Chapter 1351: Demoness Army Part 4

"Tankers, pay attention to the flank! The enemies are shrewd and know how to lure you away!"

"Don’t break out of the formation! Remain intact and keep in position!"

"Sorcerer, if you can’t even deal AoE properly, then you’re going to have to be trained for another 3 hours!"

A series of commands and shouts echoed through the field.

Ken, who acted as the leader of the army, was growing increasingly frustrated by the army’s individual thinking.

Although each of the soldiers was competent on their own, when it ca to coordination and teamwork, they failed miserably.

There were multiple instances in which the soldiers accidentally canceled out each other’s attacks.

Despite the frustration, Ken still managed to control the overall situation and prevent any monsters from damaging their group.

As Ken struggled to relay orders and have the soldiers follow, Carn beca concerned for a bit.

"Are you really not going to intervene and help Ken out?" She whispered softly to Xu Feng’s ear.

"This is Ken’s trial." Xu Feng replied. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to help, but this was a challenge, as well as a hurdle that the Demoness Army must go through.

After all, they were still all 50 individuals who beca grouped together in an army. It takes ti for them to learn and understand each other.

Moreover, he was confident that these 50 individuals would soon beco closer than blood-related people.

This confidence was sothing he had seen and heard about in the past tiline.

"Well, at least our speed isn’t slow," Carn comnted and decided to remain as a spectator. After all, Ken and the rest were veteran Tier 2 people who were close to advancing to Tier 3.

"By the way, how co they couldn’t advance to Tier 3?" She suddenly asked curiously. She had witnessed their combat power and was certain they were long overdue for the promotion.

"Right, now that we’re Tier 2, I should tell you what will happen next. For Tier 3 advancent, we need sothing called an Ethereal Stone."

Xu Feng felt like it was ti to explain so of the future knowledge to her.

As for the risk of the butterfly effect, he could only smile in regret. Although only so changes had been made from his recollection, it was still noticeable.

"An Ethereal Stone? What is that?"

"Just like the na suggests, it’s a stone, but a very unique one. As for how to get it, we’re going to do it right now, aren’t we?"

Realization quickly dawned upon Carn.

"So Tier Advancent is no longer just so mission. We need those Ethereal Stones, and the Oracle Grotto drops them." She gasped and looked at him in surprise.

It was seriously mind-boggling how he knew so much information in advance.

She wasn’t naive like back then, when he claid to have read it in the library.

With Librarian Griselda, she had even personally asked for so secretive or advanced information, only to be denied or rejected with an inexplicable reason.

In fact, she was even inford that such classified information wouldn’t be disclosed to them because of a celestial being. In other words, players must discover it themselves through trials.

Yet Xu Feng still managed to gain his hands on such information effortlessly.

’Feng is just built differently.’ She ultimately shrugged and stopped thinking things too complicatedly.

Soti later, the group officially entered the neutral zone.

And in that instant, the two of them received a series of warnings from the system.

[System Notification: You have entered the neutral zone! Killing is now permitted, and the death penalty has increased by 30%!]

[System Notification: The war between humanity and Colossus could occur in the neutral zone. Players are advised to proceed with extre caution. Upon being killed by the opposing side of your faction, the death penalty would be increased to 50% and a chance of being blocked from logging in!]

While the two were focused on the system prompt, Ken raised his hand to stop the army from advancing.

He then controlled the reins of his horse and approached Xu Feng. "Boss, I can sense a few powerful presences nearby. Should we take a detour?"

Xu Feng opened his map and noticed it was quite limited. The range was no longer as wide as it was back in the first major update.

This goes to show that the Colossus influence had been expanding.

Although Xu Feng hadn’t joined the empire’s army, it was pretty evident that the system would automatically assign them to it unless the players themselves decided to defect to the Colossus side.

"You are the army leader, Ken." Xu Feng declared solemnly.

"I’ll leave the decision-making to you. Whether to detour or confront the enemies, it is your choice. But rember this, I have a eting with a person from the Malefic Order Guild. I do not wish to be late." He continued, emphasizing that ti was running out.

Of course, being a little bit late had no impact whatsoever.

But Ken didn’t know that, and this was a good test to force Ken to beco a good decision maker.

Sure enough, Ken knitted his brows when he realized the responsibility was passed onto him.

’If we take a detour, then we might not make it on ti. Worse, we could possibly encounter even more powerful enemies.’ Ken pondered silently. The Oracle Region had been classified as a neutral zone that could erupt into a war battlefield in the blink of an eye.

And because neither side wished to suffer unnecessary casualties, the region had been left alone, allowing more monsters to grow in power.

"Demoness Army, listen up! We’re going to lure the monsters into our trap and eliminate them in one fell swoop. The boss cannot be late for his eting!" Ken exclaid loudly.

He understood very well that this venture wasn’t happening because their boss wanted to be lazy. Instead, their boss wanted to test their worth and see if they were worth the price.
