Chapter 1309: Film Festival Part 2
As much as Xu Feng desired to sleep longer, he was ultimately dragged out of bed by Carn.
"You’re coming with
to discuss things as well." Carn declared. Her reason was very straightforward. As the male lead actor for the hit short drama, it was only right that he would attend as well.
Although she knew very well that Xu Feng no longer wished to act in more dramas, the audience had already made a fan page for him.
His acting skills and appearance swooned quite a large female and male viewers.
Many initially thought he only got the role because of his status and connections, but those negative rumors were quickly dispelled.
Not everyone was blind in their eyesight. They could discern and perceive what was good acting and what was terrible acting.
"You shouldn’t just look at news focused on the Divine World, but more on the entertainnt section now," Carn advised seriously. "You’ve been the talk of the city for a while. Almost every anchor would show clips of your charismatic and natural acting skills."
"Ugh, what is there to be interested in
for?" Xu Feng frowned. Others dread of being an actor and celebrity, but not for him.
Such fa would bring no value except for headaches and more headaches for him.
"Speak, is one of those invitations a friend of yours?" He stared at her and asked. Soone like Carn wouldn’t force him to participate in so etings or discussions unless there was a strong reason behind it.
Sure enough, Carn readily ca clean with her intention.
"Mhmm, one of them was soone I worked with back then. I helped them market their films, and the other side was appreciative of my work." She revealed and explained one of the invitations.
"Among them is Cecilia. She’s been working as an assistant scriptwriter for a well-known person until now. She got her debut, and her scriptwriter requires a person with a wide range of emotions and acting skills."
"..."
Speechless, Xu Feng couldn’t help but wonder if he had been sold privately to a buyer.
"Carn, there’s still a lot of clean up to do in the Divine World." He tried to bring up this reason as an excuse to reject the eting. He was a gar, and not an actor.
Acting wasn’t his hobby or liking.
Who would want to spend 10 hours plus acting and reading a script over and over again?
As for those who wanted to call him spoiled, they are truly the retarded ones who think being an actor was an easy job.
There were so many factors that an actor needed to be aware of, and one singular mishap could easily turn their life upside down.
While Xu Feng felt his reasoning was solidified, Carn suddenly brought up shocking news.
"Divine World, eh? We can’t even play it for now." She coolly said.
"WHAT??!"
"One of the contents from Veronica was also about the Divine World’s state. Apparently, 5 hours after the Global Manhunt event was over, every player received a system notification that the second major update was about to co."
Stunned, Xu Feng’s body was frozen in place.
’The second major actually arrived?’ He had anticipated it for a while, but was still caught off guard by the timing.
Did it arrive because of the mutant boss, the mount, or so other factors?
There were too many unknown variables and factors at the mont for him to design a strategy plan.
Just when he was in deep thought, his forehead was suddenly flicked by Carn.
"Snap out of it, Feng." She placed her hands on her hips and said, "Sotis, I really wonder what you are working so hard for? Aren’t we doing pretty well already? Can’t you take a breather and relax?"
Xu Feng rubbed his forehead slightly. He didn’t react much to her action, granted that they had already confird their relationship status. A girlfriend giving her boyfriend so light smack was a privilege.
"If I relax a bit, then those hostile guilds would take advantage of the situation." He explained the matter. The Global Manhunt event was the best example of how much guilds wanted their heads.
Carn remained silent briefly. She understood where his worries ca from.
The fact that it wasn’t unfound when there were so many hidden Tier 2 players popping out from nowhere was already scary enough.
Nevertheless, this simply made her more determined.
She clenched her fist and stared at him deeply in the eyes. "Because the Vanguard Guild still isn’t recognizable aside from the local region, we must promote and spread our reputation further. The Global Manhunt was impromptu and lasted only an hour. It’s just not enough ti for the rest to know about us."
"So you’re saying..."
"Mhmm!"
Despite not being clear, Xu Feng quickly understood Carn’s aning. The film festival and the discussion to et with other directors and scriptwriters were all a plan to advertise their Vanguard Guild on an international level.
However, understanding was one thing, and doing it was another thing.
"I really don’t want to act anymore." Xu Feng pleaded with Carn. The ti consumption was simply too much.
Moreover, the foundation had already been laid. There was no need for him to continue to act.
"Oh, co on." Carn pouted and suddenly sat on his lap, her arms wrapped around his neck. "Do you know how much their offering fee was? You’re currently the hottest actor in demand. Not only can you act, but your good deeds in the Divine World have been spread. Of course, I an Cool Wind, and not the despicable Lin Feng alias."
"..."
It was at this mont that Xu Feng realized. He had been sold by his very own girlfriend on day one of their relationship.
What garbage advertisent?
What garbage spreading fa?
At the end of the day, it was all about money!
Hard and physical cash!!!
"Do you still have any ethics?" He cried aloud.
"No ethics." Carn giggled and kissed him on the cheek. "I’ve learned all this from you, Feng. You can’t possibly be blaming
now, right, Teacher Feng?"
