Chapter 1252: Voidmancer Buff
When Xu Feng joined the team, his pupils constricted.
"Level 73..." He looked at Carn as if she were so cheater.
The mainstream players were still struggling to get to level 70, but here she was, already 3 levels above the desired level of many.
Just what kind of grind did she do?
No, did she even have the ti to grind that much?
"How has your level increased this much when you were still acting as the director?" Xu Feng questioned.
He had been delayed deeply when he was forced to beco the protagonist and read the scripts repeatedly to act out the proper scenes and emotions.
It was hard work, but the director’s job was no easy feat either.
She was responsible for overseeing the entire creative vision of the short drama, going from its initial script developnt through to the final edit.
As if that wasn’t enough, she also needed to guide the cast and crew to bring the story to life by making key creative decisions regarding cara angles, lighting, performance, and all other technical and artistic elents.
The workload could be said to be at least two or three tis more than his.
"Hmm, did I not tell you before?"
Confused, Carn tilted her head slightly and explained, "I was granted the buff of having my experience points multiplied by 500%."
"500%???!" Dumbfounded, Xu Feng nearly dropped his jaw.
"Is that a temporary buff?" He swallowed a mouthful of saliva and asked.
"Of course...NOT!" Carn rolled her eyes. This was the buff that ca from her hidden class.
"It’s permanent, so it’s really quite a headache to constantly level up too often." She shook her head and lanted.
"..."
If it wasn’t for the fact that Carn was his subordinate, then Xu Feng truly wanted to give her a fierce punch to the cheek.
A permanent whopping 500% multiplication in experience points gain...
Which kind of players in the Divine World would not do whatever they could to receive that kind of permanent buff?
"Are you crying, Guild Leader?" Carn suddenly asked with a mischievous grin.
"Why are you doing this?" Xu Feng gazed at her with a bittersweet face.
Hadn’t she gotten her revenge already?
Must she really tease him in such a manner?
"I rember you suffered from a debuff because of your hidden class." She smiled and leaned closer to him. "How about I share my experience points buff to negate your debuff?"
Startled, Xu Feng’s body jolted from her words. The debuff that his Origin Cleric’s hidden class was a pain in the butt.
If it weren’t for the special properties within the Phantasm Sea, then he wouldn’t have even gotten to level 69.
It was just a sha that he couldn’t grind in the Phantasm Sea anymore, lest he might beco captured by either the Abyssal Eye or Tier 6 Gerry.
Both of them were extrely dangerous, and he dared not risk his ga character for a small margin of benefit.
"Oy, answer !" Carn clicked her tongue. She expressed annoyance when he repeatedly went into a daze and ignored her.
"I appreciate your intention, but there’s no need for it." Xu Feng cleared his throat and replied. As much as he wanted to remove or cleanse the debuff away, he wasn’t going to do it at the cost of her progress and future.
He refused to beco the sinner of limiting Carn’s growth rate. She was the Vanguard Guild’s ultimate weapon.
How could he be selfish enough to sabotage her path of slaughter?
Upon hearing his rejection, Carn’s heart lted softly.
Just like she had predicted in her mind, he rejected her suggestion on the spot despite the alluring temptation.
’This Feng really knows how to invade my heart.’ She sneered inwardly.
When he ca clean about how he approached her with nefarious intent, she nearly wanted to laugh aloud.
Carn admitted that she was naive and innocent in the past, but she wasn’t gullible.
Back then, she had already figured Xu Feng must have approached her with a hidden intention. But as they continued to interact, she ca to realize that he genuinely ant well in supporting her and providing her with lots of guidance.
"Who said I will sacrifice my progress for you?" Carn rolled her eyes and explained, "I have a special buff granter that allows
to choose a player to share so experience points without costing
anything. Think of it like an EXP Share with no actual split or division."
"Just how broken is your hidden class?" Exasperated, Xu Feng was starting to question his choices.
Although he admitted his hidden class was still superior, the benefits were far inferior to those of Carn.
It was a good thing his ntality was strong. Otherwise, the repeated shocking revelations from Carn were enough to make one’s rage quit.
"My class isn’t broken." Carn shook her head in denial. "What’s really broken is my goddess luck. Because you are a scumbag and bastard, luck despised you. Hence, you kept receiving debuffs and unlucky incidents."
Xu Feng twitched his mouth. Was he here to ride a free bus carry, or here to be insulted and humiliated?
"Don’t feel wronged, Feng. Lately, you’ve been kissing many beauties left and right. I’m just helping the netizens to give you so jabs to alleviate their agitated mood." Carn patted his shoulder and granted the buff to him.
[System Notification: Player Lunar Wraith has granted a Voidmancer buff to you. The debuff from your Origin Cleric has been effectively nullified. Total experience points buff percentage is currently at 40%!]
"Hah... the debuff that haunted
like a plague was resolved just like this?" Xu Feng didn’t know whether to celebrate or cry about this situation.
"So, what kind of rewards are you going to give ?" Carn curled her lips upward and asked cheekily. "I’ve helped you out with the plight and given you such a massive benefit. Shouldn’t you give
sothing in exchange?"
"What do you want, my Lord?" Xu Feng clasped his hands and took a timid stance.
