Chapter 1070: Phantasm Fish’s Requests

Shortly after Arthur enabled the scale to unveil its true form, a new description was shown to Xu Feng.

Item Na: Arthur’s Scale (Unveiled)

Rarity: Epic

Description: A scale shed from the legendary Phantasm Fish, Arthur, a guardian entity of the Phantasm Sea. This scale carries traces of mythical essence, infused with the serenity of deep tides and the raw power of oceanic currents. When activated by Arthur himself, it reveals its true capabilities, allowing even surface-bound beings to traverse the underwater domain with ease.

Function:

Grants the wearer Underwater Breathing indefinitely.

Enables free swimming movent underwater as if on land (removes movent penalties in subrged zones).

Reduces damage taken from Water and Ice-type attacks by 15%.

Increases swim speed by 25%.

Allows communication with certain Phantasm Sea Entities.

Passive Ability: Tideborn Resilience – While underwater, gradually regenerates 1% HP and 1% MP every 3 seconds.

Lore: Forged by the mysterious harmonics of the Beacon Shrine and bestowed only upon those acknowledged by Arthur, the scale marks the wearer as an ally of the Phantasm Sea. Though small in size, its legacy spans countless tides and was said to be part of Arthur’s eternal watch over the Beacon Shrine.

Reading the new description, Xu Feng nearly choked on his saliva.

’I need to do my storytelling.’ He thought to himself. If doing so storytelling could enable him to receive such a godly item, then he would gladly do it all day and all night.

For those who might not understand his excitent, just think about being told to watch quality movies while getting paid above minimum wage. After watching the movies, you simply need to give an honest review about it with no minimum limit on the word count.

Anyone with so brain cells would accept such a job in a heartbeat.

Hence, Xu Feng’s excitent wasn’t unfounded when he understood the significance of an unveiled Arthur’s Scale.

To be honest, he was even tempted to just peel off Arthur’s scale accidentally and then ask if he could unveil them as well.

However, he refrained from his greed and kept a stoic expression on the surface.

The ti wasn’t ripe to be asking for such an overboard request.

He needed to complete the opening of the Beacon Shrine and turn it on before he was qualified to raise such a request.

"I’ll leave Burpe in your hands, Sir Arthur." Xu Feng cupped his fist and said respectfully.

"You can rest assured. With my presence here, nobody can approach Burpe." Arthur responded solemnly. It was clear that he was more concerned about Burpe’s safety than anyone else, including Xu Feng himself.

Soti later, Xu Feng bid farewell and swam away.

As he swam toward so of the Phantasm Fish habitat, the Arthur’s Scale in his inventory reacted. A warm light was created that shrouded him. The light itself then emitted a familiarity that made the Phantasm Fish believe it was one of their kind.

Soon, so of the Phantasm Fish began to co out of their shell and glanced at Xu Feng curiously.

"Greetings everyone, I’m a Sea Traveler." Xu Feng introduced himself with the title, having embraced it by now. "I was told that there were things that troubled you, and I hope to be of help. Will you be willing to share your plight?"

Although hesitant at first, the warm light emitted from Xu Feng made them feel at ease.

One of them mustered their courage and swam toward him.

"Hello, I’m Joy. Recently, I snuck out while my parents were busy. I had a small pearl that was lost outside, but I dared not search for it." A female fish nad Joy said bitterly.

"Where was the small pearl last seen?" Xu Feng asked softly.

"Outside this protective area. There were many other sea monsters roaming around the periter and they knew I lost sothing precious." Joy’s fish head lowered in sha. She wanted to swim outside and explore the vast Phantasm Sea.

Who could have imagined her mont of impulsiveness resulted in such a plight?

"I see..." Xu Feng nodded in understanding and took out a map. The map was waterproof and automatically recorded by the warship’s function. It wasn’t as powerful as the Phantasm Map, but it would still give him an outlook of the surroundings.

And now it ca in handy as he could have Joy point out the location where she dropped her small pearl.

"Can you pinpoint or circle a certain range of your small pearl?" He showed the map to Joy, who promptly agreed to the request.

She browsed for a few minutes and pointed with her fin at an area.

"It should be around here. The monsters can’t find my small pearl because it has concealing magic embedded. Only with my family scale could you resonate with it." Having said that, Joy removed one of her scales and handed it over to Xu Feng.

"Please find it for , Sea Traveler. It’s a nto from my deceased eldest sister. I can’t live without it." She then pleaded sorrowfully.

"You can be reassured that I will find it no matter what." Xu Feng accepted her scale and realized the scale must have been the recording device for rit and approval from the Beacon Shrine.

After all, following Joy’s courageous request, many more Phantasm Fish began to rush toward him and made their request.

Each one of them handed a piece of their scale and prayed for his success.

In the end, a little over 50 requests were received, and most of them were indeed quite repetitive as Arthur had stated.

’Looks like the swimming speed boost ca in handy.’ He mused inwardly. The mission wasn’t difficult, and none of them required him to kill any monsters.

It was only to find their lost stuff or investigate certain areas and report his findings back to them.

Needless to say, Xu Feng also knew he had to tread carefully because this protective region was cut off from the Phantasm Sea.

In other words, once he ventured outside to do the mission, he would be exposed to the danger and possibly killed.
