Chapter 1313: Film Festival Part 6
"What’s the matter, Feng?" Carn approached him with a concerned look. "Did you get overwheld by the city’s atmosphere?"
She then touched his forehead and wondered if she should call an ambulance.
There was a slight possibility that people from lower-grade cities might not be adaptable to the first-grade city’s environnt.
However, such cases were very scarce and almost non-existent.
In fact, most of the ti, patients from lower-graded cities would turn for the better when granted the chance to co to higher-graded cities for treatnt.
A few monts later, Xu Feng snapped out of his daze.
He had to snap out of it anyway when Carn kept roaming his body everywhere with her hands.
"I’m fine," he held her hand and said gently.
"Are you sure?"
"Mhm, just recalled so mories."
’mories?’ She raised an eyebrow in confusion. Carn was certain he had never been to Green Fla City before.
Still, she didn’t get the ti to brood over it when her phone notification rang.
"Ah, our car is here already. We need to get going." She exclaid, grabbed Xu Feng’s hand, and began dragging him to the designated spot.
Poor Xu Feng was caught off guard and nearly stumbled to the ground.
"How clumsy of you, Feng!" She teased him.
"Was that my fault?" He twitched his mouth.
"Mhmm, who told you to not balance yourself properly?"
"I’ve realized you are becoming more unruly."
"Would you prefer my reserved self? I’m afraid it’s not possible now. Your cunningness has corrupted
deeply."
Silent, Xu Feng could only swallow the accusation. Even though it was false, he had no way to prove it.
In the end, the two of them arrived at the designated spot and boarded a sowhat luxurious car.
The car was driverless, so there was no need for them to be awkward with a third party.
Soti later, the driverless car parked at a hotel.
While Carn exited the car with casual behavior, Xu Feng was deep in thought.
’Twilight Star Hotel...’ This was the very hotel he was staying in during the celebration pool party of the Reaver Guild, promoted to a Super Guild. It was also the very sa place where he was inford of being kicked out of the Reaver Guild.
The suppressed emotions all welled up at this mont when he saw the sa grand hotel in his very eyes.
"Feng?" Carn turned around and glanced at him. "Is there sothing wrong with this hotel?"
Xu Feng failed to hear her words. His mind was currently filled with the past tiline mories.
’Sa hotel, but different trajectory... I’m also no longer the sa Xu Feng.’ He took a deep breath and exited the car.
Looking at Carn’s worried expression, he flashed a warm smile. In the past tiline, the two of them had no interaction.
But in this current tiline, the two of them had ties that couldn’t be replicated.
"I was just fascinated by the hotel in a first-grade city!" He chuckled heartily and hugged Carn’s waist. "I’ll need your support to help
maintain balance. I’m about to get cold feet."
Carn was instantly dumbfounded. When did he beco so childish?
No, childish wasn’t quite right. It was more correct to say he was being cheeky and flirty with her.
’This kind of Feng isn’t bad.’ She giggled sweetly and made him lean on her shoulder.
"Then you’d better lean on my shoulder properly to not fall down. Big Sister here will take good care of you."
"Then may Big Sister keep her promise."
Just like that, the two of them flirted their way to the entry of the Twilight Star Hotel.
Upon entering, so of the guards wanted to inquire about their presence.
In response, Carn simply flashed her phone, which showed her electronic invitation barcode.
One of the guards scanned the barcode and quickly verified their identity.
If anyone was thinking they might be barred from entering or stumble upon so arrogant young masters, then sorry to say.
The Twilight Star Hotel wasn’t so rundown place where any Tom, Dick, and Harry could make trouble in.
"That was so scary, Carn." Xu Feng feigned a frightened look and hugged her tightly. "Those guards seed very strong. Imagine if they wanted to detain us. We would have been dead at."
’Deadat?’ Carn was exasperated. She wasn’t an idiot to not know about the incident in how he dealt with intruders during his visit to Allison’s house.
Those intruders were all top Energy Fighters!
The fact that he ca out with just a small injury hospitalization already spoke volus of his strength.
Moreover, his martial arts choreography during filming had demonstrated his prowess.
Still, she wasn’t going to expose him. She would wait patiently for him to tell the truth.
Soti later, they arrived at the main lobby.
"You’ve finally made it here, Carn."
Kara, who had been socializing with others, quickly greeted her.
"Auntie Kara," Carn dragged Xu Feng alongside and greeted Kara warmly. "I don’t know what happened, but Feng got cold feet. He’s never been to a city in this grade before."
"Understandable," Kara nodded without expressing any surprise. She did her investigation on Xu Feng shortly after they t.
Therefore, she got most of his information and knew he was an orphan in a third-grade city. Oh, it was more appropriate to call it a second-grade city now that the City Competition was basically completed.
Although Kara didn’t say anything else, Xu Feng felt like he had just been degraded into a "poor and pitiful boy" at that mont.
’Why are you using such eyesight?’ He cried inwardly. Carn’s words had completely made her misunderstand his upbringing.
"It’s good to experience things for the first ti. With Carn by your side, I doubt you will have any mistreatnt." Kara expertly grabbed another wine cup that was held by the hotel waiters and handed it to Xu Feng.
"You can handle so alcohol, right?"
"Of course—"
Before Xu Feng could respond, Carn snatched the wine cup and shook her head.
"n turn bad when they consu alcohol. It’s better to switch to milk for him to drink." She said sweetly.
