Dawnshire City
Nurous streaks of light appeared at a Teleportation Platform, gracing their presence in the city.
Stepping out of the platform, Gentle Wind subsequently took a deep breath in.
"The mana density here is superior to Riverwood Town." She exclaid, feeling the changes right away. She felt her mind had been cleared and the control of her body increased by at least 10 percent.
Steelshot, SilentWhisper, and the other elite mbers nodded in agreent.
"This is indeed a new era," SilentWhisper muttered, realizing the ga had finally undergone a new phase.
"The city of era." Steelshot chid in. "I'm sure other guilds are catching up to us as well, so we need to hurry up. We can't give them any opening to surpass us."
The rest agreed with Steelshot's words.
They worked so hard and grinded day and night to widen the gap between the other guilds. There was no way they would attempt to enjoy the city scenery and relax.
"Alright, let's grind quickly at the Dawnery Wine field. The monsters there drop abundant EXP, as well as critical materials for us." Gentle Wind instructed, following the extensive city guide.
Others might be lost by the majestic sight and vast expanse of Dawnshire City, but not for her. She didn't doubt the authenticity of the guide either, considering the hefty price they paid for it.
Unless Lin Feng's boss's vision had turned to trash, there was no way they would destroy their reputation for so petty money.
Thus, she was going to maximize the guide to her guild's advantage.
And while Gentle Wind began the new era in Dawnshire City, back at the dinsion plane, Xu Feng and Carn remained trapped.
"Not here either, Guild Leader." Carn panted heavily and smiled bitterly. By now, her mana had already been drained to zero, and never once did she think it would affect her movents and actions.
At most, she rely thought having zero mana ant that she could no longer use skills, but that was a pipe dream.
"This is quite troubleso." Xu Feng knitted his brows, not realizing it was going to be this difficult. To make things worse, they were unable to contact anyone, much less access to the ga forum.
In other words, they could only forcefully log out, but doing so must be a last resort. Anyone who forcefully logged out in such an environnt would receive a severe penalty— no less than being killed by an NPC.
"Are you feeling unwell?" He turned his attention to Carn, who had a sowhat pale complexion. She was probably experiencing mana deficiency.
Mana deficiency was a term referring to those who were losing mana at a negative value.
It was a condition that most players wouldn't figure out at this stage of the ga, given their mana bar would only indicate 0.
However, the truth was, that they could go to negative value, but it won't show up for the players.
All they saw was the nurical 0, and nothing else.
Hence, when the first player experienced the mana deficiency condition, they were thoroughly confused despite consuming multiple mana potions, yet the mana bar remained at 0.
It caused quite the commotion in his past tiline, with the affected player slowly realizing his mana had gone to an invisible negative value.
They needed to compensate for the amount of lost mana through a ton of Mana Recovery Potions or wait for a long ti till their mana recovered enough naturally.
At this point, Xu Feng was subtly regretting bringing her over here. After all, he hadn't stocked up much on Mana Recovery Potions.
"Carn, drink these up," He said solemnly, handing her all his Mana Recovery Potions.
"No need," Carn shook her head.
"This is not the ti to act humble and reject my goodwill."
"No… I an I can sense so strong mana fluctuation now that my mana has been drained completely."
"You can sense them now?" Astonished, Xu Feng didn't expect her to suddenly drop a ga bomb on him. He had tried his best and every thod he knew, only to end up with naught.
Yet Carn sohow sensed the mana fluctuation?
'Could it be one needed to have their mana drained completely? No, that wouldn't make sense.' As Xu Feng pondered over this, he suddenly thought of another possibility.
The port could possibly require a substantial amount of mana to activate. Hence, there was no fluctuation previously whatsoever.
Without the required mana, it would naturally remain dormant, unable to be detected.
And since Carn's mana was the highest among the two, the port automatically chose Carn to extract.
Now Xu Feng felt even sowhat pitiful for her. Because she was high level and had an abundant amount of mana, she was drained completely to such a state.
"Ahem, I know it's not right to ask you to move when you're in such a state, but we should locate the port to get out of here quickly." Xu Feng faked a cough and urged her to hurry up in a roundabout manner.
Although it was true they needed to hurry, Carn gritted her teeth at his heartlessness.
'What happened to the earlier concern?' She shouted internally, seemingly believing he was faking it.
Nevertheless, she still placed her hand around Xu Feng's shoulder, using his strength to begin walking as she guided them to a specific coordinate.
Shortly after arriving at an unseemly location, Carn said, "The mana fluctuation is the densest here."
"Here huh?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow, clearly not seeing anything special.
However, he didn't find it surprising, given the contributor might be the only one to see the uniqueness.
"Eh… So how do I activate the port?" Carn turned her head to him, seemingly asking for advice.
"Right, can you point at the origin of the fluctuation?" Xu Feng smiled awkwardly. "I'll need to inject mana there, but it's probably impossible for you."
Instantaneously, Carn glared at him, clearly faulting him for having lower mana than her despite being the guild leader. 'A guild leader is lower level than the only mber of the guild. Just what kind of guild did I join? A scamming guild?'
