Chapter 1036: Solo Adventure
Natasha sulkingly left the training hall once she knew there was nothing else that could be done to reverse the situation.
With her identity and background exposed, she highly doubted the Vanguard Guild would still treat her with courtesy. Moreover, the longer she stayed in the town, the greater the embarrassnt there was.
After all, there were bound to be many curious gossipers waiting outside the training hall to get a glimpse of her.
She left hastily but made sure to give a final glare at Xu Feng, almost as if saying that she would rember him deeply.
Once Natasha was gone, the atmosphere turned sowhat awkward.
"Well, the training hall was effective and I’ve enjoyed my ti there." He calmly said.
"I’m glad that you enjoyed it." Kailey smiled in response.
"If there’s nothing else, then I shall excuse myself. My client has left and I need to return to guide others." She added, seemingly giving a legitimate excuse.
However, Xu Feng knew that she must have been in a rush to report the situation to her boss.
He nodded in response and said, "I have to leave as well."
With that being said, the two went their separate ways.
Soti later, Xu Feng teleported away from the town and arrived at Evershade City. Thanks to the exposed posts, the battle was no longer just the Vanguard Guild alone, but everyone else who had their interests compromised.
Hence, Xu Feng could finally have his own solo adventure after such a long ti.
’It’s about ti to reap so of the benefits in Evershade City.’ He began heading his way toward the port. With most of the major attention focused on the town’s opening, the city here was quite empty of players.
After all, they had yet to obtain ships to explore the sea. Additionally, ships weren’t rented out by the NPC, forcing players to believe Evershade City was a dead one.
The only reason why it was still able to sustain itself and attract players was that so items in the city were cheaper.
Other than that, there wasn’t much to do in the city.
Of course, that was only from their perspective and not Xu Feng, who knew so insider and trade secrets.
First, he retrieved all the allocated rits stored in a safe near the port by Zhao Kai.
These rits were tradable and earned by Zhao Kai from the very beginning.
It was extrely tedious to earn these rits because of the constant repetition and dedication that required the player to do them daily until a certain ti.
A total of 45,670 Evershade rits were gathered by Zhao Kai. Even Xu Feng was taken by surprise at the amount he retrieved.
’This Kai really didn’t slack off a bit.’ Such an amount ant that Zhao Kai had spent nearly 8 hours each day in the Divine World doing the mission without pause.
The other guild mbers in the guild thought that Zhao Kai was useless baggage, but only Xu Feng knew his worth was way more than theirs.
Carrying the Evershade rits, Xu Feng then arrived at a small shipyard called Night Ship.
An old man was seen lying on a comfortable beach chair, a small folding fan covering his face.
"Scram, there’s no ship for rent or for sale." Before Xu Feng could even speak up, the old man already declared solemnly.
Despite not making any footsteps, the old man already sensed his presence.
So might think this old man must have been powerful, but Xu Feng knew it was an angle trick. At first glance, it seed that the old man wasn’t facing anyone, but the position he sat in perfectly depicted people’s shadow.
This was the old man’s trick in deceiving others that he was omnipotent.
"Are you sure there’s no ship for free?" Xu Feng chuckled and asked.
"For free?" Startled, the old man nearly fell from his chair. "How dare you expect my ships to be for free?"
It was one thing to ask the price of his ship, but another thing to ask his ship for free.
Where was this country bumpkin from?
Was a ship sothing you could just get for free?
In the blink of an eye, the old man’s impression of Xu Feng dropped to negative value.
He harrumped coldly and told Xu Feng to scram. "Get lost before I call for the guards to have you detained for trespassing!"
"Trespassing eh?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow and arrived in front of the old man.
"Are you sure I’m a trespasser?" Having raised the question, he then flashed the amount of Evershade rits he got.
Annoyed, the old man removed his folding fan and was about to lash out until he saw the Evershade rits.
"Over 40k rits?" The old man beca alard and stood up from his chair. His eyes stared intently at the rits, almost as if he was glancing at so valuable gem.
"So what do you think, old man? Am I qualified for a free ship?" Xu Feng asked cheekily. His voice was laced with temptation and provocation.
"Who is an old man?" The old man coldly snorted and introduced himself, "Call
Handso Chao!"
Handso Chao aka Chao Shen was an eccentric old man who had his own sense of humor and talent.
"So it’s Handso Chao." Xu Feng pretended to be in extre shock. He quickly cupped his fist and paid his greetings.
"Pardon
for not recognizing a legend and calling you an old man." He apologized and bowed.
Feeling gleeful that the youngster before him was sensible, Chao Shen smiled and stroked his nonexistent beard.
"Hmph, at least you know how to correct your mistakes." He put on a wise sage behavior. "Those Evershade rits... I won’t question how you obtain it but it must have been very difficult to gather that many. As such, you receive the right to converse with ."
"Thank you, Handso Chao." Xu Feng’s eyes lit up. At the sa ti, he laughed silently. ’As expected of Handso Chao. Still the sa old man who wishes to be praised.’
