Having tad the Mini Earthrender to be obedient, Xu Feng continued his walk.

Upon passing through a few food vendors, the Mini Earthrender suddenly made so grumbling noise.

"You're hungry?" Xu Feng questioned softly. Since it had been born, it didn't consu anything yet before it was sent to another place.

anwhile, the Mini Earthrender made a few chirping sounds and rubbed its small tummy.

Nodding, Xu Feng asked, "Which food attracts you the most?"

The Mini Earthrender's eyes sparkled as it gazed at one specific food vendor.

When Xu Feng followed its gaze, he was surprised.

"So greens?" He pointed at the food vendor who was grilling so vegetables-kind of food.

Although slightly surprised by its choice, having witnessed the Mini Earthrender drooling at the vegetables that were being grilled, Xu Feng walked toward the owner.

"Hi, how much for a plate of grilled vegetables?" Xu Feng asked.

The owner was grilling but when he lifted his chin up and gazed at the custor, he was shocked.

"Monster!!!" He cried out and nearly stumbled to the ground, his finger trembling and pointing at the monster on Xu Feng's shoulder.

In response, the Mini Earthrender started growling with a nacing aura rising up. It perceived the owner's finger-pointing action at him and Xu Feng as an attack.

Thus, it thought it was an enemy and the enemy must be eliminated.

"Calm down," Xu Feng gave a light pat on the head of Mini Earthrender before smiling apologetically to the owner.

"This is my pet and not a monster." He explained.

"Impossible, there's no registration link between you two!" the owner argued back, still keeping its distance from them.

"About that, I'm planning on going to register it." Xu Feng said and revealed the exemption pass given to him earlier by a guard.

Still cautious, the owner slowly walked to him and grabbed the exemption pass to inspect. Sure enough, the owner relaxed their nerves once they confird it was genuine.

"Young man, you should not scare people like that." The owner pursed their lips and comnted, clearly displeased with the jumpscare.

"Sorry, but this pet of mine was recently hatched and I hadn't given it any food."

"Hmm, I can see that it's still young and starving."

After seeing the monster clearly this ti, aside from its earlier provoked manner due to his actions, it was now rather docile.

"A plate of grilled vegetables cost 3 copper coins." The owner said and put a plate up at the front.

"3 copper coins eh," Xu Feng was surprised that a plate of grilled vegetables would cost that much. Previously, when he bought so beef skewers for Carn, it only cost 2 copper coins.

"The vegetables are freshly harvested at Thornshade. Monsters lurk there constantly, so the task of harvesting them is tedious." The owner explained its reasoning for the price.

'Thornshade huh.' Xu Feng recognized its na and it wasn't that far away from the area when he did the glitch exp trick.

If he recalled, Thornshade was filled with monsters at the strength of a Tier 1 to Tier 3 fighter. Thus, the owner's claim was valid that the task of harvesting them was difficult.

Monsters in that kind of level were extrely sensitive and perceptive. Even when far away, they could detect and sense people.

He also doubted the owner would attempt to deceive him, given it was rather easy to verify the truth.

However, what convinced him was the fact that the Mini Earthrender had already begun munching the grilled vegetables.

"You better not be another foodie." Xu Feng gazed at it and warned.

He then took out 3 copper coins and paid the owner. After all, the owner seed to be wary of whether he would dine and dash with the kind of gaze it was giving to him.

10 or so seconds later, the Mini Earthrender made a small burping sound, clearly full of the grilled vegetables.

"Let's go," Xu Feng shook his head and exclaid.

He turned around and did not even bother waiting for him to be ready.

Alard, the Mini Earthrender quickly flapped its tiny wings and flew toward Xu Feng, landing on its shoulder. It then chirped in a pitiful tone, seemingly depressed by his actions of trying to leave without it.

"Don't act cute or think that you could do whatever you want. Following

ans you must follow my rules." Xu Feng flickered its rocky forehead and warned.

The Mini Earthrender quickly lowered its head and no longer chirped, afraid of displeasing Xu Feng any further.

Just like that, the duo continued to walk without any hiccups. They arrived at the front of a glamorous building, with the signboard Pet Association highlighted brightly for everyone to see.

As Xu Feng approached the Pet Association, he noticed a steady stream of people entering and leaving the building, each accompanied by miniature magical creatures.

A young woman with a bright smile walked out, cradling a tiny, shimring fox-like creature with iridescent fur that flickered in the sunlight. The fox's tail swished playfully, and it seed to be nuzzling affectionately against its owner.

Nearby, a man with a casual air walked out of the Pet Association, his small, brown, and white terrier-like creature trotting alongside him.

'The Pet Association sure is a busy place as usual.' Xu Feng thought to himself.

At the current stage, the NPCs had more pets than one could count. In fact, Xu Feng feared that he was probably the first player to obtain a pet.

With that thought in mind, Xu Feng suddenly wondered why he hadn't received an achievent for obtaining a pet.

'Could it be that I need it to be registered for the system to officially recognize the feat?' Xu Feng furrowed his brows, recalling the previous guard and owner's reaction to the Mini Earthrender on his shoulder.

Although he explained and showed that the Mini Earthrender was tad, that didn't stop them from questioning or being afraid. Explore more adventures at empire

"Looks like I should hurry it up." Xu Feng murmured, rushing straight to the entrance door.
