Chapter 1015: Fatal Attraction

Bilgewater, Reave Town

“Guild Leader, this is bad!” An Assassin wearing the Reaver Guild emblem barged into the eting room and exclaid. “The Vanguard Guild sohow paid for a lot of propaganda posts and sothing about improving combat experience.”

Gao Zhong, otherwise known as Scythe in the Divine World, frowned deeply.

He was in the eting room and was discussing things with a woman hailed from the Illuminati. Things were going smoothly and he was just about to end it when a subordinate of his decided to barge in and shout bad news.

How fucking stupid was his subordinate?

“Please excuse my subordinate’s bad behavior, Miss Natasha.” Gao Zhong flashed a bittersweet smile and apologized.

Natasha, a level 43 Swordsman Class, glanced at Gao Zhong with a stoic expression.

“Let’s hear what your subordinate has to say to barge into the eting room.” Natasha calmly said, her eyes darting toward the assassin player.

‘I’m going rip this bastard’s skin.’ Gao Zhong cursed at his subordinate secretly while putting up a friendly smile.

“Sure, why not?” He said and allowed his subordinate to speak. Though the truth was that he couldn’t even stop it if he wanted to.

He might have been the guild leader of the Reaver Guild, but he had now relied on the Illuminati to stay afloat.

The biggest authority in the eting room wasn’t him, but Natasha. She not only held a high position in Illuminati but her deanor and ans were also very ruthless.

The series of actions targeting the Vanguard Guild and causing the latter to suffer severe losses were all commanded by Natasha.

Even Gao Zhong was left stupefied when he saw how the supposedly powerful and sturdy Vanguard Guild crumbled overnight.

Well, not really crumble, but it still managed to cause a huge dent into the Vanguard Guild.

“Yes, Guild Leader.” The assassin player then relayed the information.

Soti later, Natasha’s expression changed slightly.

“Hoh, so the Vanguard Guild’s trump card was so sort of thod to increase combat experience.” She tapped her fingers on the table repeatedly.

“Interesting. It appears that I have to make a presence there to check it out.”

“Is it really necessary?” Dumbfounded, Gao Zhong had a bad premonition about the situation. Having attempted to deal with the Vanguard Guild multiple tis and ending in failure, he had developed so sort of PTSD.

If it weren’t for the Illuminati’s insistence on targeting the Vanguard Guild, then Gao Zhong would have just left them alone. He seriously didn’t want to poke a beehive nest and expect to escape unscathed.

“Are you questioning my judgnt now?” Natasha’s eyes narrowed and asked softly.

Instantly, Gao Zhong’s body tensed up as he swiftly shook his head.

“No, it’s just that it’ll take so ti to get a town token.” Gao Zhong explained how there was a ban on their guild from going to Haven Wind Town.

In response, Natasha looked at Gao Zhong as if he was a fool. She wasn’t a part of the Reaver Guild nor does anyone else in public know about her identity.

She could simply teleport to Star Falls City and purchase a town token herself. She doubted many players could afford the 10 silver coins fees.

“It’s truly a miracle that you were able to beco the young heir.” Natasha flatly said before taking her leave.

Once her presence was completely gone, Gao Zhong finally exploded in anger.

BAM!

His fist slamd on the table heavily. He then stood up and glared at the assassin player.

“I’ve already been looked down upon by the Illuminati and you just have to pour salt into my wounds?” He raised his voice and cursed. “Do you know who Natasha is? That bitch alone could report

to the Illuminati and get

kicked out. Are you a spy from the Vanguard guild?”

After saying that, Gao Zhong raised his leg and kicked the assassin player.

The assassin player didn’t attempt to dodge and got into a kneeling position.

“Forgive , Guild Leader.” He cried aloud.

However, deep inside, the assassin player was cursing Gao Zhong repeatedly in his mind.

After all, it was Gao Zhong who told him to report to him whenever there was movent from the Vanguard Guild regardless of the circumstances.

Moreover, there was indeed one thing that Gao Zhong was correct in his words. He was indeed a spy for the Vanguard Guild.

Or technically, he was under Hundred Ghost’s faction nad Ten Ghost.

Since Hundred Ghost was already a spy for Xu Feng, then Ten Ghost being a loyal mber followed suit.

Naturally, Ten Ghost knew about Natasha’s presence in the eting room, so he purposely barged in to create trouble for Gao Zhong.

“Scram and make sure to keep updating any new information!” Gao Zhong hissed coldly and dismissed Ten Ghost.

Ten Ghost kept his act intact and nodded his head obediently. Even when he left, Gao Zhong didn’t suspect anything.

anwhile, a ssage was soon sent to Hundred Ghost about the incident who then relayed the news to Xu Feng.

Twilight Glades, Haven Wind Town

Xu Feng was busy chatting with the new players joining his town until he received a ssage notification.

‘Hmm, who could it be?’ Most of his notifications were turned off except for a few individuals.

Curious, Xu Feng quickly opened his inbox, only to see Hundred Ghost sending him a ssage.

A few minutes later, Xu Feng nearly wanted to laugh aloud. ‘What a good spy he had beco.’

It was indeed a wise choice to rope soone like Hundred Ghost.

The fatal attraction intended for other players had sohow managed to attract Natasha of Illuminati.

This was sothing very unexpected to Xu Feng.

Without hesitation, Xu Feng quickly called for Veronica to be the town’s tour guide.

“Please follow

here,” Veronica didn’t bother to question why and smoothly took over the role of a tour guide.

While she caught the players’ attention, Xu Feng sent a ssage to Crimson Heart to start bringing out the item that she had crafted.

‘I wonder how Natasha would react once she sees the item available in the shop.’ He was curious about how regretful her action would turn into.
