Chapter 1396: Sunrise Inner City Part 13

The story of thrashing a cabbage stall and losing out on a lot of reputation sohow resonated with a lot of players within the guild.

"Fuck, I also destroyed that old man’s cabbages by accident!"

"It was that old man’s fault anyway to be bringing his cabbages to sell in the middle of a danger zone!"

"God, was that old man a reincarnation from so universe destined to haunt us?"

When Kailey heard about the outcry from so many regarding an old man with cabbages, she couldn’t help but recall an incident, too. It reminded her deja vu of a certain animation that she had seen before, but failed to recall.

’Ugh, I should probably avoid cabbages from now on.’ Ultimately, Kailey shook her head and decided to not think about it further. Her reputation was sparkly clean, so she had no intention of letting an old man file a complaint against her.

It was rare for an NPC to file a complaint against an Immortal, much less the sa NPC filing multiple complaints.

Hence, Kailey could only say these people who got complaints from the sa old man were just beyond unfortunate.

And it wasn’t just Kailey who thought the sa in the scene. Those who didn’t encounter such an NPC also secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

They were relieved and gleeful that so many of their competitors were knocked out of the qualification by an old man.

They decided to thank the old man by avoiding him as if he were a plague. After all, not a single one of them wished to court death and earn the old man’s wrath.

"Okay, those who are still qualified to sign up for the potential raid should make their way to the inner section." Kailey clasped her hands and announced.

But to add so teasing remarks while giving genuine advice, she stared at those whiny guildmates.

"As for those who failed, I can only say better luck next ti and avoid smashing other people’s cabbages. Cabbage is good for our health and ant to be consud, not thrashed."

Shortly after dropping the banger and leaving the rest hanging, the mbers soon burst out laughing. They all teased and taunted slightly at those who crossed the old man’s cabbage.

"Ah, I must purchase so cabbage tonight to eat. They are my blessing."

"Agreed, cabbage is ant to be eaten in delight. Thrashing them? Can’t be ."

"If I ruin so cabbages, then I must really go to a temple to pray."

As these mbers who could proceed to the next steps finish their daily teasing, they all left to get tested/

Only those who failed the qualification could look at each other in a silent understanding filled with sorrow.

There was no hatred among the guildies, but they sure as hell were salty from losing out because of an old man and his damn cabbages.

While they sulked terribly, Xu Feng watched the scenes unfold from the balcony.

"This is sowhat cruel to them," Carn comnted from the sideline.

"Agreed, they were well behaved. It’s just that they got the old man’s bad side." Veronica chid in. She rarely sympathized with others, but these people got disqualified because of a grumpy NPC old man.

It was honestly kind of unjustified.

"If I don’t punish them now and record it as evidence, then do you know what these mbers would face?" Xu Feng didn’t mind their misunderstandings.

After all, none of them could possibly imagine an old man running a cabbage stall would actually be a big shot in the Aetheria Empire.

"Are you saying the old man has a special identity?" Veronica was quick on the uptake. As soone in an administration position, it would be ridiculous if she failed to pick up any signals.

Carn also perked her ears up as she realized this must be another bomb revealing information.

"We should start gearing up for the Sunrise Inner City." Xu Feng didn’t wish to cause another major butterfly effect. So he wanted to dodge the question... except the two won didn’t seem to like that at all.

"I’m going to take a break from administration work. You can fire

or find soone else to do it." Veronica was quick to threaten to resign.

"I also lost all mood to do any PvP or PvE." Carn also followed up, essentially calling it quits. After all, she was credited as the director for the explosive short drama that starred Xu Feng, and was requested or invited to direct many more dramas.

She had a lot of options besides the Divine World.

"..."

Sure enough, Xu Feng was rendered speechless when these two had learned the essence of his shalessness.

’I really should be shaless at tis when these two aren’t present.’ He was truly helpless at their threats.

"Very well, then." He took a deep breath and explained the old man’s close ties with the Aetheria Empire’s royalty and his hidden strength of being capable of defending the whole empire by himself.

If it weren’t for such a capability, then the guards would have never even bothered to take care of an old man’s complaint regarding Immortals repeatedly.

Who would have the ti and patience for that if the old man were really an ordinary person?

Soti later, Carn and Veronica gasped in horror. Only when they were inford of such information did they find Xu Feng’s punishnt to be very adequate.

"Seriously, this ga really goes all the way to make sure you behave properly." Veronica got chills just thinking about the possible repercussions if they allowed this incident to fester.

Offending such a bigshot who had such influence in the empire would definitely ruin one’s future prospects.

Carn nodded in agreent.

"Good thing I’m always hovering in the air and doing good deeds." She patted her chest in relief. Her outstanding behavior was actually very high, with NPCs always treating her kindly and offering big discounts.

Needless to say, Xu Feng’s rapport was actually higher than both of them because his deeds were publicized, with many NPCs appreciating his contribution.

"Alright, we should start preparing Mounts for the participants and make our way to the Inner City Region." He cleared his throat and instructed.
