Carn was startled by the sudden stern and cold tone made by Xu Feng. It was as if he had turned into another person.

But what baffled her more was that his words seed to make perfect sense.

After all, she had recalled the incident on a team that she was kicked out of.

'Back then, we struggled to kill a level 5 monster, and it dropped a Superior Common, but they still fought fiercely among each other.' Carn smiled bitterly.

She didn't have much of an interest in the drop because she felt that it was reasonable to not get any. Her contribution to the battle was very mild.

Thus, she was montarily blurred, considering how harmonious they looked on the surface as a team. Since she had done her part correctly, albeit not massive, she felt like equally distributing was the correct option.

However, Xu Feng's words and warnings caused her to reconsider her mindset.

"So are you saying we should not distribute any to Jeff?" Carn asked, a tinge of bitterness underlay in her tone.

"No, we will distribute it to him because you already said so." Xu Feng answered calmly.

Biting her lips softly, with her head lowered, she subsequently inquired, "A-Are you mad at

for making the decision without consulting you first?"

Without bothering to answer her, Xu Feng rely patted her head softly.

Feeling the warmth of his hand, Carn equally stayed silent afterward.

Based on such action, it was evident that Xu Feng wasn't mad. In fact, when she pondered further, she realized that he was rely trying to advise her properly on what to do next ti if she were to ever team up with others.

Simultaneously, she was starting to notice that Xu Feng had remained indifferent to the loot the entire ti.

Just take a look at Jeff.

He was strong, but even in the face of these loots, he lost his composure and even erupted into cheer.

However, Xu Feng was calm and collected, almost as if the pile of loot was nothing but trash in his eyes. Hell, he even wanted to use these loots as a welcoming gift to have her agree to join his future guild.

'Having such a person as guild leader… isn't all that bad.' Carn thought to herself.

Unaware of her thought process, Xu Feng truly didn't plan on creating a good reputation. He rely wanted Carn to remain vigilant and not act carelessly in the future if they were to be split off.

As much as he wanted her to be in his guild, that did not an he was going to restrict her movent.

She was free to party up with others, but when doing so, he wanted her to understand humans were complex, whether in terms of actions or emotions.

'If she remains cautious, then maybe the ruthless demoness might not occur in this tiline.' Xu Feng thought.

It was definitely a loss to not have such a ruthless demoness, but he didn't find it a pity.

Since she could reach the top in his past tiline, then she could definitely do it in this tiline. It was better to interact with the current Carn than the rumored isolated and distanced person.

Soti later, Xu Feng began inspecting the items. There were a total of 16 items to inspect, but seeing that it was Carn's first tough battle, he decided to go through each one of them.

With that in mind, he started checking the Superior Uncommon items, naly: Hurricane Cloak and Skyrazor Talons.

The Hurricane Cloak helped create a protective barrier of wind around the wearer, reducing the damage taken. To simplify, it was a piece of damage-reducer equipnt.

As for the Skyrazor Talons, it was an enhanced glove that increased attack power and provided a chance to stun enemies on hit.

"These Skyrazor Talons shall be left for Jeff," Xu Feng readily handed the item over to Carn. Weighing the two pieces of equipnt, it was more beneficial for him to take the cloak than the talons. Not to ntion, the talons itself looked quite hideous.

anwhile, Carn accepted the Talons and read the description of the item. By the ti she finished reading, she agreed that this item was more suitable for Jeff.

"Jeff is a Berserker and our main DPS." She comnted, feeling that these talons would fit just perfectly for Jeff.

Shortly after equipping the cloak, Xu Feng continued on with the Uncommon equipnt. Instead of pondering over which one to use for him, he first inspected which one would help Jeff.

A few seconds later, Xu Feng picked up two pieces, Windbreaker Armor and Feathered Mantle. The armor offered so good protection while allowing for increased agility and the mantle provided a minor increase in spell resistance.

"These two shall be for Jeff as well." He then handed them over to Carn.

"Okay."

"This Harbinger's Helm, Leather Boots, and Talons of the Harbinger will be for Jeff as well." He added, finalizing every piece of equipnt allocated to Jeff.

The Helm was Superior Common whereas the Boots and Talons were Common. Other than the helm, the last two pieces were inferior and sowhat useless in Xu Feng's mind.

As Carn accepted them, she said, "I'll bring this equipnt to Jeff first then."

Nodding, Xu Feng simply waved his hand, his attention focused on the equipnt.

Soti later, Carn happily hopped her legs, dashing toward Jeff, who similarly started cheering in laughter and thanking Carn after receiving the equipnt.

"Are these really allocated to ?" Jeff asked in a disbelieving tone, his hands trembling visibly.

"Of course, Feng personally chose it," Carn reassured him.

"Haha, these pieces of equipnt are indeed perfect for ."

As they chatted happily, they made quite the commotion, distracting Xu Feng.

Turning around, Xu Feng saw the two of them were close to prancing around.

'Is it really worth being happy over it?' He questioned inwardly, finding their actions illogical. 'Sigh, I'll just let them be.'
