With Carn teleported next to Xu Feng, she sohow realized the pressure that she had been receiving, disappeared.
Astonished, she didn't even bat an eyelid on Yaren and turned her attention to Xu Feng.
"Are you okay, Guild Leader?" She asked in concern, retrieving a health potion and helping him drink it.
Since they were still in the guild team that Xu Feng invited her for the glitch exp, she was able to see Xu Feng's mana bar had been zeroed out. Hence, he couldn't even use his skill to heal himself even if he wanted to.
As for why Xu Feng wasn't able to retrieve a health potion to consu, even an idiot could tell he couldn't move a muscle.
Other people were struggling to move, and she had to surpass her limit to move, so how could Xu Feng move when he was directly confronted and targeted by Yaren's murderous aura?
After consuming the health potion, Xu Feng smiled bitterly at Carn.
He didn't bla her for assisting him and was actually grateful for her willingness to side with him despite the circumstances.
However, her intervention had kind of ruined his initial plan.
"I thought you would be resisting for longer, but it seems like your luck in being a companion is amazing." Yaren retracted her murderous aura, returning the stage back to normal.
"She's Lunar Wraith and a valuable companion of mine." Xu Feng took a step forward, shielding Carn from Yaren.
"I'm sure you know I can resist longer, but only the outco matters." He added, wiping off so of the blood.
"So you're not even going to argue with
about it?" Yaren mused and teleported.
The next mont, she appeared behind Carn and immobilized her. "Are you not going to bla her for ruining your supposed resistance? As long as you agree to bla her, then I'll take a step back and agree to your condition."
Carn's eyes widened in shock when she heard her words.
However, aside from her eyes being able to move, her other limbs remained motionless. No matter how much she tried to exert her strength or mana to move, it was futile.
anwhile, Yaren was relishing the scene and smiled at Carn.
"Do you think your Guild Leader will bla you or not?" She asked softly.
Carn rolled her eyes, clearly not going to entertain her craziness.
Nodding, Yaren turned her attention to Xu Feng. "So long as you bla your companion, the first-place reward goes to you and you will not need to undergo any test. Also, regarding your condition from earlier, I will agree to it. If you think I'm ssing with you, we can establish a contract on the spot. This is my biggest compromise to date yet!"
"What??!"
"Is this for real? Why couldn't this opportunity be mine?"
"Elder Yaren is actually being this generous? It should have been !"
Before Xu Feng could even respond, the audience who finally regained their composure were thoroughly stunned by Yaren's declaration.
Clearly, all of them would have agreed instantaneously on the spot.
Much less ntion them, even Razor and Brutus were tempted to bla Carn for her rude interruption.
'Is he really going to bla his companion though?' Crimson Heart, who had been sidelined from the start, was glancing at Xu Feng from afar. She was curious about what Xu Feng would choose under such a proposal.
Almost all eyes were now staring at Xu Feng directly except for Carn.
Yaren was truly despicable in ensuring Carn could not gaze at Xu Feng, and she even went as far as covering Carn's ears with her mana.
That way, Carn was technically blind and deaf regardless of the decision Xu Feng might make.
"So what is your decision, Lin Feng?" Yaren asked again, but this ti, she constructed a contract on the spot using mana.
A few seconds later, the contract was sent to Xu Feng.
He browsed the contract briefly, and sure enough, everything was listed exactly what they had ntioned earlier, with Yaren's signature on the bottom.
All Xu Feng needed to do was put his own signature and the contract would be in effect.
He held the contract with his hand and then gazed at Yaren. "I'm not the type to do a cowardly act, so there's no need to make my companion temporarily deaf. You can turn her around and let her listen."
An amused expression appeared on Yaren's face.
"Very well," she agreed with his suggestion and allowed Carn to witness this sensation.
Contrary to what others might have thought, Carn didn't hold any sign of panic. In fact, she was rather calm, almost as if she couldn't be bothered with the situation.
"Oh, are you not afraid your guild leader will bla you?" Yaren smiled softly. "He simply needs to bla you and I will free you. All the other rewards ntioned would also be granted simultaneously. So shouldn't you agree that this fault was yours?"
"You're trying to cause a rift between us, and I must applaud you, Elder Yaren." Carn softly spoke before shaking her head. Stay connected through empire
"But one thing you still don't understand is the fact that my guild leader will never bend his back to the likes of you." She sneered coldly.
And precisely at that mont, Xu Feng laughed loudly.
"Ah, you really had to ruin my mont?" He complained before ripping the contract apart. "I was cooking up an amazing dialogue but then you had to steal the spotlight."
"Stop lying, Guild Leader." Carn rolled her eyes at him.
"Had you wanted the spotlight, then you would have done it from the start. But you just wanted to test if I have any confidence in you. Hmph, I can't believe you would do this kind of thing. I expect a massive compensation later on." She pouted, but anyone with discerning eyes and ears could tell the two were teasing each other.
anwhile, the most annoyed person was none other than Yaren.
Not only did she fail to cause a rift, but she even made a fool of herself.
"The galls of the two of you!" She shouted coldly and suddenly snapped her fingers. Soon, she, Carn, and Xu Feng vanished from the stage, leaving everyone else confused and dumbfounded.
