While Carn believed Xu Feng must have used an exploit again to learn such a terrifying spell, both Brutus and Razor were inwardly relieved by their previous decision.
"Good thing we decided not to attack, Razor," Brutus said with a sowhat pale face.
"You think?" Razor rolled his eyes, his hands clutching tightly on his stomach.
The blast struck his back but managed to penetrate him, causing his stomach to still feel pain. His regenerative ability was decent, but it wasn't enough to negate the painful feeling during the recovery.
"Ah, my bad." It was at this ti that Xu Feng recalled Razor was still injured by his Nether Blast. As an apology, he began healing Razor, much to the latter surprise.
"Boss is a Cleric?" Razor twitched his mouth in disbelief. You were telling him he got injured by a Cleric?
A cleric whose role was known as support that healed or buffed people?
What kind of sick joke was that?
Not to ntion Razor's astonishnt, even Brutus was stunned by the sight.
They had believed Xu Feng was either an Arcane Mage or Sorcerer after that offensive power, but reality hit differently.
"Look at the shock you did to them, Guild Leader." Carn took the chance to tease Xu Feng.
At the sa ti, she felt prideful that she wasn't alone in questioning Xu Feng's class. Even NPCs were baffled by his classes, so clearly, the problem lay with him and not her.
"What's so shocking about this?" Xu Feng rolled his eyes. He didn't think his Nether Blast should garner such attention.
Its offensive power was indeed a bit too much, but there was a big limitation to it. That was the cooldown tir of it.
Although he could store 2 Nether Blast, it takes at least 1-5 minutes to fully recover one of the blasts, with the tir being dependent on luck.
And during those 1-5 minutes, it was enough ti for a battle to change the tide.
The only reason why he used Nether Blast here was because he wanted to test the difference between his current strength against a Tier 3 fighter.
Sure enough, the effect looked cool, but the actual damage was quite negligible. Razor rely felt so pain, but it wasn't enough to hinder his combat power if this was a real battle and not a spar.
"Anyway, are we going to resu the spar?" Carn asked, itching to have another go.
"Oh, you already comprehended the main point?" Amused, Xu Feng was sowhat surprised that she managed to grasp his example rather quickly.
"Mhmm, your movent is fast, but I've noticed you made a move before Razor and Brutus even began." Carn nodded and continued, "You must have analyzed their actions and movent beforehand when I was sparring with them earlier. So you were able to gather so data and utilize it to your advantage."
"Correct." Xu Feng smiled, praising her for catching up on how he was able to achieve this result. Aside from the fact that Razor and Brutus underestimated him, believing he was easy prey, he also managed to deduce their actions in advance.
To be more precise, Xu Feng used ga theory to gain the upper hand against Razor and Brutus.
He didn't just react to their actions; he anticipated them by analyzing their likely strategies based on their roles and overconfidence.
Knowing that Razor, as a Gunner, would try to keep his distance and fire from range and that Brutus, as a Berserker, would rush in for a powerful lee attack, Xu Feng planned his moves accordingly.
He predicted their optimal responses to his presence, allowing him to set up a counter-strategy that exploited their expected behaviors.
By doing this, he turned their own tactics against them, staying ahead of their moves and using their strengths as tools for their downfall.
"I won't give much advice, but you should be wary now. These NPCs aren't foolish enough to fall for it twice." Xu Feng warned softly and stepped out of the sparring field.
A sly smile appeared on Carn's face when she heard his warning.
Naturally, she was not going to follow his example precisely but adapt from it.
As she went to the stage and assud a battle stance, both Razor and Brutus turned focus. It had been quite humiliating and embarrassing for them to be toyed with by Xu Feng, so how could they afford to beco a laughingstock again?
"Are you ready?" Brutus asked calmly, no longer planning on going easy with Carn.
"I'm ready." Carn nodded her head.
"Then let's begin!" Brutus exclaid and rushed toward Carn. However, to his astonishnt, Carn also stepped on the ground, propelling herself forward.
"What the?" Confused by Carn's action, Brutus reacted a bit late, allowing Carn to launch a blinding spell through an Elentalist she summoned.
"Damn it, not again!" Caught off-guard, Brutus hurriedly covered his eyes with his arm, using his other hand to swing his axe.
"She's at your 10 o'clock!" Razor shouted when he noticed Brutus swinging at an empty air. To support him, he began firing his gun, only to realize the bullets actually went through Carn's body.
"Not good, a fake!" Razor was alard and realized what he shot was an illusionist Elentalist who had mimicked the appearance of Carn.
And since he had given the false information earlier, Brutus swung his axe at the fake, leaving the injured Carn alone.
Indeed, Carn had tanked the first axe strike, receiving quite a bit of damage but restrained herself from making any sound. By doing so, she had successfully misdirected their attention. Brutus, who had believed his comrade's words, now had his back wide open for Carn.
"Defend your back now!" Razor cried aloud, hoping that Brutus would react in ti.
Alas, the warning ca just a little bit too late.
"Now you're warning him?" Carn sneered nacingly as she went all out and used all her mana to unleash her deadly spell. "Accept my full power and enjoy it!"
