But his victory stirred the forest. Distant howls rose, dozens at once, echoing through the trees. The ground trembled as shadows began to move. The Firefang Wolf had been but a guardian at the edge. The true dangers lay deeper within.
Li Tian wiped blood from his sleeve, his smirk widening. "So, the real ga begins now."
He stepped forward, deeper into the suffocating darkness, where countless crimson eyes began to open.
