of 1 Elental Warrior Set." Xu Feng revealed.
"Our Eternal Guild would get the invitation, right?" DeathLingers knew they would get it, but still decided to ask for confirmation. It was better to ask than assu it, only to regret it later on.
"If you sign it now and stop acting like a dork." Xu Feng coolly said, wanting DeathLingers to stop wasting his ti.
"Yes," DeathLingers quietly signed the contract on behalf of the Eternal Guild, acting as the representative. As for DarkSage, his authority was currently sidelined until further notice.
"DarkSage should have been inford by the higher-ups that the operation is canceled and that he will have to adhere to your command." DeathLingers explained.
"At least your Eternal Guild knows what's best for them." Xu Feng waved his hand, officially ending this sabotage sche.
