Chapter 1255: Level 70

Half an hour went by, and Xu Feng was starting to get used to the lifestyle.

"Mhmm, this is good!" Carn dangled her legs around, her hand holding a bunch of different varieties of food.

"As expected of the Guild Leader. The cooking might not be on par with so of the top tier NPC chefs, but the food is fresh and not packaged."

Working on a pot of bowl, Xu Feng nearly tripped himself from the so-called complint. Was she praising him or insulting his cooking skill when compared to the NPC chefs?

Moreover, if the food was really inadequate, then why did she keep requesting for more food?

"If my skill is inferior to the NPCs, then I’ll just hire them to accompany your grinding journey." Xu Feng offered.

"Although it would be a bit costly, it’ll be worth it since you won’t need to worry about their safety. With your AFK grinding strategy, you can just chill with the NPC chef on safe ground."

He had thought his suggestion was great, but little did he know. His suggestion incurred Carn’s wrath.

"Are you dumb?" She clicked her tongue and snorted, "Am I looking for a personal chef to cook for , or soone who I know well to accompany ?"

"Ehm... both?" Xu Feng answered.

A mont of silence occurred. Carn appeared to be in deep thought before she ca to realize the answer wasn’t incorrect.

She was indeed looking for a personal chef, and it had to be soone she knew well.

After all, she couldn’t stand the leering gazes from others.

"Hmph, then are you willing to adventure together with

from now on?" Carn took a deep breath and asked.

This was her attempt in asking whether he would take her as a traveling ga companion.

He had already made it clear that he was not ready for a romantic relationship, and she respected him.

However, that didn’t an she couldn’t use other alternative thods to stay close with him.

Having been put on the spot again, Xu Feng knew he couldn’t avoid her constantly.

’Seems like the short drama production really caused a severe backlash in my interpersonal life.’ He regretted filming the short drama. Alas, it was a little bit too late for regret.

Just like how once an arrow had been shot from the bow, it was impossible to stop its trajectory anymore.

"Are we not already a traveling ga companion?" Xu Feng mused.

Upon hearing that, Carn’s eyes lit up. She interacted with him for so long to understand what his implication ant.

"Hehe, seems like you chose the survival path." She giggled and gave him a look of approval.

’A survival path eh.’ It appeared that his decision to face her pursuit was the correct choice. Otherwise, he reckoned that he might be kicked out of the party. Or worse, she might straight up resign from the guild and join another out of rage.

Given the varieties of skills she had displayed, every Super Guild would be scrambling to recruit her with a blank check. Not only was her fa astonishingly high, but her skills were also on top of the leaderboard.

While Xu Feng was relieved he managed to retain such a god-tier player in the guild, Carn beca excited.

She plunged right into his chest and hugged him tightly.

"Great, shall we start exploring so high level maps together?" She asked eagerly, seemingly reminiscing their old days. She still rembered how Xu Feng sacrificed his life to defend her when she was still a weak summoner.

Feeling her warm embrace, Xu Feng shook his head and patted her back.

"I’m still level 69—"

Before he could finish his words, he received a system prompt.

[System Notification: You have reached level 70! The system detected that you are eligible to undergo the Tier Advancent!]

Ding!

[System Notification: You have received a mission: Origin Trial 2.0!]

Xu Feng’s jaws dropped at the new mission.

"What’s the matter, Guild Leader?" Carn waved her hand around when she saw him staring at the empty air in a daze.

"Nothing much," he snapped out of his daze and explained, "It’s just that the progress of my Origin Cleric is about to resu in this second-tier promotion. My mories are a bit hazy, so all I could rember was doing so reconnaissance task and returning to the Battleship Lux."

Carn’s eyes widened in disbelief when she listened to the details of his Tier Advancent.

"My goodness, what kind of sick tier advancent trial is that?" She was alard to see that he was actually experiencing a different genre ga.

The Battleship Lux event, followed by the realistic reconnaissance task and hidden danger felt like a Sci-Fi movie.

Though the feeling was quite incorrect, granted that it was clearly listed as Interstellar Era.

If that kind of era isn’t Sci-Fi, then the developers are truly a failure.

"Tell

about it." Xu Feng frowned and wanted to give up on the trial. This Origin Trial 2.0 was definitely going to be ntally taxing.

"What about your Tier Advancent? Do you also have to deal with so sick situations?" He then inquired about her situation.

When Carn received the question, she couldn’t help but feel pleased. He was the type to not pry at her information at all. Yet now he was openly asking her about it ant that he was slowly loosening his guard against her.

"Is your ntal health alright?" Carn asked in concern. She didn’t plan on concealing her tier advancent, but she also didn’t want to dampen his mood any further.

"I can handle it." Xu Feng clenched his fist and steeled himself.

He was certain that her tier advancent must have been many tis easier than him.

Unfortunately, he had severely underestimated her luck and his ntal fortitude.

"I just needed to kill a few thousand enemies to pass the Tier Advancent. It took

around half an hour because I got too lazy to involve myself and simply sent my voidlings to do the job while watching a livestream." Carn said after much consideration.
