Currently watching Jeff having the ti of his life battling the Harbinger, who could no longer soar to the sky, Xu Feng was satisfied that his gamble paid off well.

After all, he spent another handful of valuable herbs to intensify the fla to injure the wings of the Harbinger.

Not to ntion, the feeling of being roasted to death was definitely not sothing enjoyable.

Although he recovered, there was still a subconscious sll of him emitting so roast BBQ at.

'I don't know why this Skyrazor Harbinger is so aggressive, but it shall pay with its life to ss with us.' Xu Feng sneered inwardly.

"Are you not going to help him out?" Carn suddenly inquired, still controlling her Elentalists to occasionally hinder the Harbinger's movent.

Pondering for a mont, Xu Feng shook his head in the end.

"There's no need to help him any further, Carn." He calmly said.

"Without its ability to soar in the sky, the Harbinger lost most of its advantage. Jeff is a Berserker and the field advantage was now his alone. If he can't even deal with a weakened Harbinger despite knowing Dominion Rend, then he might as well quit his rcenary job."

"Dominion Rend again?"

Baffled, Carn still doesn't understand the implication behind it.

Though it wasn't surprising since Xu Feng doubted anyone would have such information regarding it yet.

After all, the skills aren't even shown in the skill tree slot for players until they complete their Tier advancent. The current players are only Tier 0, and the skills they can learn are limited.

Nevertheless, that doesn't an all skills in the Tier 0 skill tree are trash.

There are no trash skills, to be fair. Only trash players that can't utilize the skills to their maximum potential.

Shortly after, Carn didn't have a chance to inquire further as a loud commotion erupted in the battle.

Jeff roared, his battle axe glowing with an ominous red aura as he unleashed Dominion Rend. The ground beneath the Harbinger cracked and trembled, and the beast screeched in agony as the devastating attack tore through its defenses.

"Amazing," Carn muttered, watching the Harbinger falter under Jeff's relentless assault. With its wings crippled and its strength waning, the once-mighty beast was now at the rcy of the Berserker's fury.

"Seems like the battle is over." Xu Feng comnted frankly. Unless there were so more unexpected variables or external factors that occurred, the Harbinger was dood to die under the hands of Jeff.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, there were no miracles happening as the Harbinger screeched its one and final breath, its eyes closed for eternity.

Subsequently, Carn's experience points rose trendously for assisting in the fight.

anwhile, Xu Feng was taken aback slightly when he noticed his experience points which had always moved at a snail-like pace when killing monsters, going up at a visible rate to the naked eye.

'What the—' Confused, Xu Feng was positive that his debuff still had a day left. Nevertheless, that didn't stop him from opening his status screen to inspect. Enjoy exclusive chapters from m-v l'e|-

Once he opened it and realized the debuff was gone, Xu Feng was alard.

'How did the debuff disappear?' Xu Feng wondered silently.

Suddenly, he had a feeling that it was related to his death, which wasn't really a death, considering he had activated Divine Resurrection.

Although he didn't receive any death penalty, the system might still register him as dying once, and maybe because of that, the debuff vanished.

After all, in a sense, his escape from the Holy Sanctuary back then was unethical.

Therefore, the NPCs there might still believe he was trapped in the Miracle Garden, prompting the debuff to remain active as if he was actually captured and detained.

However, now that he officially "died" once in terms of the system log, the debuff would naturally vanish as it cannot be imposed on a supposed dead person.

Of course, everything was rely his speculation, and Xu Feng indeed had no idea how it happened.

'Whatever, it's not like it's a terrible thing.' Xu Feng thought to himself, opting to not overload his brain for sothing negligible.

"This beast is really not easy," Carn said, feeling weary and exhausted now that the battle was over.

She had been advised by Xu Feng that there was no point in assisting Jeff, but she still wanted to contribute sothing.

Unlike Xu Feng who had crippled its wings nearly at the cost of his life, she, on the other hand, did not do anything useful. Or at least that was what she believed in.

"You should take a rest," Xu Feng calmly advised. "You overuse your mana consumption repeatedly and it's going to start taking a toll on you for constantly performing so many spells at once."

"Haa, I don't get this ga," Carn panted heavily as she slumped to the ground. "Why is it that I feel so weary after performing all these spells? It doesn't even make sense."

Because this is not just a simple ga.

Xu Feng wanted to respond to her question with that but decided not to.

Instead, he chose to give another kind of explanation that would be easier to comprehend. "It's a virtual reality ga that connects our mind with the setting of this world. So everything you perform is mimicking your supposed actual real-life performance, hence the imrsive feelings you get."

"Is that so?" Carn knitted her brows, seemingly in deep thought.

His words made sense, given she wasn't that physically fit in the real world. Or more like she rarely moved so much, prompting her to feel quite exhausted after a long battle.

'I guess I need to exercise a bit more once I log out.' She made a ntal note of a to-do list.

anwhile, Xu Feng took notice of her condition and realized he needed to move fast to prevent such situations from occurring frequently.

'Looking at the ti, Ning Yi should have already got enough dirt on Dean Qiao.' He thought to himself, eagerly waiting for his phone call so that he could proceed with his next plan.
