Chapter 1123: Being Selfish

Xu Feng already knew that the large motion caused by his guild would entice many to approach his mbers to work for them with large amounts of money.

Since that was the case, he might as well do them a favor and offer a few lovely candidates to beco spies.

And what better way to convince the opposing party that the spy was loyal and greedy for money than to feed them really valuable information?

"Miss Natasha is pleased about my tily intel and even gave

advanced bonuses," Kailey said and proceeded to send the money to Xu Feng’s account.

"Besides the ballistic weapon, she now wants

to uncover what other trump card the guild has and where the source ca from."

Xu Feng nearly laughed aloud when he heard that.

He checked on his account and was quite alard by the amount Kailey sent to him.

"Hmm, didn’t I say you are allowed to take 10% of the money earned by posing this act?" He softly questioned. Although he was satisfied with her efficiency, he also knew that she indeed needed money for her personal issues.

He didn’t pry further when Kailey was about to speak about her personal issues, because he could sense her difficulties.

He was never the type to pry for information from his allies and make them uncomfortable.

"Guild Leader need not worry. I’ve already taken 10% of the money." Kailey smiled. As if knowing that her words weren’t enough to convince him, she decided to reveal her balance account.

Nowadays, there are three types of currencies in the Divine World: Coins, Mana Stones, and real-world currencies.

In her account, there were 6 gold coins, 482 Mana Stones, and around 80,000 dollars.

"Hmm, that’s quite the wealth." Only after seeing this did Xu Feng beco convinced that she had taken her shares.

"Do rember this clearly. I don’t want so heroic sacrifice plays or for the greater good existing in my guild. One should always prioritize themselves, but also know where the limit stands." He warned sternly.

Upon hearing the stern warning, a grateful smile appeared on Kailey’s face.

"Rest assured, Guild Leader!" She nodded her head.

"Kailey has listened to your advice and knows to work for oneself, but never betray those who haven’t wronged you."

"Good! Being selfish to preserve one’s life is a must. But it cannot be done immorally toward those who did well for you. Such a survival is aningless because you’d have lost an important part of you."

Shortly after the life lesson, Xu Feng shifted to another topic.

"Anyway, the reason why I called you over here is so you can report to Natasha about another secret weapon." Xu Feng calmly said.

"Another secret weapon?" She gasped aloud before hurriedly covering her mouth to avoid alerting others. Her eyes widened, completely astonished by the information.

"Mhmm."

Soti later, Xu Feng revealed the SG-TWR-66, which was essentially the Stormspire Guardian.

Its type was that of a defensive lightning tower. It creates a protective storm barrier around a designated radius, striking aerial and ground units that breach it.

What made this tower very special was that it could link with other towers to create a chain-lightning network.

Once the explanation was done, Kailey was out of breath from the bewildernt.

With such powerful towers, were they still supposed to be afraid of the siege?

"Won’t we be invincible with this Stormspire Tower?" A look of excitent flashed across her face.

A chain-lightning network!

Who dares to siege against them?

Anyone who dares to try can be fried into barbecue from the lightning strikes alone!

Unfortunately, what Kailey didn’t know was that Xu Feng only had one tower. The rest of the towers were currently being used at Willowbrook Village.

He had no choice but to lend them to Thorin because he couldn’t afford to lose Willowbrook Village.

It was far too important to continuously supply his mbers and stores with high-quality items at a cheap rate.

"Kailey, take a screenshot of this tower blueprint and emphasize to Natasha that we have over 3 towers." Xu Feng said.

The tower blueprint was precisely the SG-TWR-66, albeit no longer usable.

"Isn’t this going to be harmful to our guild?" Kailey hesitated. She didn’t mind exposing the ballistic because it was going to show its might anyway.

anwhile, it was evident that Xu Feng had no intention of using the Stormspire Tower as well.

Otherwise, he would have already placed the tower down.

"I appreciate the concern, but I know what I’m doing." Xu Feng chuckled softly.

"We only have one tower at the mont. If I were to place it, the effect wouldn’t be ideal. Rather than putting up a half-hearted tower, why not create a fear effect on the enemies to be constantly wary of the existence of this tower?"

Realization quickly dawned upon Kailey.

’So that’s how it is!’ She exclaid inwardly.

By revealing this secretive information to Natasha, she would gain more trust from her. At the sa ti, she could also make them think twice before trying to go all in against their guild, despite them not actually being capable of using the tower.

"The Guild Leader is wise!" She praised him sincerely.

"Haha, I don’t have money to give you." Xu Feng teased in response. He was glad that Kailey understood his intention almost imdiately after a single hint.

What he wanted was this kind of bright and quick-witted player!

He had no intention of training players who were only rash and impulsive.

These types of players were destined to be cannon fodder or beco a sacrificial pawn for others to use.

"I shall report the news to Natasha then," Kailey promptly snapped a picture of the tower blueprint, albeit very blurry.

She only made sure the tower’s na and so of its effect was captured.

As for the other crucial detail, she wouldn’t give them out for free. Moreover, it would be suspicious if she managed to take a clear picture rather than an obscure one.
