Chapter 1412: Sunrise Inner City Part 29

Just earlier, when the cloudy mist was scattered across and avoided Lightning Blade, he was actually gleeful.

He even wanted to laugh at those who were closest to the cloudy mist.

Alas, karma truly never misses in delivering.

In fact, its delivery rate and accuracy were even higher than that of the actual delivery driver when bringing food from the restaurant to their ho.

"Sorry for the disturbances," Lightning Blade arrived at the cloudy mist, which also had Veronica, Sweet Sky, and the slain Guild Leader. Although the Guild Leader was in the gray screen, Veronica’s presence still feared him a large chunk.

"It’s okay," Veronica smiled lightly and pointed at the cloudy mist. "I’ll add so GMP for your effort in consuming the mist."

The bad cop and good cop play.

Since Carn was intent on playing the bad cop and even chose Lightning Blade as the candidate. Then Veronica could only play the good cop role and offer so compensation for Lightning Blade.

After all, it was indeed unfair for Blade to be chosen when there were still other people closer to their side.

But one must admit that Lightning Blade’s agility was indeed high. She didn’t know what happened, but his speed seed to have improved a little.

At that point, Veronica couldn’t help but wonder if this had anything to do with the baiting strategy that Xu Feng orchestrated.

While Veronica was pondering, Lightning Blade had already approached the mist and began inhaling it.

The system had given instructions that you could only consu it by inhaling. The scene was naturally comical, but also extrely depressing for the consur.

Because during the consumption, they would be immobilized for 5 seconds.

In other words, if they were to be disrupted during these 5 seconds, they would not only have to restart the process, but they might also have to deal with so side effects.

And this kind of knowledge was only inford to the consur during the consumption, who quickly relayed their discovery to their team.

[System Notification: You have consud the cloudy mist! You are debuffed for 20 seconds!]

Upon finishing inhaling it all, Lightning Blade quickly fell to his knees, sowhat dizzy.

’What kind of debuff is this?’ Lightning Blade pursed his lips. This felt like a huge migraine headache instead.

His health remained the sa, but he felt like he was being damaged so much that he wanted to call it quits.

Nobody enjoys a heavy migraine.

That kind of tension in the forehead was the worst!

If anyone actually enjoys the heavy migraine, then they might need to get themselves checked into a ntal hospital.

By the ti Lightning Blade returned to the group, he noticed the other three unfortunate individuals who glanced at him with a smug expression.

Needless to say, the three also experienced the sa. But the difference was that they were all sneering at Lightning Blade with their expression alone.

Why was that?

They hadn’t forgotten the gleeful look that Lightning Blade did when he escaped the great fortune of consuming the cloudy mist.

’Karma’s really a bitch...’ Lightning Blade sighed inwardly.

Alas, Lightning Blade could only unsheathe his sword and continued to DPS the Red Ogre Mist.

After all, ti doesn’t stop just because he was forced to consu the cloudy mist.

Nevertheless, the group finally realized the true horror of extre mode difficulty.

Their damage was absolute peanuts!!!

Well, with the exception of Carn, who was the only one doing decent damage.

Unfortunately, Carn was not a god.

Almost 28 minutes had gone by, and the boss’s health was still a little bit over 90%.

"Guild Commander, it’s almost half an hour, but we’re barely chipping the boss down." An Arcane Mage reported.

"I’m about to be at my wits’ end too..." A tank that was sweating bullets cried aloud.

The Red Ogre hit like a goddamn truck. Every ti they tank, their arms get insanely sore.

As for the healers, they were fatigued from constantly trying to spot heal and ensure the team’s survival.

Why were they fatigued?

Spot healing was a term aning that they had to spot and locate the low HP tank and quickly heal them to full. Even a split second late would result in the death of the tank.

It didn’t help either when the low HP tanks were ever changeable.

Not devastating enough?

Many tanks and even so DPS had fallen from just the Red Ogre’s AoE attacks.

The Healers were struggling to even revive everyone, with a few still lying cold on the ground.

Previously, they didn’t even struggle this badly when encountering so forces from the Colossuses.

It was all relaxing and rather easy.

And it was precisely because of this feeling that everyone understood the importance of Xu Feng.

Although they were already aware of Xu Feng’s impact, the real disparity wasn’t revealed until now.

Without Xu Feng, the team really couldn’t afford to fight against an enemy many tis higher than them.

After all, the Red Ogre was Tier 2, but its prowess and ability were equivalent to those of a Tier 3.

Keep in mind that the boss monster’s Tier wasn’t the sa as the player’s.

Just like how a player could be Tier 1, the monster being Tier 1 would have the capability equivalent to that of a Tier 2, and reaching the threshold of a Tier 3.

’Is this really a wipe?’ Carn’s brows furrowed. She had really tried to lead the team, but it was clear that their current mana and struggles wouldn’t last for much longer.

The Red Ogre was truly a nace and the greatest enemy they had faced.

Subconsciously, Carn shifted her sight to the faraway corpse: Xu Feng.

When are you coming back?

As she pondered this question, inside the Origin Dinsion, Xu Feng was panting heavily.

The number of ghoul monsters scattered across the ground was staggeringly high.

"Damn, just where is the Origin Fragnt at?" Xu Feng pursed his lips. More than half an hour had gone by. He was worried about Carn’s side and the guild mbers.
