Chapter 1375: Aetheria Empire Part 22
"Get away from , you anie!" Evelyn pouted when Xu Feng wanted to remove the teacup from her hand.
"Stop drinking the tea, you drunkard!" Xu Feng chided her and snatched the teacup away.
Alas, the mont he did that, Evelyn seed agitated. Like an aggressive monster, she glared at Xu Feng and attempted to pounce on him.
"Holy smokes!" Thankfully, Xu Feng reacted in ti and quickly shackled her movent.
"Shackling ? Are you into BDSM?" Rather than acting in fury, Evelyn suddenly curled her lips upward and grinned devilishly.
"..."
While Xu Feng was utterly stunned by her outrageous words, Madam Ying, who was concealing her presence, was flabbergasted by the situation.
"Seems like the noble wasn’t lying..." She murmured.
Faced with such a situation, she saw him actually actively avoid physical contact and even appeared stupefied when the woman began spouting seductive words.
At the sa ti, she realized her Fragrance Tea seed more attractive to these Immortals.
Just a few buffs, and they drank themselves to such a drunken state.
How amusing was that?
She decided to spectate the scene and watched how this man, who subtly coerced her into a business deal, suffered miserably.
Who told him to behave so arrogantly and all-mighty previously?
Karma really knows how to co and bite them back hard!
A few minutes later, Xu Feng finally found his detoxification pills and forcefully fed Evelyn.
"Are you awake now?" He panted heavily and glanced at her in disbelief. Just what sort of problems did she actually go through to have so much emotion suppressed?
Upon sobering up, Evelyn’s face remained flushed. Except this ti, it was flushed from embarrassnt and not from a drunk state.
’What did I just do and say?’ She remained calm on the surface, but silently, she was screaming internally.
"Okay, save the embarrassing monologue for later." Xu Feng adjusted his glasses and comnted. "What made you drink so much Fragrance Tea?"
"Uhh... it was tasty."
"Sure, now that you’re sobered up. Make sure to pay
back later on."
"How much is the tea?" Evelyn asked and was about to retrieve so coins from her pouch, only to pause midair when Xu Feng inford her of the price. It was so shockingly high that she even gasped in disbelief.
"You drank a total of 50 gold coins."
Because this Fragrance Tea was scarce and limited in the current circumstances, the price had soared to a new high. Moreover, these teas weren’t offered to Immortals for sale.
They were only served the tea because of Xu Feng’s noble status and a voucher from General Henry. Otherwise, they would have been served regular tea that cost like 2-5 copper coins.
"50 gold coins??!" Evelyn twitched her mouth.
"You ordered enough tea for at least a banquet for 30 people." Xu Feng pointed at the table full of teapots.
Evelyn’s body jolted as she slowly turned around.
’My gawd, what is wrong with ?’ She cried inwardly when she saw the number of teapots on the table.
The tea had so addiction, which relaxed her ntality, so without knowing when, she just kept drinking to ease her emotions.
Yet the result ended up making her feel more embarrassed than ever.
"Alright, I won’t pry further about your situation unless you wish to tell . But I do suggest you take a breather." He calmly advised her. This kind of farce stemd from pressure and overworking. He had also dealt with it nurous tis before, and the only solution was to take a step back.
A person was not omnipotent. They could not work like a robot without rest.
Robots could work continuously as long as they had a battery and the program was coded into them.
But humans were different. Humans were not so coded program or operated on replaceable batteries.
"You’re right..." Evelyn pursed her lips and heeded his advice. She was ashad enough and didn’t wish to stay longer. Her face wasn’t that thick.
Soti later, she logged out when Xu Feng granted her permission to teleport to Haven Wind Town. They also exchanged contact offline to discuss their Auction plan and when to do another raid at the Oracle Grotto.
"You Immortals really are sothing else."
Shortly after Evelyn disappeared from the spot, Madam Ying erged from sowhere and comnted.
"You can co and go as you wish, treating our world like so kind of magic portal."
"We may not be considered natives, but we do treat this world as our ho." Xu Feng lightly replied.
In the first major update, NPCs had little to no reaction to players when they logged out in the middle of the open. But now, they were starting to be aware of their presence, especially those with strong mana.
Given Madam Ying’s strength and her intelligence network, it wasn’t hard to believe she held so clues regarding players whom she referred to as Immortals.
"Shall we take a look at your town, Viscount Lin Feng?"
"My pleasure."
...
Twilight Glades, Haven Wind Town
Two silhouettes swooshed by as they appeared in the Teleport Platform.
As usual, two Vanguard Guild mbers were stationed in the Teleport Platform to register players. It was an entry record to ensure who arrived or exited at what ti, and to keep notes.
"Guild Leader?" One of the mbers approached them and was dumbfounded to see it was Xu Feng.
However, when their eyes began to hover toward Madam Ying, their body jolted in shock. Soon, their eyes seed to beco srized as they beca chard by Madam Ying’s appearance and aura.
Just when they were about to fall deeply into a trance, a wave of mana hit them, snapping them back to reality.
"You need to work harder on your ntal concentration." Xu Feng comnted, having assisted his subordinate from being affected by Madam Ying’s natural charm.
"Yes, Guild Leader." Ashad, the person lowered their head and obeyed.
They quickly completed the registration, having simply listed themselves as Guild Leader and a guest.
