After Xu Feng's fierce declaration, along with his subtle threat to those within his team to not doubt Carn, almost everyone began to shut their mouths.

They don't even dare to reveal any hint of displeasure or skepticism.

However, Xu Feng didn't care as he continued to explain who the real idiots were.

"The monsters that Lunar Wraith sensed had already surrounded us, but you can't see them because your perception is worth less than recyclable trash."

He then proceeded to wield his staff and shot out his Sacred Fire on the nearby wall.

The wall received the impact, but a few seconds later, it appeared as if the wall was a live object. The wall turned sluggish and wiggled around.

"What the heck?" Startled, Ardent Lance's eyes widened in shock and horror.

It would have been fine if such animation was shown on a surface filled with sunlight, but here, where everything was gloomy and grim.

Such animation was like a jumpscare scene.

"Dodge to your 3'o' clock position." Xu Feng suddenly warned and moved away from his spot.

And as startled as everyone was initially, they all reacted quite fast and heeded his instruction, having swiftly moved away from their initial spot as well.

Shortly after, the walls that were wiggling earlier, started to extend out like so spiderweb. The spiderweb was gooey and sticky, but what horrified them was how it lted the floor.

"What kind of web dissolved the floor like that?" Feeling a cold chill running down his spine, Ardent Lance beca nervous.

How was he supposed to tank such an attack?

No, he was more worried that the durability of his shield would be decreased to zero instantaneously.

"Don't be deceived by the sight." Xu Feng calmly advised. "These monsters are called Obsidian Sludges and they are rely a utility force."

These Obsidian Sludges were dark-colored and molten-like blobs of tar that crawled along the ground, leaving a burning trail. They were capable of latching onto the walls and used the dim light to their advantage to avoid detections.

Additionally, they had only three abilities, but each one of them was beyond a nuisance to any team.

"The Obsidian Sludges are capable of using Molten Grasp, Burning Trail, and Split. And what you just witnessed was Molten Grasp." Xu Feng explained and pointed at the dissolved floor.

"These molten grasps could damage the structure, but when it landed on us, it rely engulfed us to immobilize our movent." He continued and dodged another incoming Molten Grasp with relative ease.

After all, the Molten Grasp ability wasn't extrely fast and one could easily dodge it once they knew where it was being fired at.

"Eh, then could my shield block the ability?" Ardent Lance inquired, his left hand gripping tightly on the shield.

"It could deflect them if you react in ti, otherwise, your shield would get engulfed as it followed through your arms."

Petrified, Ardent Lance was stuck in a dilemma, unable to determine the best course of action.

Right at this mont, Iceheart retrieved her large claymore sword and slashed at an angle toward the walls.

SHING!

The Claymore sword slashed straight through the wall, creating a huge dent as the wall began to deform, revealing a nasty dark molten-like blob.

anwhile, Xu Feng facepald and quickly extended his hand to grab Iceheart's shoulder.

Alard, Iceheart turned around and glared at Xu Feng, seemingly confused about his action and why he felt the need to touch her physically.

"Why are you stopping

from killing them?" She narrowed her eyes and questioned coldly, wondering what his ridiculous nonchalant actions were.

Rather than actually instructing them how to counterattack or deal with them, he went on blabbering about its features and only telling them to dodge the so-called Molten Grasp.

Like what was his deal?

"Did I not say before that without my command, no one is to make a move on their own?" Contrary to her expectations, Xu Feng's aura changed drastically.

He exuded an extrely cold deanor— even colder than her personality and icy heart. No pun intended, but that was exactly what Iceheart felt at the mont.

"So are we supposed to just stay still and dodge without retaliation?" Iceheart clenched her fist.

'Crazy, she's gone crazy.' Steelshot exclaid inwardly in shock as he quickly hid behind SilentWhisper.

Hell, even SilentWhisper was trembling at the mont due to Iceheart's open defile of Xu Feng's authority.

At the peak of the cold and tense atmosphere, Veronica broke the silence as she discovered sothing. "Raid Leader, these blobs started to split into smaller sludges!"

So of the smaller sludges began to fire their Molten Grasp at her, but instead of retaliating, Veronica avoided them to the best of her ability.

"Use Frostbolt on them, Vortex Viper." Xu Feng ignored Iceheart temporarily when he noticed her struggle.

"Yes," With the instruction, Veronica hurriedly cast Frostbolt and launched at the small sludges.

The small sludges that were hit got blasted and froze in place, incapable of moving further.

"Now use Fla Surge on the frozen small sludges!" Continue reading at empire

A second later, Veronica wielded her staff and launched Fla Surge at the frozen small sludges.

Upon impact, the frozen sludges had an Elental Reaction of lting. They couldn't split into smaller sludges any longer and directly disintegrated into nothingness due to the collision of fire and ice.

Despite the successful killing of a few small sludges, there were still many more that had split themselves due to Iceheart's great claymore sword slashes.

"Good, keep it up and Lunar Wraith, summon your Elentalist to distract the other sludges." Xu Feng commanded and quickly assigned tasks to everyone.

Those who were capable of magical spells were responsible for the killing, whereas those who were more physically based had to deflect any blobs that slipped through the cracks.

However, it was easier said than done, considering the Obsidian Sludges had managed to split up to at least in the hundred digits.

"If all won who act cold were like this, then I seriously wonder why many n would want such a woman as their companion." Xu Feng clicked his tongue and calmly assisted Veronica from behind.
