Chapter 1429: Sunrise Inner City Part 46
BOOM!
BAM!
POW!
The death count between Dump and Dumper continued to rack up until they were both tied at 10 deaths.
Their equipnt durability had long dropped to a severe degree, prompting them to remain as the vanguard.
"Other tanks, please proceed!" Xu Feng announced. As much as he preferred being the spectator and watching them being played, there was a limit to how far he could allow it.
If those two were to continue, then they would really beco a useless tank for the upcoming boss.
The other tanks also no longer stay despicable either. They began to take turns rotating in being the vanguard.
However, unlike the Dump and Dumper’s death rate, the other tanks rarely died.
In fact, they actually took the ti to detect hidden traps or chanisms in their pathway.
They weren’t dumb enough to seriously just walk ahead without checking anything.
And having spectated Dump and Dumper for so long, they were bound to discover so patterns in how the traps and chanisms were placed.
"Tsk, these tanks are really useless. They couldn’t even trigger the traps." Dump comnted in a prideful tone.
"I agree. You and I managed to trigger one almost every few minutes. We made sure our team wouldn’t accidentally trigger one since we’re too big a group to move as one." Dumper calmly said.
"What is death to us tanks who are used to being beaten up anyway? Look at the ti these tanks waste when compared to us rotating." He continued, his voice being significant enough for everyone to hear.
It was only after such comnts that the other Vanguard mbers widened their eyes in disbelief.
So they weren’t really being stupid but actually considerate?
Nearly everyone had their jaws dropped once they realized Dump and Dumper were willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
They weren’t just competing out of ego. Instead, they were competing to ensure the team had a smooth journey.
Upon realizing that, almost everyone felt ashad of their actions.
They thought they were slick, but the truth was that their mindset was beneath that of Dump and Dumper.
Even Carn was astonished and glanced at Xu Feng for confirmation.
"Y-You knew all along?" She asked in a very low tone.
"Naturally." Xu Feng nodded and smiled lightly. The requirent to beco an Elite mber in the guild and to join his raid wasn’t for any lucky or foolish people to pass.
Never judge a book by its cover!
This statent would never go wrong, despite not many people ever actually listening to or following through with it.
Dump and Dumper appeared to be brawn and no brains. But the reality was that their brain functioned way better than most.
What do people often say about genius?
Lunatic!
That was right!
Because geniuses all operated in their own set of minds that regular people failed to comprehend.
And that was the case now for both Dump and Dumper.
"Unbelievable..." Carn muttered. She now glanced at these two tanks in a new light.
Wait a second!
If they were such geniuses, then how co their GMP was so low?
That didn’t make any sense!
In the next second, she inquired about this part to Xu Feng.
"Genius but also too kindhearted." He calmly responded and sent a ssage to her.
"That’s the transaction record of these two in their GMP."
Such a record was obviously accessible for Carn, but she was never the type to check on it.
There wasn’t any need to begin with.
But today, she was indeed curious about the transaction record.
Soti later, Carn’s eyes widened in astonishnt.
"Is this real?" She nearly lost her composure at the weekly rate of their GMP consumption. They earned so much, yet the majority was used to repair their equipnt and buy more potions that increased their attributes.
While she was baffled by the record, Xu Feng sent her another record—this one for raid entries that the guild posted on the billboard.
Carn hesitantly opened the record and noticed the nurous raids these two had entered.
"My goodness," she murmured.
Do these two even know the definition of sleep?
"Wait, they did so many, but it doesn’t seem like many people here know about them." Carn found this point very odd.
"Look at the mber list that they raid with first."
"Hmm... now that you ntioned it. All these people seed to be either newcors or those who had yet to beco official mbers."
Although she rarely cared much about the mbers in the guild, she still recognized so in the elite rank and above. Hence, she was initially shocked that she couldn’t recall any significant mbers in the raiding list.
"While many of the mbers preferred teaming with those of similar rank to ensure faster clear rate, Dump and Dumper chose to assist the newcors to make them feel at ho." Xu Feng comnted and praised their conduct.
After all, he couldn’t be that generous to assist so many newcors. His patience was high, but not that high to be trapped for hours.
Of course, the premise was that he couldn’t afford to waste his ti.
Dump and Dumper could afford it because they didn’t have to worry about the scale of the level that Xu Feng had to deal with.
Nevertheless, that still didn’t nullify the work that these two did; it was amazing.
"Damn, I’m really seeing these two in a new light." Carn was flabbergasted. They appeared to be a joke at first, but it seed like the jokes were on them.
"Why aren’t you rewarding them with extra GMP then?" She suddenly inquired.
"They never asked." Xu Feng mused and shrugged. Had they asked, then he could have done sothing about it. But since they didn’t, then why would he go out of his way to reward them?
That was the cruel reality!
If you did sothing honorable, but refused to air it out, then nobody would know.
Hell, the chances of your credits being taken were also relatively high.
"You really are shaless, hypocritical, and despicable." Carn flatly comnted.
