When Xu Feng finished his monologue of his logic in coming up with the response, almost everyone had one word in their mind: Bootlicker!
No matter how much flowery prose Xu Feng used, it still doesn't change the fact that Xu Feng was praising Yaren to the sky. Yaren was a busy person, so who could possibly ask her to assist them in every forging process.
Contrary to everyone's expectations, Yaren was rather amused as she continued to question his motive. "There are many famous blacksmiths other than , so why did you pick
precisely?"
"Based on the "if" possibility question, it ans that I'm most likely the blacksmith who would use two incompatible materials. If I'm going to search for an experienced one, why wouldn't I choose the one closest to ?" Xu Feng responded, almost as if it was only natural to choose Yaren for assistance.
"But what if I refuse to assist you?"
"Then I can only continue without your presence and risk losing both materials in the process of creating possibly amazing equipnt."
Silence quickly consud the atmosphere as soon as Xu Feng finished his speech. Nearly every contestant was waiting for Yaren to make a judgnt.
However, most of them believed that Yaren was going to disqualify Xu Feng on the spot.
At the end of the day, Xu Feng's response still revolved no differently than those who had been disqualified already.
Unlike him, most of them truly thought out of the box and ca up with a conjecture of their own such as the two types of incompatible materials and how they could resolve the issues.
So even went far and beyond, listing past attempts and using them as references for their answer. What made them confident in their response was that it took them less than a minute to record them all, proving their superior knowledge and understanding of the Profession.
Finally, after a few minutes of silence, Yaren smirked coldly.
'It's happening!'
So of the contestants were excited to see a similar smirk whenever she made a move to strike.
While everyone was thinking there would be one less contestant, Xu Feng was rather calm as he patiently waited for Yaren's verdict.
"Haha, truly thinking outside the box and having the courage to defend your action." Yaren suddenly started laughing and continued, "Very well, as a blacksmith, how could one improve if they are always a wussy. And to request a senior to assist you isn't wrong either."
"What?!" One of the contestants exclaid in shock when the response was totally different than the ones he was thinking.
Alas, his exclamation interrupted Yaren, garnering her attention as she browsed through their response.
"Research the incompatible materials and forcefully test it multiple tis until it succeeds? What a complete waste of materials and a dumb response overall. Failed!" Yaren quickly gave her verdict, causing the contestant who spoke aloud to turn pale instantly.
As for the verdict for Xu Feng, nearly everyone had their eyes on him, including those in the audience.
Not only was he fluent in his explanation, but his deanor actually managed to satisfy Yaren, resulting in being the first contestant to pass.
Shortly after, Xu Feng's na was displayed on the big screen in Section B, for having passed the preliminary test based on one question.
With the system's prompt acknowledging it, he was now free from the restriction and could open his interface.
Without a surprise, Carn had sent him multiple ssages.
'The demoness of the past is actually this concern?' Xu Feng didn't know what happened, but it wasn't a bad feeling either. Soon, he replied to her, telling her not to worry and could do so betting.
Having so knowledge of Yaren's behavior, he would be a fool to not take advantage of it to earn more money.
No one would ever complain about having more money.
While Xu Feng finished giving her so instructions, Yaren's mood gradually beca pleased as she read more responses.
"Oh, this contestant is quite clever. To compress the incompatible material and make it undergo a rune formation to ensure the clashing of them would minimize." Yaren's smile was even wider as she gazed at the contestant.
The contestant she looked at was Crimson Heart.
"Contestant number 88!" Yaren called out.
"Yes, Conductor!" Crimson Heart responded.
"You have a bright future. I'm looking forward to your progress in the second round." Yaren smiled, her actions stunning nearly everyone in the scene. Being complinted by the strict and eccentric Yaren, could be considered a major achievent, and Crimson Heart herself had managed to garner the contestant's attention to be wary of.
At first, they thought Xu Feng was their biggest threat, but now their target had been changed to Crimson Heart.
Xu Feng could rely be considered eloquent in his speech, but Crimson Heart directly received praise for the answer and pleased Yaren enough to get a complint.
'This woman cannot be allowed to be advanced.'
"I'll need to have her eliminated in the second round.'
While the contestant was astonished by this sudden dark horse, Xu Feng rely closed his eyes for so rest.
'Crimson Heart isn't famous because of her look, but her talent. This kind of preliminary test is a walk in the park for her.' He exclaid inwardly.
anwhile, ti continued to pass by, and the original 50ish contestant had now dropped down to the 30s.
"Okay, those who still haven't received a pass are now eliminated. You may exit." Yaren said and pointed at the door. This ti, no matter how displeased or dissatisfied they were with the announcent, none of them made any complaint and silently exited the section.
With that done, Yaren continued with a wicked grin on her face, "The second round will begin on the outside where you can experience live feedback from the audience."
Crimson Heart and the other contestants tensed up slightly upon hearing that.
They would be damned if they believed there was no more twist in this competition. Additionally, her wicked grin could practically send chills down anyone's spine.
'I really got screwed by Manager Howard.' Xu Feng was more annoyed that he got sent into this kind of ssed up competition.
