Chapter 1424: Sunrise Inner City Part 41
"Musical note 5, the number 5 dancer begins to dance your part!"
"Musical note 7, number 7 dancers start to dance after 5 finish their last part!"
As the raiding continued, Xu Feng made sure to look for the musical note being played.
Whenever a specific note was played, he would call out for the dancer, who was assigned the numbered roles, to begin dancing.
Only by dancing and following along the music rhythm would they ensure the musical instrunt contained itself.
After all, the musical instrunt was sentient. If its music was graced with the correct dance moves, it would automatically turn into an ally that buffs them for 2 minutes.
However, if the music was graced with incorrect dance moves, then it would implode, spreading serious damage that ignored the player’s defense and shield.
And dependent on which steps the wrong move was made, it could be an instant wipe or near death.
Of course, everything was still RNG.
You could be wrong in the final step of the dance move and still cause the entire team to wipe.
This was the most dreaded aspect of the Dancing Zither Envoy boss, and why its clear rate was so long and hard.
It wasn’t that the boss was difficult to raid, but it was the chanism that made it very arduous and deadly.
The error margin was so low that one mistake could result in a whole team wipe and resetting from scratch.
"Good work, dancers!" Xu Feng complinted them once the dancing phase was over.
"But don’t relax too hard. The musical note could have repeats, so be on standby at all tis while fulfilling your roles." He continued, warning them again.
Sotis, the dungeon RNG was really bad and could potentially have the sa musical notes appear throughout the raid.
How did he know?
Well, he was one of the amazing people to be fortunate enough to have his sa musical note played out.
Not once, not twice, but thrice!
Yes, Xu Feng still felt a pang of depression when he recalled being hit three tis in a row to dance all the moves.
And since he had such experience already, he didn’t feel bad about ordering these newcors to dance.
’Good, as long as these people dance correctly, this will be a breeze.’ He thought to himself.
Now, so might call him out for jinxing.
But fortunately, they would be wrong today.
Because of his ticulous effort and the ntality that these dancers honed from the illusion, they perford very well.
Everything had gone according to his plan and calculation.
He couldn’t help but feel satisfied when sothing finally went the way his mind calculated. ’Phew, maybe it’s because of Carn here. She’s really my lucky charm.’
Give credit where it is due.
Ever since he t Carn, his luck had been rising.
And since the confirmation of their relationship, his luck reached a new peak.
Although there were so hiccups here and there, the end result always beca amazing.
"Guild Leader, please focus on shot calling." Carn suddenly coughed and reminded him. She was certain that his mind was wandering elsewhere again.
Xu Feng wasn’t embarrassed at being caught. In fact, he was rather honest about slacking off.
"The mbers got the gist. Other than calling for the dance chanic, there’s no need for
to call for anything." He said proudly.
Once he said that, Carn pursed her lips. Indeed, he was correct in the statent.
As she turned her attention to the raid, she noticed Lightning Blade swinging his sword wantonly.
"Good parry, FreeLancer!" Lightning Blade smirked and took the window of opportunity to do a big combo slash.
"Heh, you owe
lunch." Freelancer joked and continuously extended his lance to disrupt the boss’s hand movents.
Amidst the situation, a series of magic spells landed dangerously close to Lightning Blade.
"Stop hoarding all the damage, Blade! Don’t forget you still need to be prepared when your number is called!" Skyfire Mist hissed and reminded his friend.
"I know, right!" Blue Star suddenly chid in and hissed, "Your sword’s flashy light is blocking many people’s vision. Be considerate and scoot to the side and practice your dancing instead."
"Yes, please be considerate." Dark Night calmly said while sneakily using his daggers to slash the boss’s critical flesh points repeatedly.
"Aish, this shaless assassin!" Lightning Blade clicked his tongue and resud his attack.
The sa goes for Blue Star, who realized her verbal tactic had failed.
"These three represent the elite team leader?" VenomPulse’s brows twitched slightly. As the elite team leader for the Neo Team and responsible for tanking, he couldn’t help but feel their shalessness was way too much.
Where is your dignity?
Where is your honor?
Where is your integrity?
Ah, screw that!
He needed to amplify his tanking skill to top the chart ant for tanks, as well as to earn maximum GMP.
While they were overly competitive, so simply relaxed and still reached the top spot.
Cindersong was able to multicast multiple offensive spells to capitalize on her damage while ensuring she wouldn’t block her teammate’s vision.
"The musical note seed to be appearing," Cindersong spoke up when she noticed the Dancing Zither Envoy was playing a different tune on their zither.
"It seems to be for musical notes 3, 8, 11, and 12 this ti." Another player who had superior hearing skills chid in. They were none other than Sweet Sky, who had a degree in music and could discern the types of music notes being played.
Needless to say, these two had been a great assistance for Xu Feng to call out to the dancers to start preparing.
Even though he morized the notes, he needed to see them visually to decide. But with Cindersong and Sweet Sky’s assistance, it saved him a lot of trouble and effort.
Best part of it all?
They were doing it not for GMP, but solely for the success of the raid.
How could he not be pleased with such a mindset?
