Chapter 1284: Global Manhunt Part 8
Carn’s face changed even faster than the speed of light.
"Are you that much of a foodie?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow and asked in concern. It would be disastrous if she were easily convinced by good food.
"I only want your cooking." Carn snorted.
"I admit that the cooking skill from Serena was good, but if I had to choose a chef. I’ll choose you." She continued, subtly implying that she wants the food cooked personally by him. In other words, what she cared about was not the food itself, but the person themselves.
Seeing that she was back to flirting, Xu Feng could only smile awkwardly.
He wanted to lessen the tense atmosphere and create a lighthearted mont.
Alas, it seed to have backfired, and his ntality was about to be affected.
’Ugh, I should start moving.’ He shook his head and read the ssage he just received. Having seen the ssage, the ti he had been waiting for finally arrived.
Without hesitation, Xu Feng gave them the green signal to start preparing the pincer attacks.
"Guild Leader Lin Feng, you are really an ignorant person!"
"Once we ascend the mountain, we’ll definitely kill you and siege your town later on!"
When Xu Feng heard the threats, he nearly rolled his eyes.
Siege his town later on?
Did these people really think he was cut off in communication with the others?
At this mont, many players had started to siege his town. After all, Carn was also stuck in the Global Manhunt, and so was he.
Since two of the top key players were out of the fight, these bastards all wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to attack his town.
Unfortunately for them, Xu Feng had never believed one person alone could defend an entire town.
Even though he admitted Carn had the ability, there was still the "what if" possibility in the case that she would be unavailable.
"You people can save the threat to soone else." Xu Feng activated flight and stared down at the enemies.
"Today, those who dared to make a move against . I, Lin Feng, will keep it to heart and shall repay it tenfold in the future!"
His declaration fell on deaf ears.
Or more specifically, what Xu Feng received in return was jeering laughter and sneering remarks.
"Hahaha, you’ve offended the Divine World System and still dare to make empty threats?"
"Guild Leader Lin Feng, you may have obtained the vanguard position in Tier 2. But tis had changed. Many other guilds also have Tier 2 players!"
"Hmph, so what if you hoard the Training Hall? In the end, your lack of manpower is the downfall!"
"What a bunch of clowns..." Xu Feng shook his head. There was no need to talk with these jealous people.
Since they refused his kind gesture, he shall gladly make them pay.
This was especially true for Blake, Sunblade, and those who are mbers of the Vanguard Chamber of Comrce.
His chamber of comrce had a rule that specifically stated that no mbers were allowed to target or sabotage the Vanguard Guild’s interest in any way.
Once this ironclad rule is broken, then they shall be banned forever as mbers. They could try to appeal, but the chances of successfully appealing and returning as a mber were extrely slim.
After all, what Xu Feng despised the most wasn’t his enemies.
Instead, it was those who betrayed him and turned traitor.
"Don’t want to heal, then let
grant you the heal!" He waved his staff and cast Eternal Bloom Construct. This was an advanced form of Verdant Collapse, which summoned a fully grown plant construct.
The upgraded version was even capable of self-healing and absorbing elental damage. Moreover, it also had a special property known as "Seed Energy," which detonated for massive AoE damage when destroyed.
"Crap, it’s this disgusting plant-like construct again!"
"Hurry up and spread out! Use long-range attacks to destroy the plants!"
"If we let it prolong in the battle, then we’re all going to get screwed over!"
Almost imdiately, so players in the group recognized the construct and beca horrified.
The recording of this specific construct was spread like wildfire back then when Eclipse Nova made his move.
In the blink of an eye, players began to confine the Bloom construct, hoping to impede its growth and ability.
"Rupture!" A Tier 2 Arcane Mage on the enemy’s side sneered and raised their staff upward. They wanted to rupture the Bloom Construct from beneath, essentially uprooting its foundation.
"Hoh, not a bad tactic." Xu Feng nodded in approval. The action was quite logical based on the current information they had in hand.
Unfortunately, using rupture on a construct was just courting death.
If his construct were easily uprooted, then it was truly a disgrace to be labeled as Tier 2.
As soon as the rupture was cast, the ground beneath the construct threatened to uproot the foundation.
But just at that mont, a shockwave was created, and the Bloom Construct grew to another size.
When the Tier 2 Arcane Mage witnessed the scene, they twitched their mouths.
"You’ve got to be kidding , right?" They were dumbfounded at how their action not only failed to destroy the construct but also accelerated its growth.
"Motherfucker, are you playing an impostor?" Instantly, another Tier 2 player darted their eyes at the Arcane Mage and accused them.
"That damn Bloom Construct was tiny initially. Are you sure you cast Rupture and not so fucking Growth Nutrient?"
"I-I’m not trying to play an impostor!!" The Tier 2 Arcane Mage argued and tried to explain their actions.
However, they were a step too late when Xu Feng chid in.
"Good job, my brother! Now, start using rupture to trap these bozos in place. Thanks to you, the Bloom Construct is ready to detonate and send a bunch of them to the gray screen!"
His voice was thunderous and reverberated throughout the area.
"Motherfucker! This bastard really is in cahoots with the Vanguard Guild!"
"Hey, don’t accuse him. He’s not in cahoots with ." Xu Feng cleared his throat and clarified. "I actually don’t know him and was just joking earlier!"
