After entering the portal Earthrender created, Xu Feng felt a warm sensation. Under his status screen, there were also nurous buff icons that appeared.

"You are indeed one hateful perceptive man." Earthrender exclaid, and continued, "Indeed, in this environnt, there's an offspring of mine. It's still in egg form, but very soon, it will crack and be born into this world."
"And I suppose the successor was ant to be entrusted with the newborn creature." Xu Feng helped finish off what he wanted to say.
"Don't use the word creature!" Earthrender roared. "It's an extension of my life, so it's going to be called Mini Earthrender."
Xu Feng rolled his eyes in response. "What a casual na that is."
"What casual? I spent a lot of ti thinking of the na."

Speechless, Xu Feng didn't expect to find a person who could na sothing worse than him for once.
All he did was add the word mini in front of his na.
Was that really difficult to do?
Nevertheless, the two soon arrived at the central area, and from afar, Xu Feng saw an egg being wrapped carefully in so blanket. It was quite surprising to see the tenderness and care that the Earthrender was capable of doing for its offspring.
Narrowing his eyes, Xu Feng could determine the egg was showing signs of cracking, aning it was about to be born.
'No wonder the illusion realm ended rather quickly.' Xu Feng thought to himself.
Although he had figured out he was in an illusion, the usual practice was that he would be tasked with another test.
However, it was clear that Earthrender could not afford to waste any more ti and thus hastily chose him as successor.
If it wasn't for his ddling and sabotages, then there were bound to be more competitors in the run to be a successor. Therefore, in a sense, Xu Feng's shrewd actions had inadvertently helped him gain a pet for free.
Being the sole culprit of such, it would be a shock if Earthrender didn't hate him.
"So do we just wait here?" Xu Feng asked softly, unsure of what to do by arriving here.
"Hmph, obviously we need to establish a contract." Earthrender snorted and conjured a magical piece of paper from out of nowhere.
"For secret reasons, I'm unable to leave the Abyssal Rift, but my newborn needs to experience life and receive a magical fruit from the Land of Terrarium."
"The Land of Terrarium?" Stunned, Xu Feng finally understood the aning of being a successor.
Successor was rely a generous term, but the truth was that it was about becoming a babysitter or nanny.
Land of Terrarium might be an unfamiliar term for the current mainstream players, but Xu Feng knew it well. In fact, those mainstream players would soon understand it as they progressed further.
After all, the Land of Terrarium was a place where players could go to recruit pets to assist them in battle.
These pets were not a mount-type beast, but rather a supporting monster, beast, or creature, who could assist players in various situations.
So special terrains would require specific pets to explore or activate so chanism for them to continue further.
Despite knowing that, Xu Feng held a deadpan expression.
"The Aurora Fruit is a sacred fruit in the Land of Terrarium. Just trying to get your hands in one required a ton of tasks and approvals." Xu Feng explained.
Alard, Earthrender clearly didn't expect Xu Feng to actually know about the place, as well as its sacred fruit.
'Damn it, how does he know about it?' Earthrender cried inwardly. He thought that he could sohow trick Xu Feng into accepting it, but now it had beco quite difficult.
"This is beneficial to you as well, healer." Earthrender coughed and said, referring to him as a healer and no longer a man.
"My newborn is definitely going to beco strong like , so having it as your companion. Your future is bound to be fruitful."
"What companion?" Xu Feng waved, "It's just going to beco a pet that I need to constantly take care of."
Others might have fallen into the allure of obtaining a great pet, but he knew more than anything how difficult it was to increase the growth of a newborn creature.
Aside from requiring the Aurora Fruit to evolve, one needed to constantly feed it valuable materials such as food, herbs, coins, ores, etc.
It was legit a draining function where one could go completely broke if not careful.
"Oh co on, just sign the contract and you can have it as your companion for many years." Earthrender urged, feeling desperate.
The egg was about to hatch, and it was the most important ti for a contract to be established. Once the timing was missed, its newborn creature was going to have a difficult path in its evolution.
Additionally, the people who could contract it must be those who passed the realm of illusion. All of this was because of the damnable restriction, forcing Earthrender to resort to this desperate asurent.
