Chapter 1023: Carlton and Rodney
Kailey was unable to make the decision when soone unexpectedly intervened but greatly assisted her objective.
Whether it was moral integrity or assistance, she found it hard to involve soone unrelated to their conflict.
"Alright, I’ll return with Carlton on how to devise an eye-catching article." Rodney nodded and said.
"Heh, I never thought I could actually get an opportunity to snap pictures of people from the Illuminati and even make an article about them." Carlton chuckled and held a smirk. In his old company, he was always banned and forced to delete any valuable pictures that involved high society or influential people.
But here in the Divine World, he could go unleash his full power and not be restricted by those sucked-up manager role people.
To be honest, Carlton stumbled across Rodney by chance and they clicked right away for having dealt with a similar situation. They initially planned on working together without being affiliated with any guilds until they t with OneMandia.
Naturally, OneMandia ca to know about them through DataSeer who was always up on the news and noticed a few high-quality posts in the ga forum.
From there, DataSeer and OneMandia worked hard together to establish contact and finally managed to recruit them after showing them their ideologies and how differently the Vanguard Guild does things.
Besides the obvious money-grubber thod, the Vanguard Guild had never once coerced or forced their mbers to do sothing they didn’t want to.
Additionally, Carlton and Rodney were able to see how the guild operated in a fair way and allowed each mber to see why they qualified for their position.
It was indisputable, albeit with so debatable doubts and skepticism for the other Guild Commander, Shadow Blade. But with Lunar Wraith personally vouching that the other Guild Commander was working on sothing secretive, nobody held any doubts.
After all, everyone was impressed and admired Lunar Wraith for her conduct.
Sure, she was ruthless and rciless, but that was always toward people who deserved them. She was never one to blatantly provoke others with her powerful skills.
This alone was already a far cry from other arrogant players who love to throw their weight around and bully others.
"Anyway, I’ll need to accompany them so if you have any other questions, feel free to contact Vortex Viper instead," Kailey suggested and activated her token, leaving them no opportunity to respond.
As her silhouette vanished from the scene, Carlton gave a glance at Rodney.
"Nuh-uh." Rodney swiftly shook his head and raised his hand. "I’m not going to pay for the pictures you took. You can take it up to DataSeer or OneMandia for the fund that you exceeded."
"Oh co on," Carlton frowned and clicked his tongue. "If you want netizens to even click on the article to read your storytelling, a high-quality picture is a must. So it’s only right to snap a few more angles and perspective shots for the netizens to see."
While Carlton was busy explaining his circumstances, he failed to realize Rodney had already escaped from the scene. Rodney was too used to Carlton’s conduct and flowery explanation that could convince anyone if given enough ti. Thus, to safeguard his wallet and avoid being dragged down by him, Rodney chose the most optimal solution: RUN!
Having realized that Rodney escaped secretly, Carlton stomped the ground angrily before worrying about OneMandia’s reaction.
’Surely, he can’t get mad if he sees these high-quality pictures, right?’ Carlton hoped silently and left the area.
As the players still crowded outside the training hall entrance, they remained unaware that people were already inside the building.
"So this is the training hall?" Natasha appeared in the rumored building and found that it was quite ordinary.
"Are you sure this isn’t so sort of arena stage instead?" She raised an eyebrow. She had been to the NPC City’s Arena before so she recognized most of the features.
"Maybe the Vanguard Guild wants to pit us against so other player." Amidst her confusion, she suddenly heard a voice from behind.
Alard, Natasha quickly turned around, only to notice it was the shaless man, Nathan.
"Hmph, if that’s the case, then do you want to have a fight with ?" Natasha sneered and crossed her arms.
She had seen his status screen and knew he was a cleric. As an Arcane Mage, and one with a hidden class, she was confident in teaching Nathan a lesson.
So what if you were level 48?
Could a cleric possibly overwhelm and defeat an arcane mage in a one-on-one fight?
Of course, unless you were Eclipse Nova then you might have acted proud, but unfortunately, Nathan wasn’t. At least that was what was on Natasha’s mind.
Out of every cleric class available in the Divine World, only Eclipse Nova could send shivers to many players. Those who were well inford all knew about his deed and slaughtering skills that didn’t even align with a supposed cleric class.
"You want to fight ?" Xu Feng appeared to be amused as he questioned, "Are you sure your ntality will be fine if you get smoldered by ?"
"Let’s fight!" Natasha was determined to teach this bastard a lesson.
"You guys plan on fighting?" Right at this mont, Kailey arrived at the training hall and was dumbfounded to hear that the two planned on fighting.
Her eyes lit up as she quickly clasped her hands. "If you two really plan on fighting, then I can prepare the stage for you. Afterward, I can lead you to the real training and why we dare to say combat experience would improve by leaps."
Although Kailey didn’t know why Natasha beca so eager to fight, she actually welcod it. By letting Natasha fight without any training first and then fight again after experiencing the training, the effect would be amazing.
’This Nathan is really a great helper.’ Kailey thought to herself, having co to terms that his every action seed to be guiding Natasha to a path of no return.
