A pent-up rage and frustration rose in Crimson Heart's mind as she never expected these two to be talking behind her back— and so blatantly at that.
Clearly, they knew she would definitely follow behind them, but they still decided to speak of her being a jinx with a hint of disgust in their tone as well.
"I can't believe you two to be this kind of person!" Having caught up to them, Crimson Heart quickly shouted in fury.
"Eh, when did you get there?" Startled, Carn visibly seed surprised by her appearance.
She proceeded to hide behind Xu Feng's back and peeked out a little, "Aren't you a little rude to eavesdrop on our conversation?"
"..."
A pulsing vein appeared on Crimson Heart's forehead, almost mimicking the likeness of an angry symbol from a comic picture depiction.
Crimson Heart's eyebrows furrowed sharply, and her nostrils flared as she clenched her fists tight. A wave of heat rose to her face, flushing her cheeks with frustration.
Her eyes seed to be burning with a fierce intensity, and her lips pressed into a thin, tight line.
"Who's the actual rude one here, Carn?" She shot an icy glare at Carn, her body trembling with the effort to hold back her temper.
It was clear that Crimson Heart was on the verge of snapping, every muscle tense with barely restrained rage.
"You are the one rude one." Carn flatly responded.
"We even made sure to enter here and then talk about you when you're not here. If we were rude, then we would have said it directly to your face." She continued, nodding at the sa ti, clearly finding her explanation very logical.
anwhile, Crimson Heart was utterly speechless by her explanation.
Carn's words indeed sounded logical, but in reality, it was most definitely not. What she said was equivalent to justifying gossiping toward soone's back without their knowledge was considered admirable and generous.
"Is this how you treat others not in your guild?" Crimson Heart questioned Xu Feng.
"Don't look at my Guild Leader." Carn intervened and stood in front of her.
"We're not in a team to begin with, so honestly, we have no obligation to continue the adventure with you. Of course, that is if you're a part of us, but I doubt so." She added, flashing a cold smirk.
Crimson Heart clenched her fist, gnashed her teeth, and asked, "So if I join the guild, can I bash her once and you won't intervene?"
Xu Feng faked a cough, but continued, "Naturally a guild mber having a disagreent should have a fight. As for bashing who, that'll depend on your skills."
In other words, he was giving his approval that he wouldn't intervene and help as long as Crimson Heart was one of them.
"Fine, I'll join, but only as an outer mber." Crimson Heart snorted coldly.
This ti, she was definitely going to teach Carn a lesson.
She didn't understand how Carn could repeatedly taunt her when they seed to have reconciled a little bit from their earlier fight with the Chasm Stalker.
Just at this mont. She received a guild invitation from Xu Feng, almost a bit too quickly.
Suddenly, realization struck her as she paused her finger mid-air. "Wait a minute, is this all a scam to get
to join the guild?"
"Yep, so please accept the invite and you can proceed to the 1v1." Xu Feng swiftly said, clearly not a bit embarrassed that she found out in the end.
After all, the scam had been deployed and activated successfully.
There was no escape!
Since they could act almost pitch-perfect in scamming her, then surely, they could really treat her in such a manner.
"So all that taunt and gossip was a lie?" Crimson Heart twitched her mouth, her gaze locking on Carn.
anwhile, Carn stuck her tongue out and readily threw Xu Feng under the bus.
"This was all the Guild Leader's plan. I rely follow his advice and act as a snobby woman who is ant to irritate you. So how was my deviousness?"
"You are really no different than a punchable villainous." Crimson Heart comnted, her anger quickly subsided.
At the sa ti, she glared at Xu Feng and vowed, "I might join your guild, but don't expect I will contribute anything. This is your karma for recruiting
in such a ridiculous and unbridled scam."
"We'll see." Amused, Xu Feng calmly checked the notification and noticed she had officially joined his guild.
Carn also held an amused expression. After all, she had been inford by Xu Feng through a private ssage how he was confident Crimson Heart would work hard for the guild.
Sure enough, a few minutes later, Crimson Heart noticed the possible items eligible for exchange as soon as one ranked up to mber— two ranks above the Recruit.
'How did he manage to have an abundant amount of these ores?' Stunned and startled, Crimson Heart required these specific ores deeply to advance her Blacksmith Profession.
However, the materials of these were not only expensive, but they were also very scarce. Yet she had now been inford that as long as she could rank up to beco a mber, then she could exchange them for GMP.
Since she joined, her rank was automatically Recruit. Followed after Recruit was Junior mber and then mber.
"This is a scam still!" Crimson Heart exclaid in annoyance when she realized the thod to earn GMP was very limited. "It'll take months of being a labor slave before I can barely rank up to Junior mber."
"Relax, that thod is ant to torture and serve as a severe warning to those who tried to target
back at Star Falls City." Xu Feng mused and turned to Carn.
Carn nodded her head and proceeded to fake a cough. "Ahem, so my Guild Leader said that your contribution here will count toward your GMP. it will be labeled as special exploration and the more you contribute, the higher GMP you will earn."
