Chapter 1056: Mural

Burpe laughed heartily in response after being warmly hugged by Xu Feng.

"Did Burpe do good?" Burpe asked cheerfully.

"Of course, you did." Xu Feng nodded and glanced at him. "Are there more traps like this kind where you can retrieve their weapon?"

"There are, but they are very difficult to dismantle." Burpe nodded and explained the circumstance.

There were many traps scattered across, most of them were embedded and couldn’t be dismantled but so of them could be dismantled and retrieved.

In their usual routine, they would simply phase through all the physical objects to avoid the traps. But during their phasing, they could see the chanisms that were built-in. This was the reason why Burpe was able to dismantle the traps.

"I see." Xu Feng now had a clearer picture of Burpe’s route in the sea dungeon.

"So what do you usually do, Burpe?" He asked in concern. It was hard for him to imagine how Burpe could live for so long in solitude.

"I stroll around and clean the area with the water," Burpe replied and glanced at the exit path occasionally. "I also roam outside this area, but the monsters are very scary. They all wanted to eliminate , and nobody wanted to be my friend."

When Burpe finished their last words, their head was completely lowered, clearly a bit saddened by its failed effort to make friends.

"Fret not, I don’t have many friends either." Xu Feng comforted Burpe.

Burpe popped its small head up and stared at him with a mix of disbelief and doubt.

"It’s the truth." He laughed heartily in response.

"Just like you have those scary monsters, there are also scary people outside as well. I cannot befriend those scary people."

With Xu Feng wording his explanation in such a simple manner, Burpe quickly understood and raised its small hand to pat his chest. It was as if Burpe wanted to soothe him as well and tell him to not worry.

As both held the sa kind of fate, Burpe seed even more at ease next to Xu Feng. An action that he deliberately orchestrated to ensure their cooperation would be seamless.

Though it was indeed a fact that he didn’t have many friends. But unlike Burpe who clearly wished to have friends, Xu Feng didn’t wish for such things. He always allowed nature to take its course regarding friendship, one that didn’t involve any profits or sches.

As a newfound relationship was made, Burpe excitedly followed along with Xu Feng’s instruction to dismantle all usable weapons.

It took a lot of ti, but Xu Feng was willing to wait and praise Burpe occasionally. It started out as a manipulation, this part Xu Feng admitted he was a scum.

However, he had slowly co to like Burpe because the latter was very similar to him when he was all alone with nobody else to lean on.

In the end, Xu Feng made sure to order Burpe to prioritize his safety above all else.

"If a trap cannot be dismantled or there’s any danger, imdiately return to the warship. I’ll blast all those who dare to harbor malicious intent toward you," Xu Feng said solemnly.

"Yes, I know~," Burpe said cheerfully. "Master Bea always warns

to return to her side if I encounter danger as well."

"Your Master is correct. Nothing is more important than your safety."

While the two gradually beca companions and explored the sea dungeon with great enthusiasm, back at Haven Wind Town, things continued to escalate.

Haven Wind Town, Town Hall

"Guild Captain, we’ll need to increase so protocol for the town’s entrance." Blue Star arrived at the office and exclaid.

"The current players waiting outside the town’s entrance are starting to beco agitated. So of them were willing to fork out 1 gold coin to enter, but our town is at max capacity." She continued.

Behind Blue Star were her mbers of the Star Team. They all nodded their heads in agreent, their behavior exuded so exhaustion.

It was evident that to maintain order and stability, they had overexerted themselves and were forced to co to the office to request so action.

Veronica heard their concern and sighed softly. She also wanted to do sothing about the players outside who wished to enter the town, but there was only so much space available for accommodation.

"Guild Captain, I don’t know who spread the news, but many are protesting that we are being biased and following favoritism." Suddenly, Dark Night, the leader of the Night Team entered the office and reported in an infuriated tone.

"Biased and favoritism?" Startled and confused, Veronica was taken aback by this new form of protesting.

"When did we ever discriminate against anyone?" She slamd her palm at the desk. She had been fair to every player who sought to co to their town on a first co first serve.

How dare anyone accuse her of playing favors!

Seeing Veronica losing her cool, Dark Night pursed his lips and explained, "So players who were lucky enough to join the Vanguard Chamber of Comrce slot received the benefit of being able to co to the town without needing to wait in line."

"So you suspect so of the mbers who joined leaked that news?" Blue Star chid in and asked. Although Dark Night was quite vague in his explanation, nobody in the office was ignorant enough to not understand his implication.

Dark Night nodded his head and smiled bitterly. "Yes, that is correct. So now players outside are protesting that this is biased and favoritism to those who joined our chamber of comrce."

What made it difficult for them to resolve the issue was that these protesting players were all willing to throw money at them for that specific benefit.

In other words, they were future wealthy custors.

How could they possibly resort to violence or anything else that might cause them to flock sowhere else?

Just when Blue Star and Dark Night were pondering over the sticky situation, Veronica suddenly laughed loudly.

"Haha, so that’s what the protest was about?" She couldn’t believe that the protest was players arguing to give them money.
